A BRITISH tourist has drowned in his hotel pool in Majorca.
The 52-year-old man was found face down in the water by paramedics who rushed to the hotel after receiving an urgent alert.

The alarm was raised just after 8.30am this morning in S'llot - a small tourist town on the south east coast of the Balearic Island.
Emergency medical organisation SAMU said: 'A British man aged 52 has been found floating face down in the swimming pool of a hotel in S'Illot.
'He was pulled out of the water and basic resuscitation manoeuvres were practiced on him until the first ambulances arrived when it was confirmed he had gone into cardiac arrest.
'Despite attempts to resuscitate him he died. The alarm was raised at 8.37am this morning."
An air ambulance was quickly mobilised as well as a life-support ambulance.
Cops are yet to make an official comment on the circumstances surrounding the Brit's death.
An investigation is underway with island police still at the scene.
The tragedy comes just days after a 75-year-old Brit died while swimming during a boat trip in Greece.
The man was dragged from the sea off the holiday hotspot of Kefalonia during the tourist trip.
Another pensioner died on his sun lounger in Agia Paraskevi, Skiathos by horrified beachgoers after he went for a swim.
A local doctor tried to revive the man for 40 minutes but was unable to do so.
In June, another Brit tourist died in Greece after he went swimming.
The 68-year-old holidaymaker was found dead after he lost consciousness in the water off the island of Rhodes, local media reported.

During her spree, Florence, a lifestyle and fashion influencer, unearthed a treasure trove of summer-ready shorts and tees, skirts, "the best" linen trousers, floral claw clips, among other gems. Florence was particularly struck by the extensive range of sizes on offer, noting: "The best thing about this Primark is they have actually got sizes of everything, like they are so stocked up." However, Florence described the shop as "carnage" during her visit, and with such an array of clothing on offer, it's no wonder the place was heaving! Social media users have since flocked to the comments section to express their views. One user exclaimed: "This is the world's best Primark." Another concurred: "It's a fantastic store." A third chimed in: "So nice." And a fourth shared their experience: "Yesss, I have been there. Fabulous." One commenter even offered a friendly caution, saying: "I was just there last week! You can easily get lost." Meanwhile, another lamented the state of some UK branches, questioning: "Why can't our UK Primarks be like this? Some in our cities are rubbish."

Each flight will depart from London Stansted at 7:50pm and arrive in Munich at around 10:30pm local time. Oktoberfest will officially kick off in the European city on September 20 and will then run until October 5 at Theresienwiese Park. Simon Gorrighan, London Stansted's aviation director, said: "We are delighted to welcome Lufthansa back to London Stansted to once again offer people from across our region an easy and convenient way to experience the world-famous Oktoberfest in Munich. A new study has outlined the rules of 'riding shotgun' for a car trip, with a number of key factors at play - including whether you're in view of the vehicle or not The battle for the front passenger seat – or 'riding shotgun' – is heating up as millions of Brits prepare for summer road trips. Now, new research has finally settled the age-old debate over who gets to call dibs on the coveted spot. The term 'riding shotgun' dates back to the Wild West, when an armed guard sat next to the stagecoach driver to fend off bandits. These days, it's all about bagging the best seat for the journey especially with four in ten adults planning road trips this summer and nobody wanting to be stuck in the dreaded middle seat. The survey of 2,000 adults has busted the myth that the driver's spouse always gets first pick. Instead, the rules are clear: unless someone has a physical need, it's simply a race to be the first to shout 'shotgun' – but only if you're within sight of the car. A third of parents have even clashed with their own kids, and four in ten admit they've refused to get in the car altogether if they didn't get their way. Tempcover has teamed up with JLS star JB Gill, who's hitting the road for the band's reunion tour, to launch the Official Rules of Shotgun. JB said: 'Calling shotgun before a car journey has sparked friendly competition over who gets to ride in the highly prized front seat for generations. "Ever since I first started driving, the front seat was always the one that every passenger wanted and as you can imagine, it's led to MANY heated debates. "Every driver has their own shotgun rules so having official rules in place means there's now a neutral way to make the decision and (hopefully) help the journey start smoothly from the off'. Three in ten have made up excuses to nab the front seat, with 'helping with directions' the most popular fib. Another 28 per cent have faked travel sickness to avoid being relegated to the back. Marc Pell, managing director at Tempcover, which offers temporary car insurance so people can borrow a bigger car and take turns behind the wheel, added: 'With summer here, more people are taking to the road with friends and family. 'We asked people to share their ultimate shotgun wisdom to keep the rules simple and the process fair - helping car journeys start with fewer disputes over who gets the coveted front passenger seat with its better view and extra legroom. 'And if you share the driving, you can all take it in turns to ride shotgun too.'
