Manchester City name Denmark Women boss Andree Jeglertz as their new head coach
Former City head coach Nick Cushing stepped in on an interim basis after Taylor departed five days before the club's League Cup final defeat to Chelsea.
We are delighted to confirm that Andrée Jeglertz has agreed to become the new Head Coach of Manchester City Women.
The 53-year-old Swedish coach and former professional player will join the Club from the Denmark women's national football team after this summer's Euros.

Director of football for City's women's team, Therese Sjogran, said: 'Andree brings a wealth of experience at the top of the game as well as a real hunger to drive Manchester City forward.'
Sjogran added: 'Andree really impressed us with his attitude and ambition, and the way he sees the game aligns perfectly with our own vision.
'We wish him luck at the Euros this summer with Denmark and are all very excited to see what impact he can make in our bright future.'
Former Malmo defender Jeglertz has an extensive CV. He won the UEFA Women's Cup – later the Champions League – with Swedish side Umea in 2004 and led them to successive finals in 2007 and 2008.
After a spell in men's football with Djurgardens in 2009, Jeglertz spent six years in charge of Finland Women until 2016 before a brief return to Umea was followed by a two-year stint in charge of Linkopings.
He was appointed Denmark's head coach after the 2023 World Cup and led them to this summer's Euros after they finished second behind world champions Spain in qualifying.
Jeglertz said: 'Manchester City are one of the biggest clubs in the world. There is so much talent in this group.
'One of my key things is to continue the job that's been done and take it to the next level.
'We would like to win, develop players and want the players every day to become better.
'I will do everything I can to take this to the next level and make sure we can play attractive and winning football.'

Phil Parkinson hails Wrexham's ‘statement of intent' with Callum Doyle signing
Doyle, who joins in a deal the PA news agency understands to be worth £7.5million, is Wrexham's 10th permanent signing since promotion and follows last week's club-record £10m purchase of Nathan Broadhead from Ipswich. The 21-year-old has signed a contract until 2029, with City holding a buy-back option and inserting a 25 per cent sell-on clause. A fresh pour of bold. 'Always difficult deals to get because there's a player in demand. We've had to compete with some really good clubs to bring him here. 'He's only 21, he's got a lot of Championship experience, an England Under-21 international. I think he's a player of huge potential. 'This hasn't broken the transfer record. It's in line with other transfers we've made already this summer. The Welsh side host the embattled Owls on Saturday afternoon having suffered a late 2-1 defeat in their opener at Southampton before falling to a 3-2 home loss to West Brom. Wednesday are having to balance off-field issues and Parkinson, who was manager of Bolton during some dark times, hopes they soon return to a sounder footing. 'You feel for the supporters of any club because football clubs are such a part of the community,' the Wrexham boss said. 'We know Sheffield (Wednesday), what pride they've got in that city, and the competition they have with United, et cetera. 'Everybody in football, we're all football people, understands that along the way that there are going to be clubs nearly every year who are in difficult situations, and it's important for the football community and world to support those clubs.'

Wrexham sign Man City youngster Callum Doyle
Wrexham have completed the signing of Manchester City defender Callum Doyle in a move that takes their summer spending past £30m as they look to secure their position in the Championship. The 21-year-old becomes Phil Parkinson 's 10th summer signing while City continue to trim their squad and bring in money by selling youth-team products. Centre-back Doyle is the second biggest buy in Wrexham's history, after Nathan Broadhead joined from Ipswich last week, in costing an initial £7.5m. Included in the deal is a buyback clause for City as well as a 25% sell-on clause should Wrexham decide to part ways with Doyle in the future. Wrexham had already broken their club record this summer to sign first Liberato Cacace and then Lewis O'Brien while they have also bought Conor Coady, Kieffer Moore, Ryan Hardie and George Thomason, besides bringing in Josh Windass and Danny Ward on free transfers. They've started the season with narrow back-to-back defeats but have shown enough promise to improve as the year goes on. On Doyle's signing, Parkinson said: 'We're delighted to welcome Callum to the Club. He's a talented young player with a lot of Championship experience. We're looking forward to him joining up with the squad and working with him.' England Under-21 international Doyle has never made a first-team appearance for City but has had four loan spells, playing for Sunderland in League One in 2021-22 and then Coventry, Leicester City and Norwich City in the Championship. He won promotions with Sunderland and Leicester and reached the play-off final with Coventry. On signing for Wrexham, he said: 'I'm buzzing to join the Club. I've been wanting a permanent move for some time now and I can't wait to get started. 'I've been interested in the Club from afar and kept a close eye on the journey and now I'm excited to be a part of it.' After going up in each of the last three seasons, Wrexham have lost both of their matches in the Championship, conceding five goals, as well as three in the Carabao Cup to Hull. Doyle's departure will follow James McAtee's £30m move to Nottingham Forest, while City have also sold other young players, in Jacob Wright, Maximo Perrone and Farid Alpha-Ruprecht. In addition, one of Pep Guardiola's summer signings, Sverre Nypan, has joined Middlesbrough on a season-long loan. The 18-year-old Norwegian midfielder joined for £12.5m, but City's plan was always to loan him out to gain first-team experience.
