A TEENAGE boy has been arrested by police on suspicion of terrorism offences.
Cops today carried out searches at addresses in Perranporth and Redruth in Cornwall in connection with the investigation.

Multiple police vehicles were seen in the area of East Pool Park, Redruth this morning, according to witnesses.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said a 16-year-old boy from Perranporth was arrested on suspicion of suspicion of dissemination of terrorist publications contrary to Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006. .
He has been remanded in police custody.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Officers from Counter Terrorism Policing South West (CTPSW) have today arrested a young male on suspicion of terrorism offences in the Cornwall area.
"The 16-year-old from Perranporth was arrested on suspicion of dissemination of terrorist publications contrary to Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
"A number of searches are being conducted at addresses within the local area of Perranporth and Redruth in relation to this investigation.
"A young male remains in police custody at this time."

The alarm was raised on Wednesday evening when she failed to return a motor boat she hired earlier that day. One was mobilised from Ibiza, while the other combed the coastline off Formentera - the smallest of the inhabited Balearic Islands. Civil Guard officers are also understood to be conducting a land search. The search was expected to continue first thing this morning, but officials could not immediately be reached for comment. The missing Brit is reported to have hired a boat and left for "a quick boat ride" from Formentera port La Salina in on Wednesday afternoon. The rental firm is understood to have taken part in yesterday's search. Messages have been sent to other mariners in the area to provide descriptions of the vessel. Funeral of East Kilbride teenager Kayden Moy to be held this week

Kayden Moy passed away after being found seriously injured at Irvine Beach on May 17. The 16-year-old's former football team, Busby Athletic Football Club (AFC), paid tribute to a 'talented young man' as they shared his funeral details. The funeral will take place at Linn Crematorium in Glasgow's Southside at 10am on Friday, June 20. Kayden's family, friends, and members of the Busby AFC community are invited to attend. From there, the youngsters' loved ones will then go on to Philipshill Cemetery in East Kilbride. Police Scotland confirmed two 17-year-old boys had been arrested and charged in connection, and a 14-year-old boy had also been arrested as part of their ongoing investigation. It came after officers were called to Irvine Beach in Ayrshire at around 6.45pm on Saturday, May 17, following reports that a 16-year-old boy had been found seriously injured. Emergency services rushed to the scene, and Kayden was taken to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock, where he died a short time later.
