Krakatoa Resources (ASX:KTA)
Krakatoa Resources is making moves toward its maiden drilling at the Zopkhito antimony-gold project in Georgia, which serves as a trading gateway between Europe and Asia.
With exploration and drilling preparations in full swing, the company, which has an exclusive option to acquire up to 80% of the project, also made a positive move on the ASX with shares as much as 70% higher to 1.7c with more than 76m changing hands before closing at 1.2c.
Local contractors have started heavy machinery access and camp repatriation work at Zopkhito following positive meetings with key stakeholders and this work will pave the way for exploration including multiple geophysical surveys and drilling.
Plans for the upcoming field season include testing the known high-grade antimony and gold veins, converting the foreign resource into a JORC classification and to test the extension of the mineralised system beyond the current limits.
The company plans to drill the key vein systems within the project, focused on targeting the areas where suitable drill access can be obtained, while allowing various veins to be investigated.
Two diamond drill rigs will be used to complete the drilling program, which is expected to start in early July.
The first rig will be a man-portable rig suitable for work on small platforms from surface with the second to be a rig designed for underground work that can drill at various azimuths and lower dips.
Krakatoa Resources' current drill plan comprises an initial 100 drill holes, located on 13 platforms for a total of 14,000 metres. This design, once complete, will encapsulate around 50% of the foreign mineral resource area.
However, it is envisaged that only 7000m will be achieved during the current drilling season, which is closer to 30-40% of the foreign mineral resource area.
Krakatoa's CEO Mark Major said, 'This is an exciting time for Krakatoa as we embark on the first ever drill program at Zopkhito.
'We have planned for a comprehensive drilling program, with the aim to verify and expand the existing foreign resource estimate, calculated from 27km of underground exploration drives and over 15,000 channel samples.
'This work, along with detailed geophysical surveys, will enable Krakatoa to complete a JORC standard mineral resource estimate for Zopkhito and undertake a preliminary economic assessment.'
Zopkhito has a non-JORC, foreign resource estimate of 225,000t at 11.6% antimony for a contained 26,000 tonnes and 7.1Mt at 3.7g/t gold for 815,119oz.
Multiple geophysical surveys will also be undertaken to assist with detecting extensions of the foreign resource estimate.
This will include a high-resolution drone magnetic survey over the project area which will assist with more effective subsurface drill targeting.
The company will also consider a sub-audio magnetics (SAM) survey, which could be highly beneficial in delineating structures and other geology that is detected by resistive anomalies in conductive terrains.
This work will begin once the camp is reestablished and road access is completed.
Zopkhito covers an area of ~1,779 hectares in the northern part of Racha region in Georgia, a country which borders Eastern Europe and Asia and has Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey and Armenia as neighbours.
Argent Minerals (ASX:ARD)
Confident of growing the precious and base metals potential of the 142.8Moz silver equivalent Kempfield project in the Lachlan Fold Belt in NSW, Argent Minerals has revealed three new zones of mineralisation. Shares climbed 11.54% higher to 2.9c before pulling back to 2.7c.
A VTEM survey has outlined the Western, Central and Eastern trends, which are extensive, distinct anomalies prospective for gold-silver-copper-lead-zinc mineralisation.
These trends represent a large new exploration target area with the Western Trend stretching 2.2km in a north-south direction, the Central trend 4.1km in a northeast-southwest orientation and the Eastern trend a further 2.2km in a northeast-southwest strike.
Both the Western and Eastern trends remain entirely untested by the drill bit while the Central trend has only been investigated with shallow reverse circulation drilling.
'A high-level interpretation of the VTEM data review conducted by Core Geophysics has identified multiple new drill targets, including several that were previously unknown to Argent," Argent Minerals managing director Pedro Kastellorizos said
'Significantly, three extensive EM trends have been delineated, two of which remain completely untested.
'These trends extend well beyond the current boundaries of the known Kempfield deposit, indicating strong potential for the discovery of additional mineralised zones both at depth and along strike.
'The results highlight the substantial exploration upside at the Kempfield Project, as we continue to expand the mineralised footprint well beyond the established deposit.'
Apart from revealing the new prospective trends across Kempfield, Argent's interpretation of the VTEM survey data also offered insights into the Kempfield northwest zone's geology.
Preliminary modelling of the data indicates the source of mineralisation in the NW Zone is likely at greater depths than previously thought.
