Pensioner on mobility scooter critically injured in crash
An 84-year-old man is in a critical condition after being hit by a car while riding a mobility scooter. The crash happened at around 4.50pm on Friday on Gartlea Road in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, when the mobility scooter was struck by a Vauxhall Mokka driven by a 43-year-old man. Emergency services attended and the pensioner was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where staff described his condition as critical. Biker in critical condition after Fradley crash
A motorbike rider is in a critical condition in hospital with life-threatening injuries, several days after a crash in Staffordshire, police emergency services were called at about 20:30 BST on Wednesday to Gorse Lane, close to the roundabout on Woodend Lane in Fradley, near crash happened just after 20:15 BST, the force said, and involved a white Yamaha rider, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital by air ambulance and officers said they wanted to speak to a passing runner who stopped to give him first aid.
