Barenaked Ladies, Justin Moore added to Ledge Amphitheater summer schedule
The outdoor concert space in Waite Park has added a pair of shows to its ever-growing summer lineup. The Barenaked Ladies will bring the Last Summer on Earth tour to Minnesota on June 15.
Less than a week later, country music star Justin Moore will arrive for a June 19 concert with Joe Nichols opening.
The multi-platinum '90s hitmakers, Barenaked Ladies, announced a 38-date summer tour on Tuesday, which will bring them to Waite Park. They'll be joined by Fastball and Guster, the latter of which headlined a show at the State Theatre in downtown Minneapolis earlier this month.
The Canadian group, most famous for their hit "One Week," is partnering with Reverb for the tour to make the tour more sustainable through the company's programs that include CO2 offsets, catering sourced from local farms, composting programs, and water-filling stations.
Moore's stop in Minnesota is one of seven dates announced this week. The "Bait a Hook" singer will play 90-minute sets on the tour that will include his chart-topping hits and tracks from the new record This Is My Dirt, an album that features appearances from Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, and Randy Houser.
Both concerts will go on sale to the public on Friday, Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. A fan presale through the Barenaked Ladies' Barenaked Bytes membership app will take place on Feb. 11 at 10 a.m. Non-members can access a presale through the app on Feb. 12 at 10 a.m.
An artist presale for Moore's concert will take place on Feb. 12 at 10 a.m., and a local presale will take place the following day at the same time.
The Ledge Amphitheater's summer lineup now includes concerts with Bonnie Raitt, Alison Krauss and Union Station, ZZ Top, Chicago, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and Slightly Stoopid, among others.

I've been to bachelorette parties in spots from Hawaii to Las Vegas, but a Canadian city has been the best destination so far
I've been invited to more bachelorette parties than I can count. They've all been a lot of fun and have given me an excuse to visit fabulous destinations around the world. I've been to Cabo, Napa, Puerto Rico, Palm Springs, India, Hawaii, Las Vegas, and more to celebrate dear friends who were getting married. I'm typically excited whenever a new invitation comes in, but when I found out one of my friends was having her bachelorette in Toronto, I was a little disappointed. I didn't think it would be an exciting destination for a girls' trip. However, to my pleasant surprise, I was wrong. The Canadian city completely blew me away. Toronto is vibrant and brimming with personality, art, and culture To match the city's creative energy, local artists' works were displayed throughout the hotel. The lobby even had giant dandelion sculptures hanging from the ceilings. The hotel was also located within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and cafés. I was blown away by the food offerings in Toronto. Some of my favorite meals were the French fare at Café Boulud, al dente pasta and traditional Italian pizza at Spaccio West Terroni, Latin-inspired cuisine at Baro, and Michelin-starred dining at Alobar Yorkville. The activities in the city felt diverse and fun Although lovely accommodations and great food are already pluses, the diverse activities available around Toronto really exceeded my expectations. For daredevils, CN Tower's EdgeWalk is a must. There's nothing quite like walking around an outdoor platform that's 116 stories above the city. It's an epic view, a great bonding experience, and a one-of-a-kind photo op. If you're traveling with adventurous wine enthusiasts, I recommend the helicopter tour with Niagara Helicopters Limited, which flies over Niagara Falls and ends at a winery. We also enjoyed a segway tour of the Distillery District, which was bustling with boutiques, cafés, breweries, and eateries. For a more low-key afternoon, Toronto also has several noteworthy museums, but I can only speak to the unique experience at the Bata Shoe Museum. It houses antique shoes from regions around the world, imaginative futuristic kicks, and unique artist exhibitions. My absolute favorite part of the trip was renting dresses at The Fitzroy for a night at the opera. The Fitzroy sectioned off an area of the store and provided us with bubbly and sweet treats during the dress fittings. I never expected a Canadian city to become my favorite bachelorette destination I'll fully admit that I was wrong about Toronto. It ended up being an incredible destination for a bachelorette party — and would probably be great for any old girls' trip, too. I had experiences that would be considered out of the ordinary on any trip, like helicopter tours and a night at the opera. Plus, every meal was uniquely delicious. The diverse activities, luxe accommodations, and memorable meals made Toronto my favorite bachelorette-party destination to date.

