LUKE HUMPHRIES admits he had "wobble" as being honest on social media backfired.
The World No1 opened up earlier this month during the International Darts Open, saying he felt "emotionless" on stage due to tiredness and needed a break from the sport.

But Cold Hand then received a backlash from fans online and said the next day: "That's the last time I ever confess my real feelings to the public.
'Everything I say or ever do just never seems to be good enough for anybody.
"As long as no one complains when we all give the same answers in interviews like robots and not our true feelings."
Humphries has won the World Masters so far this year.

And he has been remarkably consistent in reaching six of the 12 Premier League nightly finals, winning two of them.
But in an interview with Sky Sports' Polly James and Stuart Pyke this week, he confessed it had been a tough moment to deal with.
He said: "It doesn't matter what line of work you are in, you can get tired.
"We are all the same. We all work hard, feel down and a bit tired.

'I went through a little wobble. That's what we do in life.
"Sometimes it's nice if some people are nice to you in that moment. It's hard to go through.

'Mentally I felt OK. I just felt a bit tired. I'm happy to be here and go again.
'Some times you say things that don't do you any favours.
"That's why it's best off not to say anything at all.
'I do understand that you do have to give a bit to the fans.

THE Premier League Darts is back with eight players vying for massive prize money and Luke Littler's crown.
The teenager, who went on to win the world title in December, won the Premier League in 2024 and will be looking to defend his crown over 18 thrilling weeks.

Manchester United are pushing to sign Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, who they want to lead the line next season for Ruben Amorim alongside £62.5million arrival Matheus Cunha Manchester United are beginning to gather momentum in the summer transfer window - and are wasting no time in trying to get deals done. The club knows the importance of their business this off-season, after a dreadful debut campaign for Ruben Amorim, and are determined to get it right this time. United finished 15th in the Premier League and will not play in the Champions League next season after losing the Europa League final against Tottenham. They are recruiting from a position of weakness, which makes their decisions even more important, amid the financial difficulties spelled out by Sir Jim Ratcliffe. The Red Devils have made a positive start to the window by agreeing a deal to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves. United will pay his full £62.5million release clause - and hope that his addition will encourage others to follow suit. In the meantime, they are negotiating the departures of some first-team players, knowing that offloading unwanted players will be just as important as recruiting new ones. Final Mbeumo bid sumitted Manchester United have made one last attempt to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. An initial bid of £55m, comprised of £45m up front and £10m in add-ons, was rejected by the Bees, so United have upped their offer. They have now offered £55m plus £5m in add-ons for the Cameroon international, who banged in 20 Premier League goals last season. The offer appears to match Brentford's stated £60m valuation for Mbeumo. It would appear the final stumbling block in the move, given that the 25-year-old forward is keen to move to Old Trafford and has already agreed personal terms of around £200,000-a-week over a five-year contract with an option for an extra year. Gyokeres drops transfer hint Viktor Gyokeres has been linked with a move to Manchester United, due to his relationship with his old Sporting boss Amorim, and he has now ruled out on summer transfer. When asked about moving back to Sweden, the 27-year-old striker told Swedish Vogue: 'After living in a warm country, it would be difficult." Gyokeres is understood to be available for £60m from Sporting this summer, but Arsenal are considered to be front-runners, because they can offer Champions League football. However, the Gunners are still considering RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, so Gyokeres' move to north London is far from certain. Hojlund's future on hold Inter Milan are waiting to get their new manager in place before deciding on a potential move for Rasmus Hojlund. Inter boss Simone Inzaghi left the Italian giants to join Al-Hilal after their defeat in the Champions League final and his replacement isn't through the door yet. Cristian Chivu is poised to leave Parma to take over from Inzaghi and he will be given a say over a potential move for Hojlund. Crystal Palace secured their spot in next season's Europa League after winning the FA Cup but their participation in the competition is in major doubt with UEFA set to make a decision Crystal Palace face a near MONTH LONG wait to discover their European fate. The Eagles secured their spot in the Europa League at the end of the season after beating Manchester City in the FA Cup final. They were set to go straight into the league stage of the competition but there are now doubts over whether the south Londoners can actually compete in the tournament. UEFA rules forbid individuals having control of more than club to be in the same competition at the same time to avoid conflicts of interest. Eagle Football - the group owned by John Textor - is a minority shareholder in Palace, while they are also a majority shareholder in French side Lyon. Both clubs have secured qualification for the Europa League. As it stands, Lyon get priority over the Premier League side due to their superior league finish last term. Palace chiefs have attempted to win UEFA over by flying to their headquarters in Switzerland for talks. But it appears that Palace will have to sweat for a while over their prospects of playing Europe next season. That's according to the BBC, who say a decision from UEFA is not expected until at least the end of the month. The news will be a huge blow to Palace's hopes of planning for next season. Boss Oliver Glasner has already admitted that a place in Europe could affect their transfer ambitions. Speaking earlier this year, he said: 'From a financial perspective, Crystal Palace will never be a top-four club in England. Not with all the other big clubs here and that's not necessary because not everybody can be a top-four club. It's just not possible. 'This club got promoted in 2013. Since then, it has always progressed. Not huge steps. You can be a one-hit wonder and then you're gone. We said: our planning shouldn't be, 'Now we play in Europe, so let's do crazy things', and then everything collapses. We follow a pathway. 'This pathway didn't start with Oliver Glasner. It started with the new owners in 2010. Very stable, mid-table, always between 10 and 15. And this is where we are again. 'Now, it's step by step. Winning this trophy, playing internationally, getting this experience, and maybe getting some players we couldn't by playing European football. This can help us take the next step.' Palace have already seen one of their Premier League rivals take action regarding their European hopes. Nottingham Forest also saw a potential spot in the Champions League in jeopardy due to Evangelos Marinakis' ownership of Greek giants Olympiacos. He diluted his control of the East Midlands club by placing his shares in a blind trust. But Textor is unlikely to follow that example because he and Eagle Football do not have decisive influence over the Croydon outfit.
