
Dubai Youth Forum to open on January 28 at Mohammed Bin Rashid Library
Bringing together senior officials, experts, and young talents from diverse sectors, the Dubai Youth Council will host the Dubai Youth Forum on Tuesday, 28th January 2025.
Organised under the patronage of The Executive Council of Dubai, the forum aims to amplify youth engagement in shaping Dubai's future while advancing its ambitious strategic plans.
Hosted at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, the forum serves as a strategic platform to empower young people and enhance their contributions to Dubai's vision for the future.
The event will also feature the launch of diverse programmes designed to support and inspire the emirate's youth, with strategic partners unveiling innovative initiatives to strengthen youth capabilities across key sectors.
Hassan Sabt, Chairman of the Dubai Youth Council, highlighted the significance of the event, saying, 'The Dubai Youth Forum is a vital platform to empower young people and foster their collaboration with decision-makers across public and private sectors. Our goal is to help them achieve their true potential and prepare them to lead in diverse fields.'

A US-based company will be providing the payload delivery services… His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has announced the launch of the Rashid Rover 2, the UAE's second mission to the Moon's surface. The mission will be executed in partnership with a US-based company, Firefly Aerospace, who will provide the payload delivery services to carry out the mission as part of the Emirates Lunar Mission scheduled for 2026. With this mission, the UAE will hit a major milestone, being only the second country in the world to attempt a landing on the far side of the moon. A strategic agreement has been put in place between the two entities, and the Rashid 2 Rover will be deployed to the far side of the Moon on Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost lander stacked on the Elytra Dark orbital vehicle, on behalf of the UAE. Sheikh Hamdan made the announcement in a post on his social media channel, expressing how the UAE continues to make waves in the field of space exploration and is cementing itself as a global contender in the space race. He wrote: 'I witnessed the signing of a strategic agreement between MBRSC and US-based Firefly Aerospace to provide the payload delivery services for the Rashid 2 Rover, as part of the Emirates Lunar Mission scheduled for 2026. Sheikh Hamdan launches 'Dubai PropTech Hub' to make Dubai real estate global leader
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Future Technology and Digital Economy, chaired a meeting of the Committee and issued directives to launch The Dubai PropTech Hub. The move seeks to fast-track the expansion of the PropTech market in the emirate, aiming to more than double its value to surpass Dhs 4.5 billion over the next five years. It also reinforces Dubai's position as a global leader in real estate innovation, in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033. During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan reviewed the committee's business report, which detailed the results of past projects, evaluated the progress of ongoing initiatives, and examined new proposals aimed at fostering innovation and accelerating the growth of digital enterprises within a supportive and integrated economic environment. Sheikh Hamdan said that Dubai, guided by the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has become a leading global hub for high-value investments and top talent, with the real estate sector being no exception. The Dubai PropTech Hub aims to drive rapid growth in the property technology sector by adopting cutting-edge digital solutions, aligned with the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033 and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which seek to double Dubai's economy and rank it among the world's top three cities within a decade. Dubai's PropTech market was valued at around Dhs2.2 billion in 2023, and the Hub aims to attract over Dhs1 billion investments by 2030, supporting more than 200 PropTech companies, and drawing 20 investment funds. The Hub offers a comprehensive ecosystem for startups, featuring advanced incubators, interactive workspaces, and smart outdoor areas that foster collaboration and innovation, alongside state-of-the-art infrastructure for developing and testing AI-driven business models. Hamdan bin Mohammed witnesses signing of an agreement to implement affordable housing projects in Dubai
20 May 2025 14:50 DUBAI (ALETIHAD)His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, witnessed the signing of an agreement to implement a series of affordable housing projects in the emirate. The agreement was signed between the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Municipality, and Wasl Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Urban Planning, signed the agreement on behalf of the RTA. His Excellency Marwan bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Municipality, signed on behalf of the Municipality, while His Excellency Hesham Abdulla Al Qassim, Chief Executive Officer of Wasl Group, signed on behalf of Dubai Real Estate Corporation (DREC).The agreement follows a directive from The Executive Council of Dubai to allocate land for affordable housing projects, in line with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the objectives of the Affordable Housing policy aims to develop vibrant, healthy communities; support urban centres that drive key economic sectors; diversify employment opportunities; and address the housing and service needs of residents across income levels. It also seeks to provide diverse, high-quality housing options that meet approved standards, ensure connectivity to the city centre, offer access to essential services, and align with the '20-Minute City' first phase of the housing projects covers six areas across Muhaisnah 1, Al Twar 1, Al Qusais Industrial Area 5, and Al Leyan 1, with a combined area of approximately 1.46 million square metres. The development will deliver more than 17,000 residential units, catering to skilled professionals of various nationalities working in strategic positions in both public and private sectors.
