Mystery surrounds the heartbreaking double suicide of a married couple in the centre of Sydney with new details emerging about where they were just one hour earlier
A married couple's final moments before their public double suicide has emerged, with the pair visiting a Sydney casino in the leadup to their death. Angela Nesbitt and Steven Dash left The Star, in Pyrmont, about 8.55am on Saturday before falling from a walk bridge on the Western Distributor, near Sydney Harbour Bridge, onto Harbour Street, about 9.45am. Security guards asked Ms Nesbitt and Mr Dash, who lived in Sydney's south, to leave the casino following concerns over their 'erratic' behaviour. A comment was reportedly made to security about self-harming, which led to concerns being raised about the couple's welfare and police were notified. Officers searched for the married couple around Pyrmont and Darling Harbour, but less than an hour after they left The Star, they sadly received a report two people had fallen from a bridge. The couple, who are both aged in their 40s, died before emergency services could arrive. Police have confirmed the couple's visit to the casino, and whether they had been gambling, is under investigation. Ms Nesbitt and Mr Dash's history of mental health issues is also set to be looked into. Last year, police responded to an incident involving the couple, in which they reportedly threatened dual self-harm at the Queen Victoria Building. 'They are known to have a history of mental health issues,' a police source told the Daily Telegraph. 'They were at The Star for some time … the male was acting erratic so they asked him to leave. 'We believe a comment was then made to security at The Star about committing self harm, and security did the right thing and called police. 'Officers were looking for the couple when they got the call (about their deaths).' In a statement released on Saturday, NSW Police confirmed officers had 'established there were no suspicious circumstances' surrounding the couple's death. Investigators conducted extensive inquiries, including sourcing mobile phone and CCTV footage. Ms Nesbitt and Mr Dash married in 2022 and had recently travelled overseas together. The couple's double suicide led to significant traffic disruptions after police tapped off a crime scene and shut down major roads. Two southbound lanes from the Sydney Harbour Bridge were closed for several hours. Motorists were diverted onto the Anzac Bridge while officers concluded investigations. Lifeline 13 11 14

The company began to email customers in June to let them know that if they do not sign up to the new provider then their email account will be closed. TalkTalk broadband customers will be able to continue to use the email service for free. As a result, this will affect those who are no longer with TalkTalk but still have an associated email address. Ini its email to customers, the company said it was changing the way it charges because it us now using a new company to provide background tech support for emails. Email addresses affected Any user whose email address ends with one of the following needs to be prepared: @ @ @ @ @ It's worth noting that this not the full list of affected email addresses as TalkTalk provides a range of services. It has not yet released the full list. When the change takes place The date users need to keep in mind is October 31, 2025. From this date anyone who has an associated email will have to pay £5 a month or £50 a year to keep it running. This, of course, was not always the case. CHECK YOUR SPEED: Broadband In the past, if customers left TalkTalk they were able to keep their email account for up to two years. This webmail service was provided for anyone accessing their account via a web browser for two years. However, recent subscribers have had to pay to subscribe immediately. Any user who wants to switch to another service should download their data immediately. How to spot a dodgy app Detecting a malicious app before you hit the 'Download' button is easy when you know the signs. Follow this eight-point checklist when you're downloading an app you're unsure about: Check the reviews - be wary of both complaints and uniformly positive reviews by fake accounts. Look out for grammar mistakes - legitimate app developers won't have typos or errors in their app descriptions. Check the number of downloads - avoid apps with only several thousand downloads, as it could be fake. Research the developer - do they have a good reputation? Or, are totally fake? Check the release date - a recent release date paired with a high number of downloads is usually bad news. Review the permission agreement - this agreement gives permission for the app to take bits of your data, and fake apps often ask for additional data that is not necessary. Check the update frequency - an app that is updated too frequently is usually indicative of security vulnerabilities. Check the icon - look closely, and don't be deceived by distorted, lower-quality versions the icons from legitimate apps. All of this information will available in both Apple's App Store and the Google Play Store.

Sydney pub shooting: man dead and another wounded outside Harold Park hotel in Forest Lodge
One man is dead and another is in hospital with serious wounds after a shooting outside a Sydney pub which police described as 'outrageous' and 'brazen'. Emergency services were called to the Harold Park hotel on Ross Street in Forest Lodge in Sydney's inner west at about 6.40pm on Sunday. New South Wales police said two people had been shot multiple times by unknown assailants who left the scene by car. One man died at the scene while a second was treated by paramedics for gunshot wounds. He was in a critical condition on Monday morning after finishing a second round of surgeries. In a press conference on Monday, Det Supt Alfio Sergi of the Leichhardt Police Area Command said 'numerous' shots were fired outside pub, with some being described as 'whizzing by' by a woman working there while she was picking up glasses outside. Sergi said it had been an 'extremely dangerous' situation, and although the investigation was in its early stages, he believed it was a 'targeted attack'. 'Obviously we'll be looking at [any] links with organised crime networks, that will be a focus of our investigation,' he said. Sergi told 2GB on Monday morning the two victims had been walking from the pub to their car when they appear to have been 'ambushed' by one or more gunman. A 39-year-old man was shot. Despite being treated by police, whom Sergi said were 'nearby', as well as paramedics and a local doctor, he died at the scene. Sergi said the other victim, a 31-year-old man, was 'chased by the offender, he was shot a number of times, he slumped at the back of the hotel, again police rendered first aid assisted by some medical students who were in the hotel'. He described the shootings as an 'outrageous, brazen, callous attack', adding that a bullet hit one of the pub windows and 'narrowly missed' a female staff member. Sergi said police were searching for a dark-coloured vehicle and appealed for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