The company also identified an elevated electromagnetic response along the western margin of the Kempfield deposit, which may point to a deeper footwall position relative to known mineralisation.
Kempfield has a resource estimate of 63.7Mt at 69.75g/t silver equivalent for 142.8Moz, containing 65.8Moz silver, 125,192oz gold, 207,402t lead and 420,373t zinc.
Eclipse Metals (ASX:EPM)
Eclipse Metals was up 26.7% to a daily high of 1.9c after completing an oversubscribed placement at market price for funds of $2m to advance the 89Mt Grønnedal rare earth project in Greenland. It later settled up 6.7% at 1.6c.
Firm commitments have been received for the placement conducted at no discount to the last traded price of 1.5c with the placement cornerstoned by an existing shareholder with a $500,000 commitment, reflecting continued confidence in Eclipse's long-term strategy and the potential of its Greenland assets.
The oversubscribed placement to institutional, professional and sophisticated investors was strongly supported and Eclipse scaled back applications.
Proceeds will advance work at the Ivigtût and Grønnedal projects and support the evaluation of historical drill core and definition of new drill targets as Eclipse seeks to enhance its strategic role in the global rare earth supply chain.
Specific use of the funds is:
Exploration and resource expansion drilling at the Grønnedal REE prospect
Environmental baseline and remediation planning at the historical Ivigtût pit
Assessment and mineralogical analysis of historical drill core to enhance geological understanding; and
General working capital and costs associated with the placement.
The placement follows the recent announcement of an 89Mt mineral resource estimate at the Grønnedal REE deposit in southwest Greenland.
Trigg Minerals (ASX:TMG)
As it steps up efforts to become a key domestic supplier of critical minerals in the US, Trigg Minerals has confirmed multiple zones of massive stibnite mineralisation at the Antimony Canyon Project in Utah.
Initial field mapping confirmed several zones of massive stibnite at Emma and Mammoth deposits, further highlighting the project's potential as one of the highest grade and significant antimony projects in the US.
With more than 30 historical mines on-site in Utah, including the high-grade Nevada and Stebinite mines, Antimony Canyon shapes as one of the most promising undeveloped antimony assets in the US.
'We are pleased to commence this maiden phase of exploration at the Antimony Canyon Project,' Trigg Minerals managing director Andre Booyzen said.
'The confirmation of high-grade, massive stibnite zones at the Emma and Mammoth targets marks a significant milestone.
'It not only validates historical data but also strengthens our confidence in the project's potential to become a major domestic source of antimony.
'Our team is now focused on detailed mapping and systematic sampling to better define the extent and grade of mineralisation.
'We remain committed to advancing Antimony Canyon in support of the growing global demand for critical minerals essential to national security and the energy transition.'
TMG was initially up 12.9% on the previous close to 10.5c before easing lower to 8.1c with more than 70m changing hands.
Cazaly Resources (ASX:CAZ)
Another making a strong start to trading was Cazaly Resources, which was up as much as 37.5% to 2.2c before closing slightly higher at 1.6c after being granted approvals for drilling at the Goongarrie gold project north of Kalgoorlie.
First target will be the Duke of York prospect after a heritage survey was completed and program of work approvals were received for reverse circulation (RC) and aircore drilling from the WA Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety.
Initial RC drilling, which will start after site preparation work, will follow-up anomalous drill intercepts including 8m at 10.7g/t gold, 13m at 3.5g/t, 3m at 6.3g/t and 4m at 2.7g/t.
Strike extents and plunge directions of gold mineralisation will also be tested at the Star of Goongarrie prospect.
Following the completion of RC drilling an initial phase of aircore drilling will be undertaken to assess the broader gold mineralised trend.
This drilling is designed to identify new gold prospects over five strike kilometres of the BTZ and includes poorly tested areas between Goongarrie Lady and Jenny's Reward gold mines, and the northern extension of the BTZ north of Jenny's Reward.

