Catiga Wren Arnett was apprehended over the horrendous abuse her son suffered with police finding him in an adult nappy, although he had not "urinated for an extended period"
A monster mum allegedly neglected her son so badly his legs rotted away and needed to be amputated.
Catiga Wren Arnett, 54, was apprehended over the horrific abuse that her adopted son suffered. Police in Missouri found her adopted son, who suffered with Spina bifida in horrendous conditions, according to court documents.
Her son, who has the mental capacity of a 10-year-old, lived with Arnett in Noel, about five hours away from Kansas City. The abuse is believed to have happened between January 1 and March 7, according to records obtained by the Daily Mail.
Her son's age was not stated in the legal filing but his condition is the result of a birth defect that results in the spinal cord not closing completely during pregnancy and "rendered him a paraplegic," the court documents said.
Paramedics were alerted to the situation and arrived at Arnett's home on March 7 where they found the son on the bedroom floor wearing an adult nappy, the report said. Authorities said he had a colostomy bag port "but the bag was not present."
The child had a catheter with an empty bag that was filled with calcified residue which suggested he "had not urinated for an extended period." He was taken to Freeman Hospital and then the Missouri Orthopedic Institute in Columbia, court documents said.
Arnett pleaded guilty on July 10 in McDonald County Circuit Court. Arnett is due to return to court for a bond hearing on August 13, per her records.
Arnett previously pleaded guilty in 2022 to a miscellaneous health and safety charge. This refers to various violations that endanger or could potentially endanger the health and safety of others.
Arnett's husband, Steve, was apprehended in April 2023 for strangling and kicking a child. Court documents stated he was sentenced to two counts of probation for endangering the welfare of a child in the second degree.

A husband opened up his LinkedIn DMs - and found a devastating bombshell from a porn star that threatens to blow up his marriage: 'Your wife has been sleeping with Mark Latham'

Mark Latham's ex has allegedly tried to wreck a love rival's marriage by messaging the woman's husband on LinkedIn. The Daily Mail has obtained an extraordinary direct message Nathalie Matthews allegedly sent the husband of a second woman who became the politician's 'confidante' late last year. In the DM, sent at 12.12am on Friday, Ms Matthews's LinkedIn account says, out of the blue: 'Your wife was sleeping with Mark Latham. 'I am not scorned, I have been abused by him.' On Saturday afternoon, the husband received a second, further message from an anonymous email address. The email repeated Ms Matthews' alleged claim in similar language. It added: 'We know it's true, seen naked photos and their dirty texts and been there after she left the Fullerton Hotel where she would sleep with him. 'I wish you no harm. I hope that a peaceful life is around the corner for us all.' Pictured is the LinkedIn message Ms Matthews sent to the unnamed woman's husband The bombshell messages were sent to the husband over the weekend after his wife's relationship with Latham was first revealed by the Daily Mail. The email also included a link to a previous article by the Mail exploring the unnamed woman's relationship with Latham. It also had an unblurred version of a blurred photograph included in the article, in which the woman is pictured sitting on Latham's lap at a racecourse. Ms Matthews, via her lawyer, denied having any connection to the anonymous email address. But Latham told the Daily Mail on Monday that he also believed Ms Matthews was allegedly responsible for it. He said the photo had been obtained from his laptop without his permission. '(Ms Matthews) is the only person I know of who has them, other than the person who took them,' he said. The second woman is also convinced Ms Matthews sent the email, claiming she was the only one in possession of the unblurred image and who knew of her 'brief friendship' with Latham. She said she planned to report the messages to the police on Monday afternoon and her husband would apply for an AVO against Ms Matthews if she messaged him again. It marks the latest twist in the dramatic fallout between the former Labor leader and Ms Matthews, a Sydney businesswoman and former Liberal political hopeful, who is applying for an AVO against Latham on abuse grounds he firmly denies. The Daily Mail previously received an email from the same address that supplied the explicit image to the woman's husband, claiming the unnamed woman had 'frequent sexual encounters' with Latham. 'My friend (name removed) admitted that she was also mistreated (s*** on her) by Mark Latham,' the message read. 'They were together at the Fullerton Hotel. Despite being married, she was very jealous of Nathalie.' The unnamed woman admitted visiting the Fullerton Hotel once with Latham but denied ever being abused by or having sex with him. 'Nothing ever went anywhere as I'm happily married, it was a flirtation and nothing happened,' she said. She added that Ms Matthews 'judges others ... thinking everyone is having sex everywhere. We aren't!' Ms Matthews' ex-husband, Ross, who is himself the subject of an AVO application brought on Ms Matthews' behalf, also believes Ms Matthews sent the email. Mr Matthews, who has previously declined to go on the record against his ex, told the Daily Mail the email was the 'straw that broke the camel's back'. 'What she's done to me, whatever, I'll defend it in court. I don't really give a s*** and what she's done to Mark, I mean, he's a politician, he can look after himself,' he said. 'But now she's out there just destroying civilians who have never done anything wrong to her, just because she f***ing lost the plot, so I've had enough of it. Mr Matthews has pleaded not guilty to one count of using a carriage service to menace, harass or offend against Ms Matthews which he plans to defend in court. Ms Matthews is also applying for an AVO against Latham in the NSW Local Court, accusing the politician of engaging in a 'sustained' pattern of abuse. Latham has denied abusing Ms Matthews, claims he has previously referred to as 'complete rubbish'. The matter will return to court next month.

