Jennifer Lopez reveals how she addressed Ben Affleck divorce to twins
Emma and Max's love don't cost a thing.
Jennifer Lopez got candid about how her 17-year-old twins helped her through the tough year she had after splitting with ex-husband Ben Affleck following two years of marriage.
'I said, 'I promise you, this is a difficult time, but you're going to see that I'll come out the other side stronger and better.' I promised them that and I did it,' the singer, 55, who shares her children with ex-husband Marc Anthony, told Spanish paper El País.

Lopez added, 'And they feel it now. That gives me a great sense of peace in my life.'
The couple tied the knot in 2022, nearly two decades after calling off their first engagement.

By August 2024, the artist filed for divorce from the actor, 52, The pair finalized their split in January.
'I'm happier that I'm a step further along than I was a year ago, two years ago, three years ago… I'm proud of myself for that and I'm proud that I was able to navigate my children through difficult times, that they're stronger and better because of it,' Lopez explained. 'So, it's a great time to go out there and dance and sing and have a good time with everybody.'
This isn't the first time the Grammy nominee has spoken candidly about the breakup, as back in October, Lopez told Interview Magazine she has no regrets about their relationship.
'That doesn't mean it didn't almost take me out for good. It almost did,' she expressed. 'But now, on the other side of it, I think to myself, 'F–k, that is exactly what I needed. Thank you, god. I'm sorry it took me so long. I'm sorry that you had to do this to me so many times.''

At the time of their split, rumors surfaced about how hard the hitmaker allegedly tried to make things work the second time around.
A source told People that Lopez 'did spend a lot of time making sure Ben was happy and had everything he needed.'
'The way she cared for him was almost childlike,' the insider continued. 'Friends constantly reminded her that she's not responsible for his feelings. He's very moody and dark at times. Jennifer appreciates life in another way. She's very grateful for everything.'

They also claimed that Affleck had 'erratic mood swings,' which allegedly contributed to their split.
'The truth is there was a great deal of love but also unfortunately what became clear were Ben's erratic mood swings that he couldn't hide from the press, as much as he tried to,' the source confessed. 'You could see the erratic behavior, the giant mood swings.'
The insider added that the 'Daredevil' star would allegedly go from 'being incredibly happy and warm — the best light that emanated from him' to 'the deepest, darkest behavior.'
'I think he was signaling a message to the press,' the source said.

'But when the mood swings and the big highs and big lows informed a toxicity that was pervasive, no one can help you — you have to help yourself.'
Despite going their separate ways, both Lopez and Affleck, who share kids Samuel, 13, Seraphina, 16, and Violet, 19, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, have stayed close to one another's children.
In fact, they all attended the premiere of the producer's latest action/thriller, 'The Accountant 2,' in April.
At the event, Affleck told Entertainment Tonight, 'The kids are here, Jen's kids are here. I'm very, very excited. I love when all the kids come out.'

He also clarified that they are on good terms.
'I don't read the stuff online much, and sometimes I get the sense that people perpetuate the idea of … they wanna find something negative to talk about,' Affleck stressed.
'For the record, Jennifer Lopez is spectacular, great to my kids, great ongoing relationship with them,' continued the 'Air' director. 'I love her kids. They're wonderful. She's [an] enormously important, tremendous person of a lot of integrity who I adore and am grateful to.'

When the reporter praised Affleck for being 'a really good dad,' he simply responded, 'I try my best.'
'I'm thrilled that the kids are here with me. The relationships that you can have with children like that, it's the joy of my life. And those kids are amazing, and I'm glad that this is a movie they want to come to.'

