Amazon Prime Day deal cuts 52% off viral snail serum hailed as 'temporary Botox'
Korean beauty is having a bit of a moment right now. From glass skin to a radiant complexion, the viral skincare trend is said to provide multiple sought-after benefits.
One product that currently reigns as one of the biggest sellers is the COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence. A TikTok favourite with over 85,000 reviews on Amazon, some have likened its results to Botox.
Skincare fans who are yet to try it out for themselves will find that it is currently 52 per cent less in the four-day Amazon Prime Day sale that kicked off this morning and will be available until midnight on Friday, July 11.
A 100ml of this "effective" serum would usually set shoppers back £23.99, although the four-day sale has knocked it down to just £11.50, making it the lowest price that we have seen it going for, so we'd advise taking advantage of it while it's available.
Designed to protect skin from ageing and dryness, this "powerhouse" essence has been infused with 96.3 percent snail secretion Filtrate to deliver multiple skincare benefits such as improved firmness, breakout prevention, smoother texture and anti-redness.
The "lightweight" formula doesn't just glide onto the skin, but it also boasts skincare hero hyaluronic acid to deliver deep hydration, with some reviews saying it is the holy grail for that "glass skin" effect.
Not only is it a hit with Amazon users, but our own reporter Lucy Farrell previously tried it out, sharing that her skin was left "glowing without looking greasy" after a couple of months of consistent use.
With K-beauty all the rage, there are other similar products worth trying out, such as the Beauty of Joseon Revive Serum Ginseng + Snail Mucin (30ml) that is just £15 on Lookfantastic.
Another product that uses the same skincare ingredient to deliver multiple benefits is the Dr Organic Healthy Ageing Snail Gel Facial Serum (30ml) that can be bought from Holland and Barrett for £15.37.
There's no denying the reputation of the COSRX serum though, as it boasts an incredible 4.5 rating on Amazon from beauty fans who have hailed it as a "holy grail" that has "literally" changed their life.
One five-star review read: "I've been using this product and some other snail items for more than 6 months now. My skin feels amazing, I was even asked if I've had Botox so that should tell you something."
Beauty deal of the week
Looking to upgrade your straighteners, then look no further than this Amazon deal we have spotted.
The Remington Advanced Coconut Therapy Hair Straightener, which has been hailed as "better than ghd", is now on offer for a staggering 75 percent less, as it is has been dropped from £139.99 to just £34.90.
To help keep hair soft and shiny with each use, the floating ceramic plates feature micro-conditioners that have been infused with coconut oil and UV filters, keeping tresses protected from any frizz caused by too much heat.
Its salon-style design means it comes complete with an ultra-fast 15-second heat up time and five digital temperature controls up to 230C, while the rounded barrel design with a swivel cord makes it easy to create either a sleek straight or bouncy curls look.
There's also an integrated sensor that kicks in when the plates come into contact with the hair, ensuring they never overheat, while plate lock and auto-shut off function offers peace of mind and safety.
Considering Remington's status for hair tools, it's no surprise to hear that this coconut-infused straightener has been singled out as an 'Amazon Choice' product, with a glowing 4.4 rating based on over 1,000 reviews from happy purchasers.
One beauty fan praised: "Better than ghds. What can I say I have used GHDs for the last 20 years? My last pair broke yesterday so after some research I thought I would try these Remington's.
"I can't believe how straight my hair is gone, not even my GHD's got it this straight. Amazing straighteners on would recommend to anybody, I have thick course hair and look how smooth it looks."
A second devoted fan wrote: "The holy grail to glass skin. This is my third purchase of this serum. Even when I use it without my other serums and lotions, it still gives a beautiful glassy look to my skin.
"I have tried HUNDREDS of serums and moisturisers and I truly found The One with this one. I'm prone to breakouts and I've not had a single one since using this serum either."
The texture hasn't been ideal for everyone, as one three-star review read: "It does hydrate skin but brings my skin out in these small bumps. I will continue to try it but it won't be my go-to. Slimy consistency which some people may not like."
However, someone who praised the serum's results gushed: "I bought this product for my mother and she loves it! She says it is like temporary Botox for her and she really how it makes her skin beautiful."
