Egyptian actress May Elghety to star in upcoming Hollywood film ‘The Mummy'
The Mummy is directed by Lee Cronin, and the latest installment in the titular franchise.
Cronin confirmed that this film will be radically different from previous mummy films, delving deep into history to extract something truly ancient and frightening.
Cronin added that Elghety was the perfect fit for the role, noting that he had been searching for her for six months, during the preparation period for the film, which will be shot between Ireland and Spain.
Elghety's first British film, 'Due Dating' (2025), recently premiered in London. She plays Persia, the ex-girlfriend of the film's protagonist, Cole (played by Rowland Stirling), who drives him crazy after she meets someone else.
This romantic comedy was directed by Daniel Pacquette, and stars Alex Crockford and Jourdan Amelia Storey. It premiered in London and will be released worldwide later.
Last Ramadan, Elghety made a guest appearance in the series 'El Captain,' further cementing her strong artistic presence.

Other notable credits include the lead in the first American-Saudi feature, The Arabian Warrior. In 2023, El-Masry appeared in two films: Club Zero by Jessica Hausner and Camera by Khalid Naqqash, establishing his strong presence in international cinema and television. Mohamed Mounir Drops Single "Ana Allazy"
Yara Sameh 'The King' Mohamed Mounir has dropped his new song "Ana Allazy" on YouTube and music digital platforms. Written by Bassem Adel and composed by Essam Karika, the track marks the third song to arrive from Mounir's upcoming album. The LP consists of 10 songs and is produced by Rotana. He previously offered his fans the first taste of the record with the release of "Malamehna," followed by "El zoua El Aaly," featuring Tamer Hosny. It features Mounir cooperating with a large number of poets and composers, including Hala El Zayat, Menna El Kiey, Tamer Hussein, Aziz El-Shafei, Ehab Abd Elwahed, and the late Mohamed Rahim. Amr Diab Releases New Music Video for "Khatfoony" Ft. Daughter Jana
Yara Sameh "El Hadaba' Amr Diab released Wednesday the visual for his duet song "Khatfoony," on YouTube. The visual was filmed in the North Coast by director Tarek Alarian and features the acclaimed singer's daughter Jana and Bader. It is by the lyrics of Tamer Hussein and Jana Diab, and composed by Amr Mostafa. "Khatfoony" is featured on Diab's newly released album "Ebtadena, which consists of 15 songs, including a duet with his son Abdallah. In the new album, the acclaimed singer also collaborated with a large number of poets and composers, including Amr Mostafa, Bahaa El Din Mohamed, Ayman Bahgat Kamar, Tamer Hussein, and Aziz Al-Shafi'i. Born on October 11, 1961, Diab is a multi-award-winning pop singer-songwriter. He created his own style which is often termed 'Mediterranean Music', a blend of Western and Egyptian rhythms, by 1992, he became the first Arabic artist to start making high-tech music videos. He is a Guinness World Record holder, the best-selling Middle Eastern artist, a seven-time winner of World Music Awards, and a five-time winner of Platinum Records. Diab's fame in the entertainment industry has led him to experiment with other forms of media, such as film-making. The acclaimed singer co-starred in four films, 'Al Sagenatan', 'El Afareet', 'Ice Cream in Gleam', and 'Dehk Wa Le'b Wa Gad Wa Hob'. In 1988, he made his acting debut in the film 'Al Sagenatan' starring prominent actresses Elham Shahin and Samah Anwar. Despite the films' success, Diab did not experience the same success in acting as he had with his music. He has focused on his singing career since 1993. In 2020, the iconic singer signed on to make an acting comeback in an original Arabic series for Netflix.