Imprisoned reality stars Todd and Julie Chrisley have been pardoned by President Donald Trump—just over two years after they were sentenced to a collective 19 years behind bars for tax evasion and bank fraud. Since their conviction, the couple's daughter, Savannah, 27, has fought to have their sentences overturned, issuing public pleas for government support, while alleging that her parents were being subjected to 'beyond inhumane' conditions behind bars. 8 Todd and Julie Chrisley, reality couple from 'Chrisley Knows Best,' has been pardoned by President Trump and are headed to Nashville. chasechrisley/Instagram Now, the budding real estate agent—who is raising her brother, Grayson, 18, and her 12-year-old niece, Chloe, in her parents' absence—has taken a major step forward in her fight for her parents' freedom after Trump phoned her to say that he plans to pardon both Todd and Julie—who are now home and flexing their freedom online. Prior to their imprisonment, the Chrisley family was known for flaunting their lavish lifestyle, which included the purchase and sale of several luxurious homes. In April 2019, Julie bought a posh property in Brentwood, TN, for $3.4 million, having snapped it up from former hockey pro Mike Ribeiro, who had been playing with the Nashville Predators. The Chrisleys renovated the mansion and, just two months later, put it back on the market for $4.75 million. Advertisement 8 Julie and Todd Chrisley during season 4 of their reality show. Highlights include a formal dining room with hand-painted wallpaper, a rec room, a wine cellar, an indoor sport court, and a wood-paneled office with a decorative ceiling. Set on an acre, the grounds boast a covered patio with a fireplace and barbecue station, as well as a pool and spa. It was sold in 2023. The Belle Meade home was purchased by the family for $1.6 million in 2016, when they relocated from Atlanta to Nashville. The home quickly earned its own celebrity profile after being featured on their hit series. Built in 2014, the four-bedroom, 5,229-square-foot home features a living room with multiple sets of French doors, an open kitchen with a large island, a wet bar, and two fireplaces. Christopher Oquendo for NY Post In 2020, ownership of the Belle Meade property was transferred to Savannah, and it is understood that this is the home where Todd and Julie will live as soon as they are freed. They finally managed to sell their Brentwood property in 2023, netting $5.2 million for the home in an off-market transaction that was arranged while the duo was behind bars. Todd and Julie have a long history of buying and selling homes in Atlanta, before they moved to Nashville. In 2006, Todd purchased a 16-acre estate in the upscale Buckhead neighborhood. He paid an eye-watering $9 million for the eight-bedroom European-style mansion. 8 After making a name for themselves on reality TV, the couple moved from Atlanta to Nashville in 2016, and will be living with Savannah in the family's Lynwood Boulevard mansion. According to reports, he lost the property to foreclosure in 2012. In the show's first season, the family lived regally in a nine-bedroom, 30,000-square-foot pile in the Atlanta suburb of Roswell. Located in a gated community, the property offered landscaped grounds, along with a heated saltwater pool and hot tub, an outdoor terrace with a fireplace, and a children's playground. 8 Chrisley Knows Best cast from left: Faye Chrisley, Chase Chrisley, Todd Chrisley, Savannah Chrisley, Chloe Chrisley, Julie Chrisley, Grayson Chrisley. USA Networks/Courtesy Everett Collection Initially listed in 2007 for $7 million, the mansion bounced on and off the market for years before finally selling for $1.2 million in 2014. To maintain camera-ready appearances for their show, the Chrisley family leased a posh place in Suwanee, GA, in 2014. It was the backdrop of their program after they had to leave their Roswell estate. Built in 2006, the 7,800-square-foot mansion sits on the sixth hole of the River Club golf course. The custom-built residence features built-ins, teak flooring, fireplaces, an office, and a formal dining room. The primary suite has a fireplace, dual closets, and golf course views—and it was often the focus of scenes in the show. When it came on the luxury rental market in 2016, the monthly lease was a steep $8,000. Unrelated to any Chrisley shenanigans, the mansion popped on the market in February for $1,949,000 and was sold a month later for $1,868,000. The family also laid claim to another Atlanta-area home. The four-bedroom, 3,000-square-foot brick house in Alpharetta was reportedly the home of Todd's mother, known as 'Nanny' Faye on the show. It was purchased for $452,900 in 2005, and in 2017, it was sold for $540,000.

Swindonian becomes new Doctor Who in dramatic series finale
Swindon-born Billie Piper has seemingly been confirmed as the next Doctor in the finale of the latest series of Doctor Who. Swindon's very own Billie Piper had been odds-on favourite to replace the outgoing Ncuti Gatwa amidst rumours he would step away from the show at the end of this series. His time as the fifteenth Doctor did indeed come to an end on Saturday night's episode with the series ending with his regeneration. In the episode's final moments, Billie Piper's face appeared, she looked directly into the camera and said 'Oh, hello', before the final credits rolled. 🔥 SPOILERS! 🔥 Watch the moment we said goodbye to the Fifteenth Doctor and hello to... #DoctorWho — Doctor Who (@bbcdoctorwho) May 31, 2025 Billie Piper (Image: PA)Suggested reading One motorcyclist dead and three seriously injured after horror crash Three schools to benefit from £1.2 billion pot to fix 'crumbling' facilities Rock star to open garden and car collection to the public Billie has long been a fan favourite for Doctor Who followers thanks to her previous stint as Rose Tyler, when she played the Doctor's companion alongside both Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant 20 years ago. She also returned for several guest star appearances in 2008 and featured in the show's 50th anniversary special in 2013. Prior to the big season finale reveal, Billie teased her unveiling as the apparent new doctor with a post on her Instagram page, which said: "A rose is a rose is a rose." Speculation had been mounting during the week beforehand, with bookmakers having Billie as the odds-on favourite to become the new Doctor and fansites also pegging the actress as the latest to take on the iconic character. Billie now looks set to play the Doctor moving forward, becoming the first person ever to appear in the show as both a companion and as the Doctor. Although fans of the show will be quick to point out that the show has previously always done a 'Introducing [Actor] as the doctor' announcement in the end credits when they regenerate, but that didn't happen this time, so perhaps there are classic Doctor Who shenanigans afoot. Also, as things stand, a new season of Doctor Who has yet to be officially announced, plus it is uncertain whether or not the partnership with Disney will also continue past the end of this season. Billie was born in Swindon in 1982 and attended Brandon Forest School in Purton before moving to London at the age of 12 to pursue a career on stage and screen.