Someone else gushed: "This product literally changed my life! My face is so bright, soft (not greasy), fresh looking, younger, glowing & hydrated. It's a great affordable price & goes a long way. My face looks great. I've gotten lots of compliments. I'm so glad I bought this & plan on keeping it stocked up. Going to buy for my family & friends for Christmas. Thank you COSRX!"
The viral COSRX Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (100ml) is available at its cheapest price in Amazon Prime Day now.

New runners are falling into these common traps
A poll of 2,000 adults found 42 per cent have skipped a running warm-up or cool-down. While a third (32 per cent) have run through pain, or ignored early injury warning signs, just to stay moving. More than nine in 10 (94 per cent) admitted to making at least one 'running red flag' mistake, with many making the same early missteps. More than a quarter (27 per cent) wore the wrong shoes or gear, while 23 per cent compared their efforts to others on social media like Strava. Others admitted to buying expensive gear before building a habit (15 per cent), or following rigid training plans that don't fit real lives (18 per cent). The research was commissioned by Samsung to promote its Galaxy Watch8. Clinical Psychologist Dr Julie Smith warns red flags are part of the process, but the key is knowing when to spot them and when to reset. She said: 'Many people take up running to feel better mentally as well as physically — but it's easy to fall into 'all or nothing' thinking. 'They push themselves too hard, compare their progress to others, and when it doesn't go perfectly, they give up. 'That mindset can take a real toll on both motivation and mental wellbeing. The research went on to find mental wellbeing is now one of the top reasons that people start running. Nearly half (46 per cent) who have started running in the last six months, said they lace up primarily to manage stress and improve mood rather than to hit traditional fitness goals. While 21 per cent said they were looking to connect with others or join a community. When running becomes a habit, the benefits are wide-reaching. Respondents said running helped them to reduce stress (48 per cent), sleep better (51 per cent), improve their mood (52 per cent) and boost energy during the day (42 per cent). A quarter (24 per cent) said celebrity stories like Jamie Laing's and Spencer Matthews' have inspired them to start running, while 37 per cent were inspired by a friend or family member's transformation. Local running clubs and parkruns (26 per cent) are also powerful motivators, while social media continues to play a role, with 23 per cent crediting running influencers on platforms like Instagram and TikTok for sparking their interest. Dr Julie Smith added: 'The Galaxy Watch8's Running Coach helps people stay grounded with real-time support and structure, while also tracking key wellness indicators like sleep and heart rate variability. 'Tools that empower runners to build sustainable habits that support both body and mind.'

Shoppers say 'brilliant' £25 skincare buy 'gets rid of spots overnight'
'Nothing compares. It's my holy grail product and something I wouldn't be without' There's nothing quite like a pimple popping up right before an important event to ruin your vibe, whether it's a wedding, job interview or first date. While countless products claim to zap zits, one treatment has shoppers saying they'll never use anything again: the MALIN+GOETZ 10% Sulfur Paste. This overnight drying lotion is designed to shrink blemishes fast, without turning a skincare routine into a 10-step mission. Formulated with a blend of sulphur and salicylic acid, the £25 treatment works to dry out spots, absorb excess oil and target impurities beneath the surface. Using it couldn't be easier. Dip a cotton swab into the bottle (no shaking or mixing required), dab directly onto the breakout and leave it on overnight. Take note, though, that this is a once-a-night kind of treatment and applying it too much can cause excessive dryness. 'I tried Rodial's cult £45 setting powder with a 5,000 person waitlist' Primer that 'fills fine lines' gets 66-year-old 'compliments' from 30-year-olds Of course, there are plenty more spot solutions out there. Hero Mighty Pimple Patches (£4.99, Boots) offer a simple yet effective way to care for skin. They're discreet enough to apply, making them a convenient option for on-the-go treatment without drawing attention to zits. Otherwise, the CeraVe Blemish Control Gel Moisturiser (£11.99, Amazon) is another option. The formula targets blemishes and blackheads, and can be applied all over the face or on affected areas. As mentioned, the MALIN+GOETZ 10% Sulfur Paste has had some great reviews from shoppers. This person said: "I must be on my 25th bottle of this product. It's the only spot treatment that will get rid of a cyst or spot overnight. It always works and