Smile 2 (Parker Finn, 2024) Paramount+; 9pm, Sky Cinema PremiereParker Finn's terrific sequel to his own hit horror brings back the first movie's implacable curse – which you can only get rid of by killing someone in front of a traumatised witness. But there's a lot more going on here than random people with malevolent grins followed by gruesome deaths. It's also an effective cautionary tale about the cost of fame, as pop star Skye Riley (a convincingly addled Naomi Scott) struggles with addiction and the pressures of a big tour – though the nightmarish doom-laden hallucinations don't help. England rugby captain announced as new ambassador for King's charity
The 30-year-old co-founded an artists' residency – for African, Caribbean, Southwest Asian, North African and diaspora creators – that runs at The King's Foundation's headquarters in Scotland. So far, seven Akoje Residency artists have stayed at the Dumfries House site in Ayrshire. The King aims to improve sustainability, traditional crafts and the arts through his charity that was founded in 1990 when he was Prince of Wales. Maro Itoje during the British and Irish Lions squad announcement (John Walton/PA) Itoje joins the ranks of fellow ambassadors including footballer David Beckham, actress Sienna Miller and gardener Alan Titchmarsh. His ambassadorship was announced on Friday, and he said in a statement: 'Seeing African art find a home in rural Scotland through the Akoje Residency has been inspiring.' The London-born rugby star added: 'It has been incredibly rewarding to work with The King's Foundation during my artist residency over the past year, and I'm thrilled to build on that relationship by becoming an ambassador for the charity. 'Discovering my passion for art — and the importance of preserving the traditional skills behind it — has been life-changing for me. 'It's been a privilege to witness how the artists have been welcomed and have become part of the local community.' He co-founded the Akoje Gallery with gallery director Khalil Akar in 2023, and it exhibits at different sites across world – but is also accessible online. Dumfries House (Andrew Milligan/PA) Its residency programme was set up in 2024, allowing emerging and established artists to stay on-site in Ayrshire and produce work inspired by the surrounding landscape. Kristina Murrin, chief executive of The King's Foundation, said: 'We have been delighted to work with Maro on the Akoje Residency at Dumfries House over the past year, so it's fantastic to formally cement his role as an ambassador for the Foundation. She added: 'I have personally enjoyed meeting the artists taking part in the residencies and seeing how they have enjoyed living and working on site at the Dumfries house estate. 'We look forward to building on this existing partnership and working with Maro to raise awareness of the importance of traditional heritage skills for artists and ensuring they are given a platform to create.' Maro Itoje for England (Adam Davy/PA) Itoje, who also captains the British and Irish Lions squad and plays as a lock, has represented England 93 times since his first call-up in 2016. He is the first English captain of the British and Irish Lions since Martin Johnson in 2001. The player was named captain of the England team in May ahead of the 2025 Six Nations.

Royal Mint most valuable 50p coins as 10 rarest 50p revealed
We are all being urged to check our change for these valuable coins which, in some cases, are being sold for more than 400 times their face value on online auction sites such as eBay. The famous Kew Gardens 50p was recently knocked off the top spot of rarest 50p coins in the UK when the Royal Mint released the Atlantic Salmon coin. This coin was released with a mintage of just 200,000, the Royal Mint said, narrowly beating the Kew Gardens 50p which had a mintage of 210,000. Other rare designs include Olympic-themed 50ps minted in 2011. Since moving to pounds and pence in 1971, more than 70 variations of the 50p coin have been minted, including several rare designs which could be worth a lot more than 50p. The Royal Mint recently named the Atlantic Salmon 50p as the coin as the rarest currently in circulation in the UK, with just 200,000 copies minted. The coin knocked the 'highly collectable' 2009 Kew Gardens 50p off the top spot for the first time in 15 years, the official maker of British coins said. The Kew Gardens 50p sells for £156.25 on average, but one seller received over £700 for one when they sold it on eBay. The other rarest coins stem predominantly from the 2011 Olympics, with the wrestling, football and judo coins among the most valuable. Only 1.1million of each of these coins were produced. Flopsy bunny and Peter Rabbit designs which were produced in 2018 are also highly valuable. In 2019, 500 million coins were produced, with three new 50p designs. These included one of Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes, Paddington Bear at St Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London. The 50 pence piece has become the most valued and collected coin in the UK, with many collectable designs appearing on its heptagonal canvas. Its 27.5mm diameter makes it the largest of any British coin, and allows space for decorative pictures. It has often been used to celebrate big events over the past 50 years of British history. The rarest coins tend to be of the greatest value, with the mintage (number of coins with each design made) being the fundamental attraction for collectors. Along with the design, other aspects of the coin which increase value are the condition of the coin and whether it has an error in its design. The way in which it is sold can also determine the coin's value - while some coin collectors will bid vast amounts of money on eBay or at auction, others opt for more robust valuations by selling via a coin dealer.
