The wet conditions are expected to persist on Tuesday, July 23, with the mercury hovering between 25°C and 28.7°C. From Wednesday, July 24, weather conditions will likely improve, with drier skies and a temperature rise to 36.8°C.
Thursday, July 25, may turn out to be a warmer day, possibly reaching 37.7°C, with some chance of rain in the evening. The heaviest showers of the week are predicted for Monday and Tuesday, offering a brief break from the summer heat.

Orange alert: Heavy rain & high waves for Goa
Panaji: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for July 22, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated parts of North and South Goa. The IMD also forecasted moderate to heavy spells of rain and strong winds reaching speeds of 40-50kmph, gusting up to 60kmph in inland areas and along the coast. Fishermen have been strongly advised not to venture into the sea, particularly along and off the South Maharashtra-Goa coasts, until July 25. The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) has issued a high wave alert for the Goan coast. From Chapora to Panaji (Malim) in North Goa, and from Santarem Point (Vasco) to Kolamb in South Goa, rough sea conditions with waves up to 3.5m height are expected. The alert remains valid until 8:30 p.m. on July 23. INCOIS has advised caution during marine operations or recreational activity near shorelines. As monsoon clouds gathered on Monday, downpours brought 52.6mm of rainfall to Panaji and 55mm of rainfall to Mopa from 8.30am to 5.30pm. As of this date, Goa has recorded 65 inches of total rainfall since June 1.

New Delhi, Jul 21 (PTI) Clouds covered the national capital on Monday evening, with parts of the city receiving rain, officials said. A yellow alert has been issued for the next few hours, indicating a 'be aware' warning under the IMD's colour-coded alert system. In its latest nowcast, the weather department said light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, is very likely in a few areas of Delhi in the coming hours. Earlier in the day, under a cloudy morning sky, the city recorded a minimum temperature of 27.2 degrees Celsius. The humidity at 8.30 am stood at 83 per cent. Meanwhile, the air quality in the city was recorded in the 'satisfactory" category, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 77 at 9 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good", 51 and 100 'satisfactory", 101 and 200 'moderate", 201 and 300 'poor", 301 and 400 'very poor", and 401 to 500 'severe".
