Dubai Flights Disrupted Amid India-Pakistan Tensions

Several flights to and from Pakistan and northern India have been cancelled or delayed at Dubai International Airport amid ongoing airspace restrictions triggered by escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. Dubai-based carriers Emirates and flydubai have reported delays and cancellation, according to the airport's website.
According to the airport's latest flight status, the following flights have been cancelled:• Multan (MUX): FZ 340
• Lahore (LHE): EK 623, AC 7617, FZ 360
• Sialkot (SKT): EK 619, FZ 338
• Karachi (KHI): FZ 332
• Faisalabad (LYP): FZ 356
• Islamabad (ISB): FZ 354
The following flights have been delayed:
• Lahore (LHE): PA 416, EK 625, AC 7579
• Sialkot (SKT): PK 179
• Islamabad (ISB): PA 210, EK 613, AC 7571
• Multan (MUX): FZ 326
• New Delhi (DEL): EK 513
• Peshawar (PEW): EK 637
Several flights from Zayed International Airport have been canceled as airspace restrictions continue to disrupt operations in the region.
According to the airport's latest flight status, the following flights have been canceled: Etihad Airways (EY297) – Karachi
– Karachi Pakistan International Airlines (PK264) – Lahore
– Lahore Air Arabia Abu Dhabi (3L335) – Multan
Passengers are advised to check with their airlines for the latest updates and reschedule if necessary
Qatar Airways has temporarily suspended all flights to Pakistan following the closure of Pakistani airspace. The airline said it is closely monitoring the situation and reaffirmed that the safety of passengers and crew remains its top priority.
Passengers have been advised to check the latest updates on affected flights by visiting qatarairways.com or by contacting the airline's customer service centre at +974 4144 5555.
Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, SpiceJet and IndiGo issued flight advisories on Wednesday for airports in northern India. The airlines urged passengers to check flight status and plan their journeys accordingly.
Several major airlines are avoiding Pakistan's airspace.
Air France announced it has suspended flights over the country until further notice due to the 'recent evolution of tensions between India and Pakistan.' The airline said it is adapting its flight schedule, with some routes requiring longer flight times.
Similarly, Germany's Lufthansa confirmed it is 'avoiding Pakistani airspace until further notice.' Flight-tracking data also indicated that British Airways, Swiss International Air Lines, and Emirates have adjusted their flight paths, rerouting over the Arabian Sea and heading north toward Delhi to avoid Pakistani airspace.

Dubai's national carrier Emirates has signed an agreement with Bahamasair, the flag carrier of The Bahamas, to establish an interline partnership benefitting customers travelling to The Bahamas. The partnership enables Emirates to expand its reach in the Caribbean, allowing customers to utilise the services of The Bahamas' national flag carrier from Florida to one of three destinations on the island country. Under the unilateral agreement, customers traveling on Emirates to Miami or Orlando will be able to connect to Bahamasair flights to Nassau, Freeport or San Salvador, with the added convenience of booking itineraries with both airlines on a single ticket. Additionally, Emirates' customers will enjoy generous baggage allowance when flying on Bahamasair to the three destinations. On the new interline partnership, Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, said: "We are pleased to establish an interline partnership with Bahamasair to expand our reach to new and exciting destinations and offer travel options for our customers planning journeys to the Caribbean nation." "The interline partnership offers customers the convenience of connecting in Florida for travel onwards to points across the islands of The Bahamas, while enjoying competitive fare pricing, the convenience of booking the entire journey on a single ticket and a generous baggage policy," he stated. "This partnership also supports our agreement with The Bahamas' Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote the Caribbean destination across our network," he added. As part of the MoU, both carriers will also explore opportunities to enhance their cargo interline cooperation and potential partnerships under their frequent flyer programmes. Bahamasair Managing Director Tracy Cooper said: "This partnership significantly elevates Bahamasair's global profile and opens access to invaluable expertise and new markets. By aligning with one of the world's most respected airlines, we strengthen our capabilities and lay the groundwork for sustained international growth." Florida gateways, Miami and Orlando, are amongst the 12 US destinations that the world's largest international airline currently flies.

Etihad goes four daily to Karachi

Etihad Airways has further increased its flight frequencies to Karachi, Pakistan, with tickets now on sale. This expansion is part of the airline's ongoing commitment to provide guests with more travel options and enhanced connectivity. From October 1, Etihad will start flying four times a day on the Abu Dhabi – Karachi route, providing a total of 28 weekly nonstop services to Pakistan's economic hub. The enhanced flight frequencies and optimised departure and arrival times are carefully designed to provide guests with maximum convenience and seamless connectivity across Etihad's expanding global network, including the UAE, the Middle East and Africa, Europe, and North America, the ailrine said.