Westminster Bridge closed as police rush to deal with 'incident' - sparking early morning commuter chaos

Westminster Bridge has closed this morning, sparking rush hour chaos as police rushed to deal with an incident. The Thames crossing point remains empty as early morning commuters were forced to take alternative routes to work. The bridge was shut following a police incident, with a cordon set up and ambulances stationed in the middle of the road. Bus routes which usually run across the bridge were diverted, with traffic scanners suggesting the road has been shut for at least three hours. The AA stated: 'Bridge closed due to police incident on A302 Westminster Bridge both ways between A3211 Victoria Embankment and Lambeth Palace Road. Traffic is coping well. Detour in operation - for 12 bus routes.' The Daily Mail has contacted the Met Police for comment.

Iran 'is hunting British spies using leaked kill list' - with fears they will be captured and used as 'bargaining chips'

Iran is plotting with the Taliban to hunt down British agents using a leaked database that exposed details of MI6 spies and UK Special Forces. Officials from Iran's Revolutionary Guards flew to Kabul last week to ask Afghanistan 's warlords for 'access' to the bombshell list at the centre of a two-year super-injunction drama in the UK. Earlier this month it was reported that Iran had begun efforts to get their hands on the highly sensitive list 'so they can hunt down MI6 spies'. But now it is understood that four IRGC officials - who are said to have travelled to Afghanistan without involving Tehran's civilian government - intend to capture British spies and use them as 'bargaining chips' in negotiations with the West over the nation's controversial nuclear programme, The Telegraph reported. In return, the Taliban wish to be formally recognised by Iran as the official rulers of Afghanistan. A senior Iranian official said the list had been handed over by the Taliban, adding: 'They [the IRGC officials] want to find British spies before the 'snapback' to have something to pressure London behind closed doors.' The spectre of Iran's extremists and the brutal Taliban regime co-ordinating efforts to hunt down British agents has been causing 'concern' in Whitehall, the Daily Mail reported earlier this month. A vital database of Afghans and UK officials putting 100,000 people 'at risk of death'. A soldier escorts a family at Stansted in May as part of a government scheme costed at £7billion smuggling migrants to Britain after a data-leak blunder exposed by the Daily Mail When the Daily Mail discovered this data breach disaster in 2023, the Government secured a draconian court order to hush it up, triggering a 23-month battle in secret courts for open justice. Last month the Government finally abandoned its super-injunction and the public discovered ministers had secretly agreed a £7billion scheme, including a mass evacuation programme to rescue thousands of Afghans who had worked for British forces. Ministers ordered lawyers to gag the Daily Mail and others with a second High Court injunction, to prevent the media revealing how the lost list had included details of more than a hundred MI6 spies, Special Forces and other UK officials. The so-called 'kill list' contains the names of 25,000 Afghans who were applying to a UK scheme to give sanctuary to those who had worked on the frontlines with British forces. The Daily Mail has seen a copy of the full dataset lost by the British government, and it is understood it also includes details of more than 100 British officials including MI6, Special Forces and senior military commanders, as well as MPs. Many of these were included to help officials verify legitimate claims. Although codes are used, and the list does not specifically identify any spies or special forces, it could be a valuable dataset for an enemy. It is understood that several people whose names appear on the list have been arrested in recent days by Iranian border forces. Daily Mail journalists faced jail by order of a Penal Notice if they revealed the Government's secret - or even breathed a word about the existence of the draconian court order Many have been released soon after, with the 'focus' said to be on detaining 'British spies'. This week, Britain, France and Germany threatened Iran with a 'snapback' - the return of economic sanctions that were imposed before 2015 if nuclear talks did not begin again by the end of this month. In 2015 a deal was struck between Iran and Western powers to curb its nuclear enrichment program in return for a lifting of banking and trade sanctions. With this deal due to expire on October 18, the official added: 'The IRGC is doing everything it can to find bargaining chips for talks before the deadline.' Meanwhile a Taliban official told The Telegraph: 'Some argued that we should not do any favours for the Iranians given how badly they are treating our refugees there, but if they were willing to recognise the Islamic Emirate [of Afghanistan] in return, that would not be a bad deal.' The so-called 'kill list' was accidentally leaked in February 2022 when a British soldier emailed the complete file to Afghan contacts instead of sending a small extract. A Government spokesman said: 'It's a longstanding policy of successive governments to not comment on intelligence matters but this once again underlines how serious the original data breach was and why the previous government have serious questions to answer about how this was ever allowed to happen.'
