
Sony opens new store at QDF in partnership with Modern Home

Sony Middle East and Africa, in partnership with Modern Home and Qatar Duty Free (QDF), held the official ribbon-cutting ceremony of its new store located at Hamad International Airport, marking a significant milestone in strengthening the brand's presence across the region.
The ceremony was graced by senior management from Sony, Modern Home and Qatar Airways, including Kazuo Kii, executive deputy president, officer in charge of engineering and operations, senior vice president, Sony Group Corporation; Jobin Joejoe, managing director, Sony Middle East and Africa; alongside Bader Al-Darwish, chairman and managing director, Modern Home; and Thabet Musleh, chief retail and hospitality officer, Qatar Airways.

Qatar's pilgrims successfully perform Hajj rituals
MAKKAH AL MUKARRAMAH: Qatar's pilgrims have successfully performed the Hajj rituals for the current year 1446 AH, under the close supervision and monitoring of the Qatari Hajj Mission and in coordination with the approved Hajj campaigns. In a statement, the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs said that best conditions were provided for the Hajj pilgrimage to be performed with comfort and peace of mind, thanks to the capabilities provided by the state and the directives of the wise leadership. The ministry added that the pilgrims and Hajj campaign owners hailed the distinguished services provided by the Qatari mission, including good preparation, excellent organization, and high-quality equipment, particularly in the holy sites, as the Arafat Camp, its facilities and services, as well as Mina and Muzdalifah, witnessed significant developments. It pointed out that these positive feedback from pilgrims and Hajj pilgrims is the fruitful outcome of the constructive cooperation and ongoing coordination between officials of the Hajj and Umrah Department at the Awqaf Ministry, the Qatari Hajj Mission, and Hajj pilgrims. This has resulted in the provision of the highest quality services to the country's pilgrims, helping them perform their rituals with ease and in the correct manner. In this context, a number of pilgrims and campaign representatives expressed their deep gratitude and sincere thanks to the wise leadership for the comprehensive support and continuous care provided to the country's pilgrims. This was reflected in the high-quality services and meticulous organization since the pilgrims' departure from Hamad International Airport until the completion of the Hajj rituals and their return home. Pilgrims praised the pioneering role of the Qatari Hajj Mission, headed by Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs HE Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanim. The mission led this year's Hajj operations with high efficiency and a team spirit, with clear directives to harness all energies to serve pilgrims, in cooperation with the advisory committee and all supporting service and technical units, as well as the intensive fieldwork of the seventeen approved campaigns. They affirmed the provision of all required facilities, reflecting the meticulous planning and dedicated efforts of the Awqaf Ministry, the Qatari Hajj Mission, and its supporting units, in cooperation and coordination with the relevant authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

QA, leading Qatari banks sign QR4.5 bn financing deal
Tribune News Network Doha For the first time in 28 years, Qatar Airways (QA) has signed a landmark agreement with leading local Qatari banks led by QNB to provide QR4.5 billion in strategic financing. The financing will be provided by domestic banks in Qatar. The syndication was fully underwritten and led by QNB Group as the sole and exclusive Book Runner, Global Coordinator, Initial Mandated Lead Arranger and Structuring Bank, while the lending banks include Ahlibank, Commercial Bank, Doha Bank, Dukhan Bank, QIB, and QIIB. This new agreement will see an innovative approach taken whereby local banks lend in Qatari Riyals in both conventional and Islamic tranches and commercial terms in line with international benchmarks for a strategic financing transaction of this nature. QIA, Msheireb Properties sign deal for sustainable urban development
QNA Doha Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) and Msheireb Properties have signed a strategic partnership to accelerate the expansion of sustainable urban projects in Qatar.