Resources Top 5: Coal player fuels rare gains as silver and gold stocks roll out the drill rigs
Australian Pacific Coal heads our list today for sustained daily gains Inaugural diamond drilling at the Elizabeth Hill project in Western Australia's Pilbara region struck shallow, high-grade silver An 8100m drill program is underway across the Tin Can trend at the Newman project of Peregrine Gold Your standout resources stocks for Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Australian Pacific Coal (ASX:AQC) Australian Pacific Coal is making progress after resuming underground mining at the Dartbrook Coal Mine in the Hunter Valley of NSW earlier this year following a restart program in 2024. Shares lifted 21.88% to a daily high of 7.8c and closed at 7.1c. On June 2 the company advised that it is well on the way to meeting the final two Conditions Subsequent (CS) of a senior secured finance facility with Vitol Asia Pte Ltd for Dartbrook. One remaining CS requires the project to rail 20,000 tonnes of produced coal in a consecutive 30-day period. The Dartbrook JV recently commenced a washed coal railing, with further railings continuing whilst the wash plant nears completion of its recommissioning. The JV has contracts in-place to rail the required tonnage and remains focused on commencing exports of its high-quality thermal coal product in the near future once more steady-state production is reached. There is about 150,000 tonnes of ROM coal stockpiled. The other CS outstanding relates to the registration of the Trepang Lease with the NSW Land Registry Service, which is under way. AQC said the outstanding matters were largely administrative and it had no reason to believe that they would not be satisfied in due course. Located about 10km northwest of Muswellbrook, Dartbrook has access to world-class infrastructure, a skilled workforce and support industries utilised by major mining companies in the region. Vitol has expressed its continued support and commitment towards the project, as evidenced by the recent increase in funding it made available to the project of US$4.2 million on May 30, 2025. West Coast Silver (ASX:WCE) Increasing safe haven investment demand along with growing demand for industrial uses, including solar panels, has seen silver break the back of long-term resistance at US$35/oz and currently trading at around US$36.40 (~A$55.86). These factors are leading to increasing supply deficits and seeing interest in silver producers, developers and explorers steadily improve. Among them are West Coast Silver which hit a new 12-month high of 10.5c in morning trading before closing lower at 8.9c after inaugural diamond drilling at its Elizabeth Hill project in Western Australia's Pilbara region struck shallow, high-grade silver. Notable preliminary results from the first two diamond holes include 2m at 6951g/t silver from a down-hole depth of 27m in the first hole, 25WCDD001, and 12m at 153g/t silver from the surface in the second hole, 25WWCDD002. Anomalous lead, zinc and copper values were also returned from these holes, which were selected to test the potential for shallow, high-grade mineralisation. While the results are based on portable XRF readings and assays are awaited, they indicate that the drill program has achieved its objectives. Should a significant silver resource be defined, West Coast Silver could have a clear line to production given that Elizabeth Hill is an historical mine that only needed low-cost gravity separation to recover native silver. Systematic core logging is underway to improve the company's understanding of Elizabeth Hill while regional soil samples have been sent to the laboratory for assessment before being used to help define the next steps. 'We are extremely pleased with this exceptional start to our maiden drill program,' executive chairman Bruce Garlick said. 'To intersect high-grade silver from surface in our first two holes is a tremendous result and validates our belief in the near-surface potential at Elizabeth Hill. 'The grades seen in 25WCDD001 are particularly encouraging and point to a strong future for the project.' Elizabeth Hill is one of Australia's high-grade silver projects and has a proven history with 1.2Moz of silver produced from just 16,830t of ore at a head grade of 2,194g/t. This was obtained during 12 months of production before the mining operation ceased in 2000 due to low silver prices of around US$5/oz. Encouragingly for WCE, the previous operations had a simplistic processing technique with native silver recovered via low-cost gravity separation. Untapped potential remains in the ground with the deposit open at depth while a recent consolidation of the land package offers potential to discover more Elizabeth Hill style deposits. Through the consolidation of the surrounding land packages into a single contiguous 180km2 package, significant exploration and growth potential exists both near mine and regionally. This land package holds a significant portion of the Munni Munni fault system which is considered prospective for Elizabeth Hill look-a-like silver deposits. The project is on a mining lease in a Tier-1 mining jurisdiction and with a potential processing option at the nearby Radio Hill site. Peregrine Gold (ASX:PGD) Any Western Australian explorer with links to Mark Creasy attracts