Oklahoma Sooners leading the way for talented 4-Star prospect out of Texas
The Oklahoma Sooners continue to pick up steam for four-star wide receiver prospect Aljour Miles. This week, a number of predictions have come in favoring the Sooners for the Kaufman, Texas product.
The most recent came from 247Sports Mike Roach, but Miles was also predicted to land with the Sooners by Josh McCusition of SoonerScoop and On3 and Collin Kennedy of Sooners Illustrated and 247Sports. Back in February, Sam Spiegelman of Rivals issued a FutureCast favoring the Oklahoma Sooners in the recruitment of the fast-rising prospect out of Texas. The Sooners have been the favorite dating back to a FutureCast from OUInsider's Parker Thune back in July.
Here's what I had to say about Aljour Miles back in February.
Miles is a big play waiting to happen. He has the speed to run by the defense and does a great job tracking the football in the air. He's a physical player after the catch, displaying a willingness to take on contact to try and gain extra yards. Miles has really good hands and is able to make plays in traffic.
The Oklahoma Sooners only have one wide receiver committed to the 2026 recruiting class: four-star prospect out of California, Daniel Odom. Miles has the size and ability to be a standout at the collegiate level. If the predictions hold, he'll be making plays for the Oklahoma Sooners in the future.

Former QB blasts Mike Tomlin, Steelers' Aaron Rodgers signing: 'Definition of insanity' Steelers HC Mike Tomlin has come under fire after news of the Aaron Rodgers signing broke — and former NFL QB Chase Daniel isn't holding back. Back in January, Tomlin claimed that "it's not like doing I've been doing the same things over [and over]" — but Daniel explained that the Rodgers signing proves the exact opposite (courtesy of The Facility): "That's completely false, because you have been doing the same thing over and over. The Steelers have been in this situation before — an aging quarterback, trying to resurrect his career, that needs to be propped up by the NFL's most expensive defense. Texas A&M basketball re-offers 2027 5-star small forward With Texas A&M's basketball program under new management, head coach Bucky McMillan is off and running this offseason after adding 13 players to the 2025 roster, including highly coveted Spanish guard Rubén Domínguez, who announced his commitment on Friday afternoon. While the future is bright, the present is even brighter amid the talent McMillan will work with this fall. On the recruiting trail, McMillan has yet to land a 2026 prospect, but has made significant progress over the past month. In the 2027 cycle, Texas A&M has officially re-offered five-star small forward Ryan Hampton, whose previous praise of former head coach Buzz Williams' coaching staff was more based on all-time scoring guard Wade Taylor IV, while the Aggies offered his brother, former NBA guard RJ Hampton. "I've been around that program a lot since they recruited my brother. They have a player presently on their team, Wade Taylor, he is a great player. And he is the guy they need to go out and win them a game.' With the new and exciting Texas A&M staff led by McMillan, Hampton is back in the fold and will continue to consider the Aggies moving forward. With the talent the program has acquired this offseason, Hampton has a baseline to work off of regarding McMillan's ability to recruit. During his 2024-2025 season with Dynamic Prep, Hampton averaged 7.8 points per game and shot above 60% from the field. According to 247Sports Composite, Hampton is currently positioned as the 2nd-ranked prospect in the class, 2nd-ranked small forward, and the No. 1-ranked prospect in Texas.
