If you thought BLACKPINK was the biggest girl group in the world right now, KPop Demon Hunters' HUNTR/X just hit a Billboard milestone even Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa haven't reached in their nine-year run. While some might argue the group is fictional, it's important to remember that the people, especially the musical artists, behind it are very real. Since the Netflix animated film's debut in June, its popularity has kept soaring, with HUNTR/X now matching a 24-year-old Destiny's Child Billboard record. Scroll ahead to know more!
KPop Demon Hunters' HUNTR/X tops the Billboard Hot 100 chart
HUNTR/X just blew up the Billboard Hot 100 by claiming the number one spot with their smash hit Golden. But don't sleep on the real talent behind the scenes: Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami bring the fire with vocals that cut through the noise and a beat that hooks you instantly. The film's soundtrack has been hailed as straight-up a masterpiece, mixing raw emotion with catchy bangers that keep fans hooked from start to finish.
Meanwhile, HUNTR/x rivals Saja Boys are riding the wave too. Their track Your Idol crashed into the Billboard top 10 for the first time, charting at number 8. Another banger by the fictional boy group, Soda Pop, hit a killer number five on the Global 200, proving KPop Demon Hunters isn't just a movie; it's a cultural Takedown, blurring the lines between fantasy and reality while flipping the K-pop game on its head.

HUNTR/X matches Destiny's Child's 24-year-old Billboard record, beating BLACKPINK to it
With their fresh Billboard achievement, HUNTR/X has matched a 24-year-old Destiny's Child record by becoming the first girl group since them to hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Destiny's Child, made up of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams, achieved this milestone back in 2001 with their iconic track Bootylicious. Since then, no girl group—not even global superstars BLACKPINK—has claimed the top spot on the Hot 100.
Notably, BLACKPINK's biggest Billboard moments came with Ice Cream featuring Selena Gomez, which peaked at number 13, and Kill This Love, which reached number 41.