more attention than most others owing to the legendary prospector's high success rate. One such company is Peregrine Gold which has Creasy as its top backer while former Azure Minerals chairman Brian Thomas is also on board as non-executive chairman. Adding further to these credentials is technical director George Merhi, who has a history of success as exploration manager for the Creasy Group and Novo Resources, particularly in the Pilbara region. It is little wonder then that Peregrine was 14.29% higher at 16c after launching an 8100m drill program across the Tin Can trend at the Newman gold project in the Pilbara. After landing all necessary approvals, the aircore program is underway testing the extent of an open 1km-long gold and arsenic anomaly identified from geochemical sampling. This includes areas with 'subtle' chargeability anomalies identified through Induced Polarisation, which may indicate the presence of sulphide mineralisation. The 81-hole aircore program will average around 100m per hole with results expected in the next quarter. During the drilling Peregrine will test for extensions to the Tin Can West discovery, which previously returned 4m at 9g/t gold from 12m along with 8m at 8.33g/t from 56m, 8m at 6.53g/t from 48m, 4m at 11.35g/t from 28m and 4m at 10.82g/t from 32m. After wrapping up the Tin Can program, the company expects to begin initial aircore drilling at the Epithermal prospect, subject to a final review of survey results. 'We are excited to commence aircore drilling at Tin Can,' Peregrine's technical director George Merhi said. 'The team is eager to see what this round of drilling will discover as we have a compelling fertile target of substantial scale which has already generated high-grade gold mineralisation as evidenced by prior drilling results. 'Following the drilling at Tin Can we can look forward to commencing first phase aircore drilling at the Epithermal prospect.' The Newman gold project spans 1900km2, about 30km southwest of Newman. Asian Battery Metals (ASX:AZ9) Asian Battery Metals has enhanced its standing in Mongolia on confirming high-grade mineralisation at the Oval copper-nickel discovery with shares climbing 10.35% to a daily high of 3.2c before retreating to 2.7c. The Oval is one of 30 promising targets identified at the Yambat project, which covers 106.07km2 in the north-central part of Gobi-Altai Province. Previous drill hole OVD0213 ranked among the highest-grade intercepts drilled in recent years delivering grades of 6.08% copper and 3.19% nickel over 8.8m. And now, assays from phase 3 drilling have flagged a massive sulphide intercept in hole OVD034 which correlates well with previous results of 1.3m at 4.70% Cu, 3.65% Ni, 1.19g/t E3 (gold-platinum-palladium) and 0.12% cobalt from 79.6m. Hole OVD033 confirmed strong mineralisation down-dip from the phase 1 standout hole OVD0211 with 27.7m at 1.36% Cu, 0.86% Ni, 0.44 g/t E3 and 0.04% Co from 92.3m and 6.7m at 1.17% Cu and 0.96% Ni from 159.8m. Hole OVD032 intersected deeper, high-tenor sulphides, including 0.5m at 1.39% Cu, 1.91% Ni, 0.62g/t E3 and 0.07% Co from 293.7m. Asian Battery Metals (ASX:AZ9) said the results confirmed Oval as a new magmatic mafic intrusion related copper-nickel sulphide system in southwestern Mongolia. Visual logging of recent holes OVD036 and OVD0404 has indicated further strong intervals of massive sulphides, suggesting the system remains potentially open along strike and at depth. Additional assay results from these holes are expected in late June. The plan now is to start a ground-based EM survey later this month to guide follow-up drilling and test for deeper feeder zones. Ordell Minerals (ASX:ORD) (Up on no news) As drilling continues at the Barimaia gold project in the Murchison region of WA, Ordell Minerals is awaiting first results with bated breath, as are investors who sent shares up as much as 17.02% to 55c before closing at 49.5c. A multi-pronged, 5000m campaign is targeting extensions and new discoveries within the expanded 7km-long Barimaia Intrusion. First pass reverse circulation (RC) drilling is targeting discovery opportunities outlined by recent aircore drilling along strike from the 2.5km zone of mineralisation defined at the McNabs and McNabs East prospects. The company expects diamond drilling to start in the first half of June. Extensions to the host granodiorite intrusion identified by recent aircore drilling will also be systematically followed up in the second half of 2025. The flagship Barimaia project represents an advanced exploration project with significant historical drilling results. Ordell acquired an 80.3% interest in Barimaia from Genesis Minerals (ASX:GMD), which is now a major shareholder of Ordell with an 8% shareholding. Barimaia, which was never systematically explored due to Genesis' strategic focus on its assets in the Leonora region, is in a Tier-1 mining jurisdiction in proximity to several gold processing plants and adjacent to Ramelius Resources' Mt Magnet mill. Ordell's exploration at Barimaia is targeting new discoveries of a similar style to the Eridanus deposit, which forms part of Ramelius' Mt Magnet operations. Eridanus is ~6km northwest of Barimaia and hosts a resource of 21Mt at 1.7g/t Au for 1.2Moz of contained gold, with an additional +300,000oz already mined from the open pit.

