HRH-hand-me-downs! How young royals are raiding their very glamorous mothers' wardrobes - including Queen Letizia of Spain's teenage daughter stepping out in her summery dress
So it's no wonder that the young European royals of today are raiding their glamorous parent's wardrobes more and more.
From Queen Maxima and Princess Alexia of The Netherlands to the Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte, royal mothers and their daughters are increasingly sharing their clothes and accessorises.
Just last week, Princess Leonor of Spain, 19, stepped out in the Desigual x Stella Jean Ruffle midi dress that her mother Queen Letizia wore at an event back in 2023.
Days earlier, Princess Isabella of Denmark, 18, wore a colourful skirt that belonged to her mother Queen Mary - after wearing her mum's Chanel Lambskin Ballerinas that same week.
She is the latest of the very stylish European royals who have turned to the wardrobes of the older women in their families to find vintage pieces.
Several princesses have also borrowed from their relatives' closets for special occasions - including Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway, who for her 18th birthday donned a black number from Lanvin, which her mother Crown Princess Mette-Marit first wore in 2004 at the Nobel concert.
So, as these pictures show, royal hand-me-downs are increasingly common in an eco-conscious age...
PRINCESS ISABELLA AND QUEEN MARY OF DENMARK

Denmark's Queen Mary has been quoted saying her teenage daughters 'wouldn't be caught dead' in her clothes - however, it seems their tune may have changed as her eldest Isabella often sports outfits worn by her mother.
Most recently, on August 1, the 18-year-old wore a colourful skirt belonging to the Australian-born queen.
Isabella joined her family to watch a traditional changing of the guard ceremony at Gråsten Castle wearing a summery La DoubleJ Botanical-Print Midi Skirt.
Mary wore the same skirt in some summery snaps posted to Instagram from a family holiday in Gråsten back in 2020 - when Isabella was just 13 years old.
On July 28, Isabella stepped out in a pair of her mum's Chanel Lambskin Ballerinas in beige and black when they arrived in arrived in Gråsten for their summer holiday.
Not only has Mary worn the popular shoes on various occasions since 202, they have also been seen on the feet of other royals including Meghan Markle and Princess Beatrice.
Isabella has often been snapped in her mother's clothes, most notably at her 2022 confirmation where she donned Mary's Max Mara three-piece pantsuit.
The then-Crown Princess Mary wore the outfit in May 2017 during a visit to Stockholm, and again in May 2019 in South Korea.
She has even dipped into her daughter's wardrobe once too - wearing one of the princess's purple double-breasted coat by Dolce & Gabbana.
Spain's Princess Leonor looked radiant in the Desigual x Stella Jean Ruffle midi dress on August 5. Her mother Queen Letizia first wore the dress in 2023
Princess Leonor has been sporting a few of her mother Queen Letizia of Spain 's outfits and accessories during the royal family 's summer outings - and the latest is a chic, breezy designer piece.
The 19-year-old looked radiant in the Desigual x Stella Jean Ruffle midi dress at a traditional reception at Marivent Palace on the Balearic Islands on August 5 where the family spend their summer holidays.
The wife of King Felipe first wore the flowing blue and white patterned frock at the same event back in 2023.
Leonor opted for a more casual look a few day previous when she visited the Palma Yacht Club in Palma de Mallorca - and accessorised with one of her mother's favourite pair of earrings.
The princess wore a pair of CXC E0076 gold earrings donned by Letizia on numerous occasions.
Letizia opted for the simple gold earrings at the Spanish Red Cross Gold Medals and CaixaForum in 2022 as well as the opening of the first Casa del Libro bookshop in Madrid in 2023.
In April, Princess Ingrid Alexandra made a dazzling debut at her first state banquet in a sky blue ruffled gown Mette-Marit's wore to the Crown Princess donned for Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden's wedding in 2010
For her 18th birthday, the princess wore Mette-Marit's Lanvin Spring 2004 Black Silk Dress which her mother donned at a concert 21 years ago
Princess Ingrid Alexandra is a big fan of her mother's vintage wardrobe and has worn an array of her stunning designer gowns from the early 2000s in recent years.