Kaytranada announced on Monday (Aug. 11) that he'll be dropping his new album, Ain't No Damn Way, on Friday, Aug. 15. 'Oh lord, not a new album called AIN'T NO DAMN WAY! – coming out this Friday???' he wrote on Instagram while sharing an image of himself being embraced by a squiggly, winking faced character. Say what you want about Katy Perry, her Lifetimes tour is great
PHILADELPHIA – If you've been online lately, you've seen the criticism. Katy Perry is a spoiled brat. She is too thin and can't dance. Katy Perry brought a setlist to space and her '143' album is a flop. Can we maybe enlist the "Leave Britney alone!" guy at this point and swap in Perry's name? Seriously, why all the hate? What has Perry done to provoke so much agitation and scorn? So her 'Woman's World' video didn't land with the irony she intended. So she had dinner with the former Canadian prime minister following her breakup with Orlando Bloom. So she toes the line between bold and bizarre. If Perry were the monster so many internet trolls profess her to be, she probably wouldn't be selling out arenas – such as Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia Aug. 9 – on her Lifetimes Tour. And guess what? It's a fun, vibrant show filled with flying apparatus, dancers, oversized flowers, sleek video panels, an AI Perry and plenty of her goofy charm that borders on silly. Are those legit reasons for character assassination? Perry has been loping around the world on this tour for four months. Her Philadelphia stop was the 33rd city on the Lifetimes Tour, with 39 to go before wrapping in Abu Dhabi at the end of the year. It's her first tour since 2018, but it's not as if she's been sitting around flicking petals off daisies in the meantime. Perry bopped through 80 shows in a nearly two-year residency in Las Vegas that ended in 2022. That production, appropriately dubbed Play, featured a rocking horse, dancing tubes of toothpaste and a mammoth toilet bowl. So now she's getting dogged for having a lightsaber duel and hanging upside down inside a metal sphere while singing 'I Kissed a Girl'? Perry's tour hasn't been without its own obstacles. She has sung, smiled and hit her marks on stage while her insides were likely crumbling from her split with Bloom, her fiance of six years and father of her daughter, Daisy. In San Francisco, the butterfly she rides above the crowd during 'Roar' took an unexpected and scary dip with Perry in tow. Call her whatever you want, but the 'show must go on' ethos is strong in this one. Perry has never been a powerhouse singer like Lady Gaga or Kelly Clarkson, nor does she possess seemingly effortless dance moves like Beyoncé. But she's a strong vocalist with a knack for writing anthems that reinforce emotional fortitude. 'Roar' and 'Firework,' yes. But also 'Wide Awake,' coated with a pulsing rhythm from her four-piece band and 'Teary Eyes,' from 2020's 'Smile' album. 'Don't be afraid of your tears – they're trying to heal you!' she yelled after the song, her message amplified by her metal-plated outfit. Perry is also fearless. She floats above the stage – which boasts winding catwalks in the shape of an infinity symbol – during 'Nirvana,' weaves with her dance troupe on metal jungle gyms throughout 'Teenage Dream' and starts the show being pulled upward in the center of a space age platform for 'Artificial.' But along with the sensory assault, Perry's willingness to expose her emotions and her self-deprication are her superpowers. 'I'm going to get vulnerable and sing about my first divorce,' she said before 'Not Like the Movies.' After reminding the crowd that since her last tour she became a mother, Perry quipped, 'Those (out there) 8-years-old and younger ... I am not Dua Lipa. I am Dua Lipa's aunt, Katy Perry.' Curiously, Perry's fan base is predominately tween, the same demographic that flocked to her shows donning kitty ears 20 years ago. Midway through her two-hour concert Saturday, Perry continued her bit of calling a few fans on stage to add some percussion to 'The One That Got Away.' Two of her choices were preteen girls clearly enthralled to be in her warm presence. Exuding big sister vibes, Perry asked about their backgrounds and their career goals, even doing splits on stage next to one, an aspiring gymnast. She doesn't have to engage at this level, her Disney princess eyes wide as she listened to these kids. Nor does she have to grab a fan's phone during the fizzy two-fer of 'Hot N Cold' and 'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)' and scamper around the stage to take priceless video for them. But she does it because, even at 40, she's connecting with fans of all different backgrounds. Is it arrested development? Perhaps. Or maybe she's just a girl who wants to have fun.
