However, everything hangs in the balance after Inter's embarrassing performance in the Champions League final.
Inter Milan & Simone Inzaghi Set to Discuss Four Key Points at Crunch Meeting
MUNICH, GERMANY – MAY 31: Simone Inzaghi, Head Coach of FC Internazionale, looks dejected as he walks past the UEFA Champions League trophy after collecting his runners up medal after defeat to Paris Saint-Germain during the UEFA Champions League Final 2025 between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Internazionale Milano at Munich Football Arena on May 31, 2025 in Munich, Germany. Even if convinced, Inzaghi will reportedly demand assurances from Inter to continue his career at Giuseppe Meazza.
To begin with, the ex-Lazio boss was not happy with the team's athletic preparation in 2024/25.

Indeed, fatigue significantly derailed Inter's season, leaving Inzaghi genuinely concerned about the team's condition.
Then, there's a well-documented issue with Serie A referees.
He often felt Inter were on the receiving end of unfair decisions throughout the season.
Furthermore, Inzaghi believes the club has not always protected him enough after being targeted by the local media.
Last but not least, there's an inevitable market discussion.
Inter must inject fresh blood into their aging squad.

How to watch France vs Spain live: Stream link, TV channel, team news, prediction
A place in the UEFA Nations League final is on the line on Thursday (3 pm ET) when France and Spain, winners of the last two Nations League titles, clash in semifinal no. 2 in Stuttgart, Germany. MORE — 2026 World Cup qualifying hub | Premier League prize money list The winner will face Portugal, the only other nation with a Nations League trophy to their name, in the final at Allianz Arena in Munich on Sunday (2:45 pm ET). Cristiano Ronaldo scored the 68th-minute winner as Portugal came back from a goal behind to beat Germany in Munich on Wednesday. Portugal won the inaugural UEFA Nations League in 2019, followed by France in 2021 and Spain in 2023. As many as six recently crowned European (club) champions could see the field on Thursday, with five Paris Saint-Germain players in Didier Deschamps' France squad and one, Fabian Ruiz, expected to start for Spain. The last six days, since PSG thrashed Inter Milan in the final on Saturday and paraded the Champions League trophy from the Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe on Sunday, must have been an incredible whirlwind for the likes of Ousmane Dembele, birthday boy (on Tuesday) Desire Doue and Bradley Barcola — now likely to be used as second-half substitutes in another European semifinal. Even more interesting is the situation surrounding Lucas Hernandez, who started just four of 14 games for PSG from April onward but could be thrust into the starting XI against Spain with William Saliba not in the squad due to a hamstring injury. Hernandez played just 372 of 1,260 minutes down the stretch and only came on in the final once PSG were 4-0 ahead, now he's going to find himself one-on-one with 17-year-old future (current?) best player in the world Lamine Yamal, who was downright brilliant in the Champions League knockouts for Barcelona and put up 18 goals, 16 assists in all competitions — again, at the age of 17. How to watch France vs Spain live, stream link and start time Kick off time: 3 pm ET Thursday (June 5) Venue: MHPArena — Stuttgart, Germany How to watch, TV channel: FS1 France team news, focus OUT: William Saliba (hamstring - not in squad), Jules Kounde (hamstring - not in squad), Eduardo Camavinga (knee - not in squad) Spain team news, focus OUT: Rodri (knee - not in squad), Ferran Torres (appendicitis - not in squad), Dani Carvajal (torn ACL - not in squad), Aymeric Laporte (not in squad), Pau Torres (not in squad) France vs Spain prediction France will struggle with the athleticism and pressure of Spain's midfield, which could spell a long day for the unfamiliar partnership of Hernandez and Ibrahima Konate. Former home of much-loved restaurant 'under offer' months after shock closure
The former home of a much-loved Italian restaurant in Yarm is now 'under offer'. Earlier this year, family-run firm Santoro's shocked diners by announcing it would be closing the doors to its popular high street restaurant for good. The news came just months after bosses marked 45 years in business - and shortly after the closure, the unit was put on the rental market with a £40,000 a year price tag. It has now been revealed that the 'rare opportunity' restaurant is 'under offer', according to agent Thomas:Stevenson. As previously reported, the closure of Santoro's was met with shock from Yarm residents, with the reasoning behind the decision never given. At the time, one person said: 'So sad to see this. We have had many, many wonderful meals, fabulous evenings, lunches and family celebrations in Santoro's.' Another added: 'Thank you for all the wonderful meals over the years. Santoro's has always been our special occasion restaurant of choice. 'We were always well looked after by the team and by several generations of the Serino family.' Since the closure in February, the restaurant has remained closed, with blindfolds down and the front door shut. The sign initially confirming the closure was then taken down. The Santoro's website still states its goodbye message: 'After a wonderful 45 years of business, we have decided to permanently close our doors. 'We'd like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone that has supported us over the years.' Before that, it operated as a Chinese restaurant for 20 years. His son Ricci and grandsons, Mikey and Joe, continued the good reputation of the restaurant following Vincenzo's passing.

EDITORIAL: A gold medal win for women
The bizarre tale of Olympic boxer Imane Khelif underscores the desperate need for elite sport bodies to establish clear standards on who can compete as a woman. There was an uproar in last summer's Olympic Games when it was revealed that Khelif was competing as a woman, even though there were rumours that a 2023 medical report from the World Championships showed the boxer had male chromosomes. This week, that report was leaked and the rumours were confirmed. In the Olympic welterweight bout, Khelif took on Italian Angela Carini. The match lasted 46 seconds. Carini took two powerful blows to the head. One dislodged her chinstrap; the second smashed her face. She withdrew from the match, saying, 'this is unjust.' The International Olympic Committee dismissed claims it was unfair, pointing out Khelif identified as a woman on her passport. Those who suggested it's not just unfair but dangerous for a man to take on a woman in boxing, a sport in which physical power is a determining force, were ridiculed and labelled homophobic. People like Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling and media personality Piers Morgan were subjected to a bitter campaign of cancel culture for stating the obvious: That men don't belong in women's sport. This week, Rowling took to X to acknowledge the leak of the 2023 medical report that confirmed what many had suspected. 'A win for women because they won't be battered to death in the ring by men,' Rowling said. This is not about transgenderism. Everyone has the right to live their life in the manner in which they see fit, in whatever gender they choose. The problem arises when the increasing number of trans women, many of whom have intact male genitalia, show up in elite sports to compete against biological women. World Aquatics, the body that governs swimming, has developed a sensible solution. Trans women who went through puberty as a male cannot compete with biological women but can take part in an 'open' category for people of all genders. With the Olympics on the horizon in 2028, bodies governing elite sports must establish fair and firm rules. If they fail to do so, they will destroy competitive sports for biological women and turn it into a farce. And Khelif should return the gold medal. Did controversial boxer Imane Khelif know about being biologically 'male' at Olympics? J.K.
