And he somehow managed to rile Red Devils' supporters during the sell-out charity match even more than he did two decades ago
The Argentine, 41, came off the bench to hit FOUR goals as the World XI roared back from 3-0 down to snatch a late 5-4 win.
Some United fans were already angry - as they reckoned he should not have been allowed to return on the field at Old Trafford.
And they were even more annoyed when Tevez's dazzling display was accompanied by a surprising choice of tune over the tannoy system.

"You'll Never Walk Alone" - the signature tune of big rivals Liverpool - boomed around the ground.
Tevez was, notoriously, a United player from 2007-09.
But to many fans he soured his stay beyond redemption with a go-or-stay saga - ending when his advisors revealed he no longer wanted to play for Alex Ferguson's team.
Instead he joined fast-rising neighbours Manchester City - for a successful four-year stint.

And although he's long gone from Old Trafford he's not forgotten by fuming fans of United.
However, he walked the walk - and almost did it alone - as he led the World XI's recovery, before Big Zuu 'rapped' up victory with a 20-yard drill.

Admittedly, -drilled' might be a slight exaggeration - as BZ's 20-yard near-post shot should never have beaten England keeper Paddy McGuinness.
But the TV presenter made a mess of it - after inexplicably trying to save it with his legs and ending up in a tangle.
And if McGuinness was honest he should at that stage have pleaded "Take Me Out" - of goal.
However, although it was too late for England, it wasn't too late for United supporters to vent their ire over Tevez - and Liverpool's tune.
One wrote: "Soccer Aid has absolutely rattled me here. Who let Carlos Tevez in the building and who the f*** agreed to play that over the tannoy."
Plenty of fans made the point after the frontman was only halfway through his quadruple haul.
One posted: "Playing you'll never walk alone at old Trafford and Carlos Tevez brace… Jesus" - followed by a laughing emoji.
Another simply stated: "Watched Soccer Aid for 6 minutes and seen Carlos Tevez score a double and you'll never walk alone being played at Old Trafford."
Another joked: "Tevez getting hat-trick and YNWA being played in the stadium, don't think soccer aid will be getting played at Old Trafford anymore."
Others even asked why he was allowed to play there at all.
And one extended that suggestion by writing on X: "Shouldn't be allowed to play you'll never walk alone at Old Trafford even for Soccer Aid."

Martinez is expected to leave Villa this summer and it is claimed that he would prefer to join United, having also been linked with Galatasaray and teams in the Saudi Pro League. The World Cup winner could replace Andre Onana as United's first-choice goalkeeper. Onana has made a series of errors since joining the club and has recently spoken out about rumours surrounding his future. Speaking at an event in Burkina Faso, Onana told Afrik-Foot: "Will I leave? I don't know, we'll see!" Osimhen talks opened Victor Osimhen looks set to leave Napoli this summer and Footmercato are reporting that United have resumed talks with the striker after he turned down a move to Al-Hilal. The report states that Galatasaray remain hopeful that they can convince Osimhen to join permanently after he scored 37 goals in 41 games during a loan spell last season, but United could now hijack the move. Amorim is keen to add more firepower to his squad after Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee disappointed last season, with the pair managing just 17 goals in a combined 105 appearances across all competitions. Leverkusen eye Man Utd target United have been linked with a move for Manchester City youngster James McAtee, but Bayer Leverkusen have now emerged as a potential destination for the midfielder. Sam Thompson joins final minutes of Soccer Aid charity match as England player
The Made In Chelsea star had said he could not play for the England team after being injured while completing the Match Ball Mission running and cycling challenge, which raised more than £2 million for Unicef. But Thompson made it on for the last few minutes of the charity match, broadcast live on ITV, which also saw Hollywood's Julia Roberts chatting to Wayne Rooney and Dermot O'Leary apologising to viewers for a Tyson Fury 'f-bomb'. The match at Old Trafford, which sees an England team of former professionals and celebrities take on Soccer Aid World XI FC, raised more than £15 million for the aid organisation. The I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! winner injured his calf during his challenge where he transported the Soccer Aid match ball from last year's stadium, Chelsea's Stamford Bridge, to Old Trafford. On Friday, he announced that he would no longer be able to play and instead join the management team alongside Fury, however minutes before the final whistle, Thompson joined the Old Trafford pitch as a player. Before Sunday's match, O'Leary 'profusely' apologised to ITV viewers after the heavyweight champion swore live on air while giving the England team a pre-match talk in the locker rooms. He said: 'Let them know how good we are. We are England. We are f****** Spartans. We are Spartans.' Presenters Alex Scott and O'Leary apologised afterwards, with Scott saying: 'What can I say about Tyson Fury? We do apologise for the swearing, but it is Tyson Fury, we don't know what's going to happen.' O'Leary added: 'We do profusely apologise.' The game ended with a 5-4 win for the Soccer Aid World XI team, with the final goal being scored by rapper and TV chef Big Zuu. Among his teammates who joined him to celebrate was former Argentina and Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez, who scored four goals for the World XI. Prior to lifting the trophy in the air, singer Robbie Williams – who co-founded the charity game in 2006 – announced this year's had raised £15,280,163. Pretty Woman-star Roberts, who has described herself as a 'true fan' of Manchester United, was seen taking photographs at Old Trafford, smiling next to the former England striker Rooney, who, minutes into the game, scored the first goal for England. Among the England team line-up alongside Rooney were former One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson and Olympic gold-medallist Sir Mo Farah. Last Of Us star Bella Ramsey also joined this year's England team along with comedian Paddy McGuinness, former Manchester United player Gary Neville and singer Tom Grennan. Last year, the match ended with a 6-3 win for England, with the Three Lions taking home the win for the first time in six years. Since the fundraising match was first founded nearly two decades ago, it has raised more than £106 million.