That same year Ingrid Alexandra also took another leaf out of her mother's styling book opting for a purple Alberta Ferrtti gown Mette Marit wore in 2005.
Princess Eleanore looked ever-so-chic when she stepped out with her family to celebrate Belgium's National Day in July.
She paired her green Diane von Furstenberg dress with a sparkling set of emerald earrings belonging to her mother Queen Mathilde.
They proved as the perfect complement to her glamorous gown, as the young royal beamed while taking in the official military parade.
Princess Eleanore even seemed to channel her mother's hairdo with relaxed waves - tucked behind her ears to show the full glam of the stunning jewellery.
PRINCESS CHARLOTTE AND THE PRINCESS OF WALES
Young princess Charlotte isn't quite at the age where she is able to share clothes with her notoriously stylish mother, The Princess of Wales - but there have been signs she's already started raiding her closet.
On Father's Day, the family shared a sweet snap of Prince William with his three children Charlotte, 10, Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis, seven.
Eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice the princess wearing her mother's dark nay and green checked scarf.
Kate kept warm in the same scarf last December while at the Christmas Morning Service at Sandringham Church.
LADY LOUISE WINDSOR AND SOPHIE, DUCHESS OF EDINBURGH
During a visit to Birmingham in 2022 for the Commonwealth Games, Lady Louise wore a £985 Peter Pilotto gown from her mother's wardrobe and paired it with a pair of classic white trainers.
The number was first worn by the Duchess of Edinburgh, 58, to the Chelsea Flower Show in May 2015 in London.
For the 2019 Christmas Day service at St Mary Magdalene's Church at Sandringham, the 19-year-old wore a Stella McCartney coat owned by her mother.
The Marcelline checkered coat was worn by the then-Countess of Wessex on New Year's Eve to attend church on the Sandringham estate in 2017.
In the past, Lady Louise has too borrowed a classic monochrome dress by Alaïa for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding in 2018.
Sophie had also appeared in the same grey and white skater dress in 2016 at The Patron's Lunch, a celebration connected with Queen Elizabeth's 90th birthday.

PRINCESS ALEXANDRA OF HANOVER AND PRINCESS CAROLINE OF MONACO
Princess Alexandra of Hanover made headlines last year when she attended the Chanel Haute Couture spring/summer 2024 show, wearing a little black dress brimming with history.
The monochrome tweed mini had been worn by her mother, Princess Caroline of Monaco, back in 1990.
Originating from the autumn/winter 1990 couture collection, the frock incorporated a contrasting collar, scalloped stitching and double-breasted front, featuring buttons painted with a silhouette of Coco Chanel.
PRINCESS ESTELLE AND CROWN PRINCESS VICTORIA OF SWEDEN
Princess Estelle of Sweden, who is second in line to the Swedish throne, in 2023 stepped out wearing a green gown previously worn by her mother, Crown Princess Victoria.
The then 11-year-old wore the H&M Conscious Collection gown in green tulle, to Drottningholm Palace Theatre for a jubilee performance in honour of her maternal grandfather, King Carl XVI Gustaf.
The dress was an altered version of the same gown that her mother wore to the Swedish Chamber of Commerce gala dinner in June 2022 in Amsterdam. Estelle paired it with a suite of jewels set with diamonds and peridots along with metallic flats.
CROWN PRINCESS VICTORIA AND QUEEN SILVIA OF SWEDEN
Not only does Crown Princess Victoria hand down her dresses to her daughter, but she has raided her own mother's wardrobe in the past.
The 48-year-old wore a vintage Nina Ricci piece for the Nobel Prize banquet at City Hall in Stockholm in December 2018.
It was first seen on Queen Silvia, 81, at the 1995 Nobel Prize banquet event in Stockholm.
Another family ensemble for Victoria included a yellow outfit worn to a seminar in Stockholm in 2017, 39 years after her mother Silvia donned the same look during a visit to Moscow in June 1978.
