Stolen air conditioner, meth found in serial shoplifter's truck
(KRON) – A stolen portable air conditioner and suspected meth was found in a serial shoplifter's truck on Thursday, according to the Vallejo Police Department.
Several retail businesses notified Vallejo police about a 'distinctive' white Toyota Tacoma that was connected with a habitual thief. One of the store's managers provided surveillance footage of the driver shoplifting from their store and fleeing in the Toyota.
VPD said officers located the Toyota and the suspect parked in a parking lot on Fairgrounds Drive, and the suspect was detained.
Serial thief found with multiple stolen baby monitors
Per police investigation, the suspect had 15 active warrants issued by multiple agencies across the state. The suspects' warrants varied from multiple charges, including grand theft, burglary, vandalism, organized retail theft, and petty theft. In total, his bail for his warrant was $390,000, according to police.
Suspected methamphetamine and glass pipes were found by police in the suspect's trunk, Vallejo PD. Police also recovered a stolen portable air conditioner that was confirmed to have been stolen from a hardware store in Fairfield.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Solano County Jail on suspicion of grand theft, possession of stolen property, narcotics violations and his outstanding warrants.

69-year-old Dubois County man arrested following a road rage incident
HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — A Dubois County man was arrested following a road rage incident. A release from the Indiana State Police says troopers were called to I-64 near the 21 mile-marker in Vanderburgh County at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The release goes on to say a driver was traveling east on I-64 in a utility truck and was passing a black Toyota Tacoma when the driver of that Tacoma allegedly pointed a handgun toward the other driver. Troopers in the area say they were able to the driver of the Toyota Tacoma near the 45 mile-marker in Warrick County. The driver was identified as 69-year-old Allan Mesmer of Dubois County. Troopers say Mesmer had a 9 mm handgun in his possession. The magazine for the handgun was full, but it was not loaded. No one was injured in the incident. Vancouver man arrested after driving into Pacific Coliseum entrance during Cirque du Soleil show, police say
A 30-year-old man has been arrested after driving a vehicle into the Pacific Coliseum on Thursday night, say Vancouver police. The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) said on X, formerly Twitter, that the suspect drove a vehicle into the front entrance of the arena, located at East Vancouver's Hastings Park, during a Cirque du Soleil performance. Arena security detained the man and police officers took him into custody. Police said that while it is still early in the investigation, the incident "does not appear to be an act of terrorism." The suspect, a Vancouver resident, was apprehended under the Mental Health Act, police said. At a Thursday night press conference outside the arena, VPD Sgt. Steve Addison said police believe the driver was "experiencing some sort of mental health psychosis." Police said there are no reported injuries. B.C. Emergency Health Services said it received a call at 8:02 p.m. regarding a single-vehicle collision at Pacific Coliseum. Three units responded to the scene and paramedics transported one patient. "There were lots of people here, thousands of people inside and outside of the venue," Addison said Thursday night. "We're relieved. It's a miracle that nobody was killed."

Three men to go on trial next year over fires linked to UK PM Starmer
LONDON (Reuters) -Three men all linked to Ukraine will go on trial next April accused of involvement in a series of arson attacks on houses and a vehicle in London connected to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, a London court heard on Friday. Over five days last month, police were called to fires at a house in north London owned by Starmer, another at a property nearby where he used to live, and to a blaze involving a car that also used to belong to the British leader. Ukrainian Roman Lavrynovych, 21, is charged with three counts of arson with intent to endanger life. Fellow Ukrainian Petro Pochynok, 34, and Romanian national Stanislav Carpiuc, 26, who was born in Ukraine, are accused of conspiracy to commit arson. Lavrynovych and Carpiuc appeared by video-link at London's Old Bailey court on Friday where Judge Bobbie Cheema-Grubb set the trial for April 27 next year. Pochynok was not present for the hearing. In earlier hearings, prosecutors said the motive for the arsons was unclear. The men will enter formal pleas at a hearing in October, but the lawyers for Carpiuc and Pochynok said their clients denied involvement. Counter-terrorism police have led the investigation but none of the men have been charged with offences under terrorism laws or the new National Security Act, which was brought in to target hostile state activity. Police said the first fire involved a Toyota RAV4 car that Starmer used to own and sold to a neighbour. Days later, there was a blaze at a property where Starmer previously resided and the following day there was an attack on a house in north London that he still owns. Starmer, who has lived at his official 10 Downing Street residence in central London since becoming prime minister last July, has called the incidents "an attack on all of us, on our democracy and the values we stand for". Earlier this week a fourth man, aged 48, who had been arrested at London Stansted Airport in connection with the arson, was released on police bail.