Pop star Guy Sebastian's email revealed in Titus Day trial
Guy Sebastian personally negotiated a release from his contract to join manager Titus Day's new company in 2009 before their relationship ultimately soured, a court has been told. Mr Day is standing trial in the NSW District Court accused of embezzling more than $600,000 from the Aussie pop star. It's alleged that Mr Day failed to pay Mr Sebastian performance fees and royalties that were collected by his 6 Degrees talent agency, including $187,000 for performance fees when the Australian Idol winner supported Taylor Swift on her 2013 tour of Australia. Mr Day has denied doing anything dishonest or fraudulent and is fighting the allegations. He has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of embezzlement as a clerk or servant and one count of attempting to dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception. The court has been told that Mr Sebastian first became involved with Mr Day when he signed with the 22 Management company early in his career. At the time, Mr Day worked for 22 Management, which was owned by Sean Anderson. Then, in early 2009, Mr Day told Mr Anderson that he was looking to form his own company, the court was told on Wednesday. 'He indicated to me that he was looking for something a little bit more than an employee role and whether I was open to a partnership or bringing him in as a partner in the business,' Mr Anderson told the jury on Wednesday. 'I indicated I wasn't quite ready to do that and so he said he was looking to start his own business. And I encouraged him to do it.' And when Mr Day formed 6 Degrees and went out on his own, Mr Anderson said Mr Sebastian followed Mr Day because of their close relationship. 'Guy indicated he had formed a great relationship with Titus and he wanted to follow Titus, which I expected would happen,' Mr Anderson said. 'I didn't have anyone in the business that had the music skills that Titus had, so I then negotiated a release from my contract with Guy and he left shortly after.' The court was told that 22 Management had a written contract with Mr Sebastian, but Mr Anderson had since not been able to find a copy. The court was told that Mr Sebastian's contract with 22 Management was due to expire in April 2010; however, he negotiated a release to join Mr Day when he went out on his own to found 6 Degrees. The jury on Wednesday heard details of a mid-2009 email exchange between Mr Anderson and Mr Sebastian as they negotiated the terms of the singer's exit from his managerial contract. Initially, Mr Anderson proposed that 22 Management be given a percentage of Mr Sebastian's gross income for the next two years – 10 per cent on the first year and 5 per cent on the following year. However, Mr Day replied saying that 22 Management was only entitled to 20 per cent of all gross income up until April 2010 and after that a 'trailing commission' on any work done that was negotiated by Mr Anderson's business. The court was told that 'trailing commissions' were negotiated by managers to cover them for their investment in young and up-and-coming performers in the event they become successful and later leave to join new management. It prompted Mr Anderson to propose new terms, including a 15 per cent split to 22 Management and a 5 per cent split to 6 Degrees as well as trailing commissions. 'Titus should be doing somersaults with this outcome, if I was able to go out on my own and take the marquee client with me and earn commissions from day one, I'd be buying lottery tickets,' Mr Anderson wrote to Mr Sebastian in an email, the court was told. Mr Anderson also asked Mr Sebastian to perform at his 40th birthday free of charge, which he agreed to do as part of their amicable split, the court was told. The terms of Mr Sebastian's contract with 22 Management have been a key part of the trial. During his evidence, Mr Sebastian was grilled by Mr Day's defence about his deal with Mr Day in the early days of his contract. Mr Day's barrister Thomas Woods suggested to Mr Sebastian that he had agreed to 'look after' Mr Day down the track 'by compensating him for the lost commission during this early period' in 2009 when he was only earning 5 per cent. Mr Sebastian, during his evidence to the court last week, denied the assertion. '(Mr Day) wanted more than 5 per cent for that period but couldn't get it because of your arrangement with (22 Management) – you would look after him down the track when you were in a stronger financial position, and that was then what you did. That's what I'm suggesting to you,' Mr Woods said. 'Firstly, that's completely false … their agreement was a 15-5 agreement, and that was between them,' Mr Sebastian replied at the time. 'The concept that in 2014, that where I was already paying a lot of commission to Titus … that seems really ridiculous to me.'