The Crown Princess wore the striped yellow dress but decided not to include the matching hat seen when her mother wore.

PRINCESS ALEXIA AND QUEEN MAXIMA OF THE NETHERLANDS
Princess Alexia of the Netherlands proved she has inherited her mother Queen Máxima's sense of style as she carried out her first solo engagement two years ago.
The 20-year-old royal, who is second in line to the Dutch throne behind her sister Princess Catharina-Amalia, opted for an elegant navy midi dress as she launched the ship Vox Alexia in Rotterdam.
The Oscar de la Renta number featured cut-out details on the shoulders, a billowing skirt and white and blue ruffles along the long sleeves.
The dress was first worn by her mother, Maxima, 54, in June 2019 at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in The Hague, Netherlands.

Mafia: The Old Country Guide: 'Chapter 4 – Il Barone' Walkthrough & Collectibles
Mafia: The Old Country Guide: Chapter 4 – Il Barone Chapter 4 of Mafia: Old Country picks up in 1905. When you begin, head over and grab a horse from the stables. When you open the menu, scroll across to the Saddle options and choose Polio Tack to unlock the Achievement: Riding in Style. You don't have to stick with this Saddle and can switch it back if you wish, but this is one of the simpler trophies you can get almost immediately here. You can also choose to customize your Horse here with Dinari, granting extra Spurs or a different appearance entirely, but the default horse should suffice. Ride to the ruins with Isabella Back to top ↑ Once you're ready, ride with Isabella until you stop the first time. You'll need to help the boys out with their car, so approach the front and hit X to crank it for Gennaro until you're ready to move on again. The second stop with the priest you don't need to get off your horse. Eventually you'll come to a race section. Race with Isabella The race with Isabella is quite straightforward and the same tactics you used in chapter 2 will also work here too. Use Spurs during straight sections of the countryside to speed up, and cut the corners whenever you turn left or right. You don't gain anything by winning or losing (except bragging rights) but eventually you'll ride on together to the next area. Join Isabella on the overlook Back to top ↑ Eventually you'll reach the overlook with Isabella, where you'll be shown how to use the Camera. This is the first Photograph you'll get automatically and the tutorial will help show how to line up the shot just right. To get the right focus and exposure, you need to make sure the arrows turn Yellow. When you do, snap the photo for your journal. Ride to the ruins with Isabella When that's done, follow Isabella to the ruins where a cutscene will trigger. With Gennaro and Isabella off together, it's time to go for a ride with Luca. Just as you did before, crank the car again and we'll be back on our way. You'll now have a driving tutorial and will end up driving round the ruins twice. On the second circuit, you'll need to race back to the ruins for a shootout. Get to the temple Back to top ↑ The shootout here is relatively straightforward, but from here on out, it's a good idea to try and get as many headshots as you can for the Achievement: Cold-Blooded, which requires 30 headshot takedowns on enemies. The rifle is a great option for this. Work your way through the temple ruins but do note that if you hug the right side of the arena (from your starting position and the opposite side to the marked location) you'll find a workbench tucked under a large tarp which holds a Trinacria on (pictured below). After dispatching all the soldiers, head for the marked spot on your screen to trigger another cutscene and a chase sequence. Pursue the bandits Back to top ↑ Now you'll be driving with Enzo after Isabella and will need to shoot the kidnappers as they race away. Watch out for the parts of the road that are burned or columns destroyed as you drive. Eventually you'll come to a corner where you'll need to take a left turn and will find the yellow marker right in front of you. Don't brake at the corner and keep your finger pressed on the accelerator. As you descend the hill you'll do so at speed, and as you jump off the edge of the path into the air, you'll manage to go at enough speed to get some airtime and nab the Achievement: Daredevil for jumping the car over 40 meters. This chase sequence does go on for a while and after hopping aboard your horse, you'll need to chase after Isabella while on horseback. This is less about getting Isabella and more about taking out the pursuing attackers so keep going and don't fret if the wagon gets too far away. Keep using your spur on the straight sections of the path too and fire at the bandits as they get close on horseback. Eventually this section will trigger another cutscene. Find Gennaro Back to top ↑ When you take control of