More wet spell: Gurgaon to witness heavy rainfall for 3 days
While the intensity of rain is expected to ease gradually after that, light to moderate showers are likely to continue across various parts of the state for the next week, with isolated heavy spells possible until Tuesday.
On Sunday, the city woke up to cloudy skies after overnight showers that began around 10pm on Saturday and continued till midnight.

By the next morning, the city had received 44mm of rain, with Wazirabad tehsil recording the highest at 50mm, followed by Kadipur and Harsaru at 40mm each.
Sohna received 15mm, Manesar 10mm, and Pataudi 3mm. While Farrukhnagar saw a drizzle, Badshapur reported no rainfall.
The city's minimum temperature settled at 26.4 degrees Celsius — slightly up from 26 degrees a day earlier, and the maximum temperature was recorded at 32.6 degrees Celsius as compared to 31.7 degrees on Saturday.
According to IMD, the ongoing wet spell is driven by an upper air cyclonic circulation lying over north Gujarat and adjoining south Rajasthan at the lower tropospheric level.

Additionally, a western disturbance is active as a trough in the middle and upper tropospheric levels, contributing to the persistent rain across northwestern India.
"The current conditions are favourable for continued rainfall activity in parts of south Haryana, including Gurgaon. While the next three days are likely to see widespread rainfall, isolated intense showers may occur, especially till Aug 5. Thereafter, the rainfall will become scattered, but cloudy conditions may persist," said a Met official.
So far, the monsoon has been normal in the city.
Between June 1 and Aug 3, the city recorded 262.2mm of rainfall, about 20% higher than the normal of 218mm for the period.

NEW DELHI: At least ten Army personnel have been reported missing after devastating cloudbursts triggered flash floods in the Harsil area of Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi district, officials confirmed on Tuesday. The missing soldiers were stationed at a camp in the lower Harsil region when the incident occurred, reported news agency ANI. Despite the tragedy hitting their own ranks, Troops joined relief operations on the ground, officials added. The Air Force also swung into action, with Mi-17 V5, Chinook, Cheetah, and ALH helicopters on active standby at the Chandigarh air base. IAF officials say the choppers were equipped with the necessary material and are prepared to take off as soon as weather conditions improve in the affected region. A cloudburst in the catchment area of the Kheer Ganga river led to violent flash floods in the high-altitude village of Dharali, which lies en route to Gangotri. The disaster has claimed the lives of at least four people, while 10 to 12 others may be trapped under debris, local sources said.
