Red Arrows routes and timings as due to fly over North Wales twice this week

The Red Arrows are set to fly over North Wales across two days this week. The world famous display team will be in the skies above the country on Friday August 8 and again on Saturday August 9.
The Red Arrows are flying from their base at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire to RAF Valley on Friday, August 8. They will take part in the RAF Valley Families Day.
The event is for families of RAF Valley personnel and is not a public airshow but will still provide a visual treat for those in the vicinity of the base as the team take to the skies.
It will also mean they transit across North Wales on the Friday on their way to the base. They leave RAF Waddingham at 12.30pm on Friday according to www.military-airshows.co.uk.
The team are scheduled to reach North Wales shortly after 12.40pm, coming over just north of Wrexham, with them currently due to be above Graigfechan, Denbighshire, at 12.47pm.
They continue westward - heading over the A470 between Llanrwst and Betws-y-Coed reaching Capel Curig by 12.51pm. They then turn to fly north west up the Ogwen Valley with the potential of some incredible photographic opportunities as they head over Eryri. Timings could change depending on the weather.
They then fly over Bangor before crossing the Menai Strait and flying just west of the A55 up to RAF Valley - where they are scheduled to arrive at 12.55pm.
They are then set to take off from RAF Valley at 3.25pm on the same day - performing over the sea off the west coast of Anglesey until around 3.50pm.
The team will then fly across Anglesey as they head up to Blackpool for their airshow on Saturday.
But the good news is that they will return as part of their flying routines that day.
On Saturday August 9 the Red Arrows will leave Blackpool airport at 1.38pm and head south and then west across the Irish Sea.
The team are due to divert south and in the direction of Llandudno - coming over the town at 1.47pm.
They then turn east and will follow the coast past Colwyn Bay and Llandudno before turning north east and flying just north of the Flintshire coastline before flying over parts of North West England and returning to Blackpool for their aerial display.
