West Lothian man still at large as police probe fatal hit-and-run horror

Police remain on the hunt for a West Lothian man wanted in connection with the death of a teenager in Yorkshire.
West Yorkshire Police issued an appeal for information on Tuesday for help tracing three individuals following the death of Ashton Kitchen-White who was knocked down on Ring Road Beeston Park, Middleton, on Friday, May 16.
Following the appeal, two individuals, one of which was also based in West Lothian, handed themselves in to police.
They have been arrested in connection with death by dangerous driving. However, 26-year-old Macauley Martin from Livingston remains on the run.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for information to help trace Martin and anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact 101 quoting Operation Pintford or crime reference 13250275852.
Information can be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers via 0800 555 111 or online via https://crimestoppers-uk.org/.

An elderly woman has died in a house fire after being found inside a two-storey townhouse in Sydney 's inner west, around 11.45pm on Friday night. The 82-year-old was discovered dead inside the Westbourne Street home in Petersham by fire and rescue crews. Four fire trucks were dispatched to the address where they found one man, 57, and the woman inside. Paramedics treated the man for smoke inhalation at the scene before he was transported to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition. The woman however was unable to be revived and has yet to be formally identified. A spokesperson for Fire and Rescue NSW said she was found inside the room where the fire had originated. Neighbouring buildings were evacuated while rescue crews worked to extinguish the blaze before the area was handed over to police for a formal investigation. Police have established a crime scene and are investigating the fire. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

The discovery was made after officers executed a warrant at a property in Clarence Street on Thursday, June 5. An extensive cannabis cultivation was found inside, with the drugs having an estimated street value of £1,306,200. Five men, aged 17, 23, 26, 38 and 50 were arrested and charged in connection with drug offences. They appeared at Greenock Sheriff Court on Friday, June 6. Sergeant Gary Arthur said: "This is a significant recovery and is an example of our efforts to disrupt the trade in illegal drugs in Scotland. "It also underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country's Serious Organised Crime Strategy. "We would continue to urge anyone with information or concerns about drugs and firearms activity in their area to contact Police Scotland on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

PSNI looking to identify four men after week of disorder

The Police Service of Northern Ireland is seeking the public's assistance in identifying four men as part of a probe into disorder in the region. The PSNI released images of four 'persons of interest' it wants to identify and interview in connection with its investigations. At a press conference on Friday, Assistant Chief Constable Ryan Henderson said: 'In releasing these images, I am asking the wider community to step forward and help us to identify these people.' He added: 'I would urge anyone who may have information to bring it forward.' Anyone who may be able to identify any of these individuals or provide any information about them such as their name, address or age is urged to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on 101. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
