Tribute to 'hero' Stafford motorcyclist who died after crash

A motorcyclist who died after a crash has been described as a "hero" in a tribute from his family.David Mason, from Stafford, was riding a motorbike when it was involved in a crash with a car on Chester Road in Weston-under-Lizard, Staffordshire, at about 15:30 BST on 27 June.The 65-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries and died on 14 July, Staffordshire Police confirmed.Mr Mason's family paid tribute "in loving memory" of the father and grandfather, and said he was "taken too soon".
"So brave, such a fighter," they added. "Ride high daddykins. We miss you so much. Our dad, our hero."Police have urged anyone who was travelling in the area at the time, or who might have dashcam footage which could help the investigation, to get in touch.
