FRANKFURT, May 6 (Reuters) - Lufthansa (LHAG.DE)
, opens new tab Chairman Karl-Ludwig Kley will not run again as head of the German airline group's supervisory board, he told an annual investors' meeting on Tuesday, adding that the search for a successor in 2026 was on track.

German economy to grow after two straight years of contraction, IfW says
BERLIN, June 12 (Reuters) - The German economy is expected to grow this year following two consecutive years of contraction, the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW) said on Thursday. The economic institute raised its forecast to 0.3% growth from the stagnation it had previously envisaged. The revision is due to a better-than-expected first quarter, when the economy grew by 0.4%. "The German economy is seeing some light at the end of the tunnel," the economists said in their new forecasts. They are also more optimistic about next year, raising the forecast for Europe's largest economy to 1.6% growth from the previous forecast of 1.5% in 2026.

Deutsche Bank's deal-making business weaker than expected, CEO says
FRANKFURT, June 12 (Reuters) - Deutsche Bank's ( opens new tab origination and advisory business is not as strong as the German bank had expected at the beginning of the year, CEO Christian Sewing said on Thursday. Sewing said at a financial conference that the deal-making business will be weaker in the second quarter than executives had initially thought at the start of 2025, but he added that deals were being delayed and not cancelled.

UK's Segro names Susanne Schroeter-Crossan as its new CFO
June 12 (Reuters) - Warehouse landlord Segro (SGRO.L), opens new tab on Thursday named Susanne Schroeter-Crossan as its new chief financial officer to succeed Soumen Das, who will step down from the role at the end of the year. Schroeter-Crossan, currently the CFO of Germany-based freight and logistics provider Sennder Technologies GmbH, is set to join Segro's board as an executive director on December 1. Under Das's eight-year tenure as finance chief, Segro's shares have risen over 55% in value. In April, the company reported strong increases in rent reviews and renewals in Britain during the first quarter.
