
Sridhar Babu extends full support to doctors
Karimnagar: The IT and Industries Minister, D Sridhar Babu, said that the State government will extend full support to medical profession in Telangana.
The minister was speaking at the 11th anniversary of the Telangana Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association (Tanacon-2025) on Sunday in Karimnagar. Sridhar Babu assured he would resolve the problems faced by hospitals and private nursing home owners, discuss with the Minister of Health amending the Hospitals Establishment Act, and establish a Medical Policy Corporation for effective decision-making.
He said that the doctors are the frontline warriors of the State and are playing a major role in saving the lives of people.
He said that under the Congress government, the expenditure for the Rajiv Arogya Sri scheme, established under the leadership of the late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, has been increased, and the Clinical Establishment Act was brought during his tenure.
He said that 14 doctors have been elected to the Telangana Legislative Assembly and are working for the progression of doctors. He said that a meeting will be organised and action will be taken to solve the problems faced by private hospitals. He called upon doctors to take part in the Kaleshwaram Saraswati Pushkaram at Manthani.
Dharmapuri MLA and Government Whip Adluri Laxman Kumar, Jagitial MLA Dr Sanjay Kumar, Manakondur MLA Dr Kavvam Pelli Satyanarayana, Korutla MLA Dr K Sanjay Kumar, Dr Palvai Harish Kumar, and Suda Chairman Komatireddy Narender Reddy were present on the day.
On this occasion, TANACON organisation members felicitated the minister. TANACON organisation Chairman Dr Elagandula Srinivas and Telangana State President-elect Dr Arun Katari, IMA President E Naresh, and others were present in the programme.

Cabinet approves remission for 17 life convicts and other key proposals
The Andhra Pradesh State Cabinet has approved a proposal by the Home Department to grant special remission to 17 life-convicted prisoners eligible as of February 1, 2025. Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Minister Kolusu Parthasarathy announced this at a press conference held at the Secretariat on Wednesday. The prisoners who have undergone an actual sentence of 14 years for offences punishable with death and seven years for offences punishable with life imprisonment are eligible for remission. He said: 'The decision for rehabilitation of life convicts and their transformation to live in society provides a new direction to the correctional system. Released prisoners will have to appear before the probation officer and police station within their jurisdiction once every three months. If they commit any crime in the future, the remission will be cancelled'. Land transfer for police academy The Cabinet has also approved the proposal by the Revenue (Lands) Department to transfer 94.497 cents of government land in Pinnamareddypalli village and Nugondapalli village, Agiripalli Mandal, Eluru District, free of cost to the Home Department for the establishment of the Andhra Pradesh Police Academy, subject to obtaining NOC from local authorities. Additionally, the Cabinet also approved the proposal by the Home Department for promotion of 248 constables to head constables in the Andhra Pradesh Special Police Force (APSPF), with a corresponding reduction in the number of constables by 248. Yoga Day The minister said that the Cabinet approved the proposal by the Health, Medical, and Family Welfare Department to ratify short tenders called by APMSIDC, district-level committees, and other departments to establish a world record as part of International Yoga Day celebrations scheduled for June 21 under YOGANDHRA-2025. The main event will be held in Visakhapatnam under the theme 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health,' and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest. Mass yoga programs will be conducted statewide with the participation of approximately 2 crore people to surpass the Guinness World Record of 1.53 lakh people set in Surat in 2023. The main event will be held from RK Beach to Bheemili, and the Chief Minister has suggested expanding the program to accommodate up to 5 lakh participants along the coastline from Bheemili to Srikakulam, he added.

NEET UG 2025 Objection Window Closes Tomorrow: Direct Link To Challenge Answer Key

NEET UG 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the objection window for the NEET UG 2025 on Thursday, June 5, 2025. Candidates who appeared for the examination and wish to challenge the NEET UG 2025 provisional answer key can do so by visiting the official website – by 11.50 PM tomorrow. Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 for each question challenged in the answer key. Similarly, a fee of Rs 200 per question is required to challenge recorded responses. Please note that any objections submitted without the requisite fee or beyond the specified deadline will not be considered. NEET UG 2025: How To Raise Objection? Step 1: Visit the official NTA NEET website- Step 2: Click on the link 'Answer Key Challenge for NEET(UG)-2025". Step 3: Login using your Application Number and Password or Date of Birth. 2,000 participate in yoga practice at Tripurantakam
Tripurantakam: Prakasam district joint collector Ronanki Gopala Krishna announced that the government is conducting a month-long Yogaandhra campaign to create awareness about yoga, with the goal of organising yoga programmes across the state involving two crore people on International Yoga Day on June 21. A yoga practice programme was held on Tuesday morning at the Sri Sri Bala Tripurasundari Devi temple premises in Tripurantakam as part of the Yogaandhra-2025 campaign. Joint Collector Gopala Krishna, Markapur Sub-Collector Sahadit Venkata Trivinag, Yerragondapalem constituency TDP in-charge Guduri Erixion Babu, the temple chairman IV Subba Rao, and others participated in the programme. Speaking on the occasion, JC Gopala Krishna mentioned that the state government has set a target of 5 lakh people participating in the yoga programme in Visakhapatnam on June 21st, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will participate. As part of the Yogaandhra campaign, he explained that four tourist destinations in the district-- Gundlakamma, Tripurantakam, Pakala, and Kothapatnam Beach-- have been selected for yoga programmes on the International Yoga Day. He emphasised that yoga should be part of everyone's daily life, as regular practice leads to an active lifestyle and healthy living while helping prevent various ailments. Regarding the campaign's progress, the JC noted that approximately 2,000 people participated in yoga practice at the programme in Tripurantakam, under the guidance of Patanjali yoga guru Bala Subramanyam. He reported that about 9.66 lakh people have registered in the district so far. He said that one hundred master trainers have been trained in yoga, who have subsequently trained 6415 people. These trainers are now providing yoga training and awareness at the village level, he added.
