FuBear Sets Malaysia Record With 186 High-Fives In One Minute
KUALA LUMPUR, June 25 (Bernama) -- Taiwan Excellence's mascot, FuBear, has set a remarkable record by completing 186 high-fives with 70 participants in one minute, earning a place in the Malaysia Book of Records under the category 'Most High-Fives in One Minute by a Costume Mascot'. Taiwan Excellence, in a statement, said that the record-breaking feat took place during the Taiwan Expo 2025, held over three days starting June 23 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. It said the challenge was part of the ongoing "Give Me Five! A Better Life" global campaign, jointly organised with First City University College, SAIEF Malaysia Fitness, the non-profit community service organisation REACH Segamat, and the Malaysian Creative Sewing Arts Association (PSJKM). "The idea behind the record is to connect people's hearts through high-fives and demonstrate Taiwan Excellence's concept of 'Innovative Solutions for a Better Life'. FuBear is not only the super cute mascot for Taiwan Excellence but also represents the values of caring, inclusivity and innovation," according to the statement. It noted that through this simple act, FuBear had connected 11 regions worldwide, from Malaysia and Indonesia to Europe and the United States, to convey the positive energy of sustainability, good health and charity. "FuBear made its first appearance in Kuala Lumpur at the Jom Heboh carnival in May and has since gained popularity with the public. This time, it brought its popularity to the Taiwan Expo 2025 to promote public welfare," it said. In addition, FuBear collaborated with the Malaysian Creative Sewing Arts Association PSJKM to produce handmade, eco-friendly bags aimed at supporting disadvantaged women while raising environmental awareness. "With REACH Segamat, FuBear hopes to encourage autistic children to unleash their creativity by creating FuBear-themed drawings, which are then made into limited-edition Touch 'n Go cards to show off the beautiful inner world of the children. "All fundraising proceeds will be donated to the REACH Segamat training centre to support the education of autistic children," it said.

ALLDAY PROJECT's Tarzzan Shocks Netizens With Pre-Debut 'Soft-Boy' Photos
It is a well-known fact that in the K-pop industry, trainees undergo an intense regimen to alter their aesthetics according to the orders of management or the theme surrounding their debut. In most cases, your favourite idols would not look the same during their pre-debut phases, but what if you're just born with a face that perfectly fits the public's standard of beauty? Recently, netizens were star-struck over shared photos of ALLDAY PROJECT's (올데이 프로젝트) Tarzzan (타잔) pre-debut, posted on the Korean community site, Pann. Noting that his current aesthetic leans towards a bolder, reggae style, which was wrapped up in controversy, fans reminisce about his 'soft-boy' era look and how it would be a better fit for him. The photos uploaded to Pann were revealed to be of Tarzzan's, whose real name is Lee Chaewon's (이채원), pre-debut photos when he was 17 years old. The idol can be seen posing in a high school photo without his now-controversial braids and a shot of him through a digital camera, where fans can witness a softer persona to the idol's usual hip-hop style. Netizens from both Twitter and Pann have agreed that the ALLDAY PROJECT's member looks better without his braids on, mentioning how it gave him a softer look, fitting for his facial structure. A Pann user comments, 'At first glance, he looks like he has a warm heart. Above all, I like his personality; as he looks easygoing and friendly'. Netizens have also supported Tarzzan in his styling choice, mentioning how it would only encompass his debut. Another Pann user comments, 'Right now, this is the group's aesthetic! That's why they have this styling now, and they'll probably do a soft look at some point too'. Do we like a softer look on Tarzzan, or should he maintain his current look?