Enzo, Charm: Fantasma will be resting on the wall right in front of you. This dampens your footsteps and makes you harder to detect, and as stealth will serve you well in this first area, I'd recommend equipping it for the time being. You can go in all-guns blazing if you want, but as some levels require you to keep to stealth for Achievements, this is a great opportunity to test those skills out. From your starting position, descend down into the camp via the right path. Take out the guard in front of you after the second guard moves away, then keep crouched and continue moving toward the marker on the right. At this point there should be two guards patrolling back and forth. If you take either of these guys out, it's a good idea to move the bodies out of sight, preferably in the cave you originally entered into this area from. There's a blue box there you can stuff enemy soldiers inside. Hug the rock wall to your right and then circle around and enter the next cave. Follow the route with the orange torches, up the stairs, and stealthily take out any soldiers in your way until you climb some stairs. Keep following the torches and you'll come to a large cave with a ton of enemies inside. You can do this bit stealthily but it'll take a while. Alternatively, there's a rifle overlooking the top of an enemy camp that you can use to dispatch these guys. On one of the tables in the middle of the camp you'll find the Newspaper: Russo-Japanese War collectible (pictured above). This is also missable so you need to make sure you pick that up while you're here! Exit the cave and follow the path up. However, on the way you'll find an enemy soldier moving to the left and a path overlooking a beautiful view. You'll also find a Mystery Fox here, just to the right of the campfire. Regardless of if you've done the whole section stealthily or not, at the top of this path you'll need to attack the soldiers that arrive and take them out. Keep moving through the area and at the end of this path, you'll find Gennaro. However, just before interacting with him, be sure to check left of the campfire to grab the Charm: San Giuda pick-up. Find a way out of the camp Untie Gennaro and then follow the path all the way up to the marker. Hop over the fence and you'll have another fight on your hands. Knife Fight – Messina Back to top ↑ Messina is a tough cookie but the rules here are largely the same and don't differ too much from previous fights. Be patient, use parries wisely and counterattack when you can. Don't lunge in too aggressively and bide your time to hit him where it hurts. Eventually Messina will go down and it'll trigger another cutscene to end the chapter. For completing this section, you'll nab the Achievement: A Trip to the Coast.

Forbes 30 under 30 mogul refused to pay employees...then flaunted her new Chanel rollerblades moments later
A millennial business star is facing a host of accusations from former staff who say she denied them annual bonuses just minutes before boasting about her new $5,000 Chanel rollerblades and marble kitchen renovation. The damning claims are part of a sweeping Forbes investigation into the rise and apparent unraveling of the 30-year-old entrepreneur Daniella Pierson's media and marketing empire. 'She denied people on our team their annual bonuses, people that had worked really hard,' one former employee told Forbes. 'And then like five minutes later she was on Instagram posting all these stories of her new Chanel rollerblades and of the new marble kitchen she's installing in her SoHo apartment.' Once celebrated as a disruptor in women's media, Pierson launched her flagship newsletter from a Boston University dorm room in 2015. The hustle paid off and in 2020 she landed on Forbes' '30 Under 30' list, networked with celebrities like Selena Gomez and designer Diane von Furstenberg, and drew a $200 million valuation for her business without investors even reviewing the books. That valuation boosted Pierson's estimated personal net worth to $220 million. That valuation, according to Forbes, rested largely on a single 1.25% stake purchase by RXBar founder Peter Rahal, who admitted he didn't even look at the company's finances before investing. Former staff say she used the number relentlessly in pitches, claiming it proved she was running one of the fastest-growing media companies in America. But behind the glossy covers and inspirational speeches in its reporting Forbes says former colleagues and business records paint a different picture - one of exaggerated claims, inflated subscriber counts, and revenue figures that rarely matched the hype. 