KUALA LUMPUR, June 20 (Bernama) -- The youth wing of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK), today released the full list of leadership appointments for the 2025–2028 term, following the first meeting of the movement's central leadership council (MPAMK) held yesterday.
In a statement, AMK congratulated all appointees and expressed hope that they will carry out their duties and responsibilities effectively in serving the grassroots and the wider community.
'Several agenda items were discussed during the meeting, aimed at strengthening AMK's role as the primary platform for youth voices in Malaysian politics, while facing current challenges with a more inclusive and progressive approach.

KUALA LUMPUR: The New Straits Times Press (NSTP) group took home 13 accolades across various categories at the MPI-Petronas Malaysian Journalism Awards 2024 tonight. The wins were split among NSTP's titles, with four awards going to the New Straits Times (NST), six to Harian Metro (HM), and three to Berita Harian (BH). Harian Metro was the night's highlight, clinching the country's most coveted journalism honour, the Kajai Award. NST's Leslie Andres secured silver in the Best Column Writing category for pieces including 'UN veto power is main obstacle to world peace', 'Mindset shift must accompany any rule change', and 'Western singers skipping Malaysia due to those kicking up a fuss'. In the Best Investigative Journalism category, Aliza Shah from NST won the silver award for her impactful report titled 'Children forced into local pornographic content'. In video journalism, NST received bronze in both the Best Video Documentary and Best Video Talk Show categories. The documentary was produced by Aliza Shah, Iylia Marsya Iskandar, Khairus Ramli, and Amalina Kamal, while the talk show was helmed by Siti Nur Amalina Kamal, Hazween Syarina Md Hassan, Farrah Ain Jasmine Jasman, and Shahrul Redzuan Zulkifli. The ceremony saw over a thousand guests from across the media industry, including editors, reporters and corporate representatives, gather to celebrate excellence in Malaysian journalism. This year's awards attracted 549 entries from 58 media organisations, with honours handed out across 23 categories. The night also marked the launch of MPI's first-ever journalism e-journal by Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.

KOTA KINABALU, June 20 (Bernama) -- Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail heads a list of 1,015 recipients of state honours in conjunction with the 74th official birthday of the Yang Dipertua Negeri of Sabah, Tun Musa Aman. Saifuddin Nasution was conferred the Seri Panglima Darjah Kinabalu (SPDK), which carries the title 'Datuk Seri Panglima'. Also receiving the SPDK were Sabah Rural Development Minister Datuk Jahid Jahim, as well as businessmen Datuk Ahmad Fuad Md Ali and Datuk Lim Yu Ming. Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Deputy Minister Dr Fuziah Salleh and Tourism, Arts and Culture Deputy Minister Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan were among the 78 recipients of the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK) award, which carries the title of 'Datuk'. Other PGDK recipients include Senator Anna Bell @ Suzieana Perian, Labuan MP Dr Suhaili Abdul Rahman, Kapayan assemblyman Jannie Lasimbang, and Pantai Manis assemblyman Mohd Tamin Zainal. Among the other recipients were Kota Kinabalu High Court Judge Alexander Siew How Wai; Head of the Internal Security and Public Order Department, Sabah Police Contingent Headquarters, SAC Abdul Fuad Abdul Malek; and Head of the Special Branch, Sabah Police Contingent Headquarters, SAC Abdul Rahman Ishak. Also conferred the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK) were Commander of the 13th Infantry Brigade, Brig Gen Jagjit Singh Indar Singh; Sabah State Health Department Director, Dr Maria Suleiman; Sabah Parks Director, Dr Maklarin Lakim; Football Association of Malaysia President, Mohd Joehari Mohd Ayub; and Sabah Islamic Religious Council Chief Executive Officer, Ramlan Awang Ali. A total of 274 individuals were conferred the Ahli Setia Darjah Kinabalu (ASDK), 181 received the Ahli Darjah Kinabalu (ADK), 248 the Bintang Setia Kinabalu (BSK), 285 the Bintang Kinabalu (BK), 109 the Perkhidmatan Terpuji award, and 10 were bestowed the Jaksa Pendamai (Justice of the Peace) title. Three Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Sabah Bureau staff were also honoured, namely seasoned journalist Emin Madi, who was conferred the PGDK; Sabah Bureau Chief Fadzli Ramli, who received the ADK; and photographer Zamain Singkui, who was awarded the BSK.

President Prabowo Invites Russian Firms to Enter Indonesian Market

PETERSBURG, June 20 (Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti) -- Indonesia is open for business and welcomes Russian companies to invest in the Indonesian market, President Prabowo Subianto said on Friday, Sputnik/RIA Novosti reported. "We are open for business. We invite all groups from everywhere, especially Russian entities ... We know Russian corporations, and we would like to see Russia participate more in our economy," Prabowo Subianto said at a plenary session of the the 2025 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). The Russian city of St. Petersburg is hosting the 28th edition of SPIEF from June 18-21 under the theme of "Shared Values: The Foundation of Growth in a Multipolar World".
