Egypt's auto sales climb 4.3% MoM in February
The uptick comes after a sharp 22% MoM drop in January, which interrupted a four-month rally that began in October following a summer slowdown.
Passenger cars led the monthly growth, with sales increasing 7.1% to 8,100 units.
Meanwhile, bus sales fell for the second straight month, down 11.7% to 616 units. Truck sales slipped 1.2% MoM to 1,800 units.
February auto sales also jumped 42.8% year on year (YoY), with all three segments posting gains.
Passenger car sales rose 39.2% YoY, bus sales increased 18.7% YoY, and truck sales surged 75.5% YoY.

Egypt: EGX closes Tuesday's session in red zone
Arab Finance: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday's trading session in the red zone, with the EGX30 index declining by 0.46% to 32,703.92 points. Likewise, the Sharia-compliant index, EGX33 Shariah index, fell by 1.02% to 3,401.44 points. Egypt's auto sales leap by 128% YoY in May
Automotive sales in Egypt hiked by 128% year-on-year (YoY) during May 2025, reaching 14,300 units, according to the Automotive Marketing Information Council (Amic). The Amic report highlighted that the total auto sales surged by 94.8% YoY in the first five months of 2025, recording 58,100 units. Meanwhile, passenger car sales jumped 98% YoY to 45,100 units. Egypt: Gold prices collectively drop on Wednesday
Arab Finance: The gold prices in Egypt declined on Wednesday, with the 24-karat hitting EGP 5,337.25 per gram for buying and EGP 5,365.75 for selling during the mid-session, according to iSagha's data. The 22-karat gold price also retreated to EGP 4,892.5 for buying and EGP 4,918.5 per gram for selling. Meanwhile, the 21-karat gold dropped to EGP 4,670 per gram for purchasing and EGP 4,695 for selling. The 18-karat gold price registered EGP 4,002.75 per gram for buying and EGP 4,024.25 for selling.