'It's all smoke and mirrors,' said one ex-employee to Forbes, describing a workplace where the leader's public persona clashed sharply with her private management style. In speaking with Forbes, four ex-staffers said no single sponsorship deal for the newsletter ever exceeded $1 million, despite her public claims that brands like Nike and Ulta were 'spending tens of millions on us per year.' The Forbes report alleges Pierson inflated subscriber numbers by double-counting readers across multiple products, claiming 1.3 million subscribers when internal records showed about 500,000 unique addresses. In a 2023 talk at Stanford posted online, Pierson even admitted creating fake email accounts in her early days to make the operation look bigger: 'I literally just faked it 'til I made it,' she said. Her second high-profile venture, a mental health startup co-founded with Gomez and Gomez's mother, ended with Pierson's ouster last year following clashes with her co-CEO. Meanwhile, revenue at her original company fell from a claimed $40 million in 2021 to under $4 million, according to four former employees, while the staff shrank to a quarter of the 15-person team at its peak. Throughout it all Pierson's social media presence never faltered as she continued to project an image of unbroken success Multiple ex-colleagues described Pierson as having an abrasive management style that clashed with her public image as a motivational champion of women, according to the Forbes report. 'There was definitely this culture of Danny having two personalities,' said one. 'One was online, and with us she was different.' Another added: 'I have never before in my life worked with someone who knew so little, but thought that she knew everything.' Even as major clients like Amazon and Mattel cut ties, Pierson continued to present the shuttered marketing arm as still being active in pitches, Forbes reported. Pierson appeared on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2020 For now, Pierson has rejected the mounting criticism, posting on Instagram that 'people who represent everything that my gender equality initiatives have fought to change have launched a smear campaign against me and my companies.' Pierson vowed: 'I will not allow anyone to get away with defiling the character of me and my companies with uninformed speculation and outright lies.' The same instinct for image-building appeared in a failed bid to join the board of Forbes itself where, according to multiple fundraising participants, her polarizing presence prompted some investors to walk away. Her mentor von Furstenberg told The New York Post she remains 'fond' of the young founder, but emphasized their relationship is 'more personal than business.' Peter Rahal, the RXBar founder whose early investment helped inflate her paper net worth, offered a terse endorsement when contacted by Forbes. 'Danielle is a great entrepreneur,' he said - misspelling her name. Months later, when she promoted her latest venture on LinkedIn, Rahal responded with nothing more than a clown emoji. For now, Pierson rejects the mounting criticism, posting a lengthy statement on Instagram. 'In the last 24 hours, people who represent everything that my gender equality initiatives have fought to change, have launched a smear campaign against me and my companies. 'The result has been an eagerness to spread false statements and fabricated information intended to discredit me and eliminate my ability to continue to put millions of my own dollars into helping women. They messed with the wrong person. 'These false statements don't just affect me - they affect the thousands of women who we fund, spotlight, or promote via my companies. 'I have dedicated my life to ensuring these women do not face the cruelty, abuse, and false accusations that have led me into the depths of depression. She vowed, 'I will not allow anyone to get away with defiling the character of me and my companies with uninformed speculation and outright lies. 'Those lies include claims about our revenue including that we did not make $40M in 2021, (which we absolutely did), lies meant to discredit my Chasm organization - that is on track to give away free resources and grants for female entrepreneurs worth millions in value, and absurd statements from a "named trusted source" who I have never even met in person or interacted with,' she continued. 'This has inspired me to take action to help others who find themselves under attack from false claims as I continue the important work of removing barriers for female founders.'

How David Moyes will relight a fire in Jack Grealish: Everton boss' persuasive tricks, why England star snubbed Napoli and Atletico Madrid and the 'big dream'
The best stories involve late night private jets and this one illustrates the lengths to which David Moyes will go to gather a jewel. Jack Grealish will appreciate today how Marouane Fellaini once felt, back in the summer of 2008, and it makes sense here to underline a manager's ambition for a club and the powerful way he can speak to convince a player to work with him, when other destinations may seem more likely.
