Canada's Hotels Hit Highest Occupancy Levels Since 2019
The DJIA fell 153 points while the Nasdaq was down 73, the S&P 500 was down 26 points, and the 10-year treasury yield was up .03 to 4.33%. Lodging stocks were modestly lower. Canada's hotel industry reported its highest occupancy level since August 2019, according to July 2025 data from CoStar. July 2025 (percentage change from 2024): Occupancy: 77.6% (+3.0%), ADR: CAD 248.50 (+5.3%), and RevPAR: CAD 192.75 (+8.5%). Among the provinces and territories, Manitoba posted the highest increases in each of the three key performance metrics: occupancy (+14.8% to 80.9%), ADR (+14.5% to CAD 180.01), and RevPAR (+31.5% to CAD 145.71). Quebec was the only province to show a decline in occupancy (-1.2% to 75.7%). All of the provinces/territories saw an increase in ADR and RevPAR.
