The Centre, Livingston unveils plans to open new jewellery store and restaurant
The Centre, Livingston has unveiled plans to open a new jewellery store, F.Hinds and a 380-seater Marble Buffet restaurant.
The new restaurant will be their first site in a Scottish mall with both stores creating a total of 41 new jobs for the local area.
F.Hinds is a sixth generation, family-run jewellers which opened its first store in London in 1856 and now has 118 stores across the UK, the store will offer a wide range of products for every age, taste and occasion, as well as popular services including jewellery and watch repairs.
The store, which will be located next to Ryman, is due to open in August, bringing six new jobs to the shopping centre.
The contemporary designed Marble Buffet restaurant, which will create 35 new jobs, will be located above Nando's on Almondvale Boulevard, and is expected to open in May 2026.
It will feature live cooking stations with skilled chefs creating a wide selection of dishes from around the world including Asian, Indian and European.
The announcement follows the arrival of various new retailers to the shopping centre over the past 18 months, including the first Cinnabon in Scotland, Las Iguanas, wellbeing store Rituals, Danish lifestyle and homeware brand Sostrene Grene, Pop Specs, The Designer Rooms and a 90-seater Starbucks in February.
In addition to welcoming new retailers, the owners, LCP, part of M Core, one of Europe's leading, privately owned commercial property development and management companies, also recently announced plans to expand into the leisure sector.
The UK's leading family entertainment provider, Hollywood Bowl, is set to open a venue next year featuring 22 cutting-edge bowling lanes, an arcade and a bar and diner, giving shoppers the opportunity to 'shop, eat and play' when they visit.

Ryanair sets monthly passenger record despite air traffic control strikes
The Dublin-based carrier announced 20.7 million passengers travelled on its flights in July. That is up 3% from 20.2 million during the same month last year. Its load factor – which represents the average proportion of seat filled on its aircraft – was stable at 96%. Ryanair said it operated more than 113,000 flights in July and cancelled 680, mainly because of French controller strikes. French ATC staff took industrial action on July 3 and 4 in a dispute over working conditions. As well as disrupting flights to and from French airports, the walkouts affected flights scheduled to travel over French airspace. This meant many services to or from UK airports were delayed or cancelled. EasyJet chief executive Kenton Jarvis previously described the French strikes as 'very, very disruptive' as they forced the airline to cancel 660 flights and cost it £15 million. Around 70% of easyJet's flights either fly to or from a French airport, or over the country's airspace. European air traffic management body Eurocontrol estimated the strikes affected more than one million passengers. Meanwhile, a radar fault suffered by UK ATC provider Nats led to more than 100 UK flights being cancelled on July 30.

'I can put up with it for a while. I don't mind being unpopular because I get that nobody likes seeing Manchester United down where they are, and nobody likes the decisions we're having to make. 'Greater competition breeds greater interest and it is brilliant to hear. Also you are talking about a guy who has a track record with clubs that he has been involved with, the main one being Union Saint Gilloise, he's done brilliant with his connection at Como as well where he's brought in players that have been sold for big money. For him to be coming out and talk about looking to win at least one title in the next decade, I think that is music to the ears of all neutrals in Scottish football.' Bloom's track record speaks for itself Whether you agree with Stewart or not, there is no denying that he is 100% accurate when talking about Bloom's track record. Union Saint Gilloise hadn't won a Belgian top tier title for 90 years and were languishing in the second division before Bloom came along and transformed them into Pro League champions last year. Furthermore, during his time at Brighton he has turned them into a prominent Premier League side, who are arguably one of the best run clubs in the English top flight. The Seagulls have brought in talent such as Moises Caicedo, Alexis Mac Allister and Leandro Trossard over the past five years and have made a profit of over £200m on these players alone.