it's brilliant, nothing compares. It's my holy grail product and something I wouldn't be without." A second chimed in: "I have used Eve Lom Dynaspot for years to treat the occasional breakout, but Malin + Goetz Sulfur Paste is far more effective. "It does have a very slight sting when first applied to the skin, but it is relatively mild, and when used in the evening, by morning, there is a noticeable improvement in size and colour of spots. I have normal/slightly dry skin and am not prone to many spots, but this is great to reduce redness when they do appear." However, this user warned: "This serum was far too drying and made my acne more irritated upon use. If you are struggling with acne, it's best to see a professional dermatologist who specialises in acne, as they can recommend the most suitable products. "These kinds of serums are far too strong for people with consistent hormonal acne and scarring, but I can see why those with minor breakouts now and then would enjoy this product." As this reviewer notes, anyone dealing with consistent acne may find it helpful to consult with a dermatologist. Persistent breakouts may need more than topical help, so it's always worth speaking to a professional if you're concerned. Besides that, another great MALIN+GOETZ review reads: "Though it has a bit of a strong smell, it is a staple for me now. It helps with spots, but I also sometimes use it on wider areas when I feel extra oily and like I am breaking out a lot more. It can be a bit annoying as it can flake off, but I don't mind as it does work."

Faye Winter tells of ‘terrifying' weeks before Love Island due to botched Botox
Faye Winter tells of 'terrifying' weeks before Love Island due to botched Botox It comes as ministers announce plans to cut down on "cowboy" cosmetic procedures by introducing new restrictions on who can access and provide treatments. Reality star Faye Winter appeared on Good Morning Britain to discuss her cosmetic surgery bad experience (Image: ITV) Reality TV star Faye Winter has said it was "pretty terrifying" to be subject to botched Botox treatment in the weeks leading up to her stint on Love Island. It comes as ministers announce plans to cut down on "cowboy" cosmetic procedures by introducing new restrictions on who can access and provide treatments. Winter, 30, who appeared on the ITV dating show in 2021, said the Government is taking "a massive step in the right direction" and added that the NHS should not be covering the cost of corrective treatment for botched surgeries. Speaking about the weeks leading up to her Love Island appearance, she told ITV's Good Morning Britain (GMB): "It was pretty terrifying. I wanted to look a certain way. I wanted to look the best version of myself, knowing that I was going on national television. "I went to somebody to do my Botox that I hadn't been to before, and he told me that he was medically trained. I believed him, as so many of us do. "I later found out that he was a property developer, and he had put too much Botox into my forehead, meaning my full forehead just had nothing in it. I couldn't move it and it was fully relaxed. "It was paralysed, and I literally had to wait it out, not knowing if it (the feeling) was or wasn't going to come back." Winter explained that her forehead "had relaxed" and that her eyelids and eyebrows had "drooped". The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has said that steps will be taken to protect people from "rogue operators" with no medical training who often provide "invasive" procedures in homes, hotels and pop-up clinics. The DHSC also said the move to introduce new restrictions will reduce the cost imposed on the NHS to fix botched procedures. Winter added: "I think obviously it's a massive step in the right direction. This is only for four years I've been speaking about (it). "So for the Government to even acknowledge it is amazing. But there's also parts of it that I do think, where they say, you know licences... what are they going to look like? "Does somebody just need a passport number at a UK address and they still get a licence? We don't know what that quite looks like yet, and I think it's really important that we know those finer details." Speaking on whether the NHS should pay for corrective treatments, she said: "I don't think that we as taxpayers should be paying for that. I never asked anybody to pay for my correction work, and that was on me, and I had to learn the hard way." Winter was on series seven of the ITV dating show Love Island and was seen coupling up with Teddy Soares. Article continues below Before the proposed regulations come into force, the Government has urged people seeking cosmetic procedures to ask for the provider's qualifications and insurance, and to be wary of "suspiciously cheap" offers. It comes after health officials launched an investigation after a number of people had reactions to Botox injections earlier this year.
