Eric Bailly handed career lifeline by two surprise Italian clubs
Former Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is wanted by two Italian clubs. Difficult career after United The Ivorian has had his difficulties since leaving England. He struggled whilst in Turkey for Besiktas after leaving United and had his contract cancelled after only a matter of months at the club. Bailly then signed for his former club Villarreal but failed to make much of an impact. The Ivory Coast international was then released from the Spanish side earlier this summer. Saudi move fell through The 31-year-old centre back looked like he would be on his way to Saudi Arabia to play for Al Najmah SC. Nonetheless, this deal never came to pass as Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that the move broke down due to Bailly deciding to walk away from negotiations. Italian interest Italian website Calciomercato have reported that there are a couple of teams in Italy who hold an interest in the centre back. They claim that Serie A could be in Bailly's future very soon. The website states that 'the player's team has offered him a Serie A deal with Cagliari and Cremonese: both the Sardinian and Lombard clubs are interested in him.' Salary Obstacle Nonetheless, a deal will not be plain sailing for the free agent. The site reports that 'the biggest obstacle at the moment is a salary request of at least €1 million.' A move to Italy would add to 'an impressive CV', after spells in Spain, England, France and Turkey. Bailly will hope wherever he lands, he can put together some significant time on the pitch. He has not been able to play more than 25 games in a season since his debut campaign with Man United back in 2016/2017. Follow us on Bluesky: @

Inter keeping an eye on Morten Frendrup and Mandela Keita
Serie A giants Inter are keeping an eye on Genoa's Morten Frendrup and Parma star Mandela Keita. La Gazzetta dello Sport report today that the Nerazzurri are considering the sale of Piotr Zielinski. While getting a new club for him is difficult because of his age, contract and injury history across the previous season, Cristian Chivu wants a midfielder who is a ball-winner. As a result, Inter are keeping an eye on Frendrup. They have already inquired about the Dane when Inter spoke to Genoa about Valentin Carboni some weeks ago. Piero Ausilio has been monitoring him closely for a year now and the midfielder's current valuation is at €20 million. Keita's valuation at Parma is quite the same. Chivu likes the Belgian from his time at Parma and everything can now hinge on Inter's sales and how much they invest in Ademola Lookman. Balancing incomings and outgoings will help them sign another midfielder. Kaustubh Pandey I GIFN

Real Madrid Willing to Use Liverpool, PSG Target as Part of Blockbuster Offer for Man City Star
Rodrygo's future at Real Madrid appears uncertain following a shaky showing at the FIFA Club World Cup. Now that the transfer window is open, speculation about a possible move is starting to build. PSG's involvement in the Rodrygo situation remains unclear. According to Foot Mercato's Josué Cassé, the Brazilian forward is not currently a target for the French club, pushing back on a report from Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenberg, who noted that Tottenham Hotspur are also not pursuing him. Still, Plettenberg has maintained that Liverpool and PSG are keeping a close eye on Rodrygo. PSG have shown genuine interest and continue searching for a top young winger, though any move will likely depend on how the market develops in the coming weeks. Real Madrid want to use PSG, Liverpool target in a swap dealCaughtOffside reported Saturday that Real Madrid, according to sources, considered a bold offer to try and lure Manchester City into negotiations—one that included Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga, and €40 million. But Manchester City have no interest in letting go of one of their most important players. Under new sporting director Hugo Viana, the club is preparing a contract extension for Rodri that would keep him at the Etihad through the 2029–2030 season, aiming to secure his long-term future and fend off transfer interest. Recently, Diario AS reported that Real Madrid is ready to lower their initial asking price for Rodrygo to make a summer sale happen. They're now open to offers below €90 million.
