No. 72
Who's wearing it now: T Gottlieb Ayedze
Ayedze is a first-year player out of Maryland. He was originally signed by the Philadelphia Eagles last year as an undrafted free agent. He didn't make the roster out of camp and the Raiders signed him to the practice squad. They brought him back on a reserve future contract following the season.
Who wore it best: TIE C Don Mosebar, RT Lincoln Kennedy
I have looked at this as many ways as I can and keep coming back to the same conclusion. I simply can't choose one over the other. Both were great players at their respective positions for a long time and both deserve recognition.
Mosebar spent his entire 12-year career in Silver & Black, becoming the third great center in franchise history after Jim Otto and Dave Dalby. He got his ring as a rookie sitting behind Dalby and then took the baton and locked down the center position for a decade, making three Pro Bowls along the way.
Kennedy came to the Raiders after the Falcons had given up on the former ninth overall pick. He immediately became the Raiders' starting right tackle and never let go. For the next eight years, he was there. This included the entirety of the franchise's last successful era of the early 2000s in which he went to the Pro Bowl three straight times, was an All Pro first teamer once and the All Pro second team once as well.
Honorable Mention: DE John Matuszak
When Tooz is third in line, you know the 72 is quite the legendary number for the Raiders. The Tooz spent six seasons with the Raiders, helping the team win their first two Super Bowls. He also had quite a successful acting career including the iconic role of Sloth in Goonies.

SOPA Images A post that went up on our Instagram earlier this month sparked a bit of controversy in the comments (seen below) when we declared the month of June as an intersection between Black Music Month, Juneteenth, Caribbean Heritage Month and Pride Month. Of course, the issue came down to the latter's inclusion as some still fail to believe that Black culture can be connected to the LGBTQIA movement — yes, homophobia on various levels unfortunately still exists within our community. However, on the eve of commemorating the Stonewall Riots Anniversary (June 28) that sparked Pride Month altogether, we wanted to take a brief look at the Black drag queen that pioneered the movement from its violent inception to marching in the very first Pride Day Parade: the late Marsha P. A Black transgender woman and revolutionary figure in LGBTQ+ history, Johnson's contributions transcend time, inspiring generations to fight for equality. Marsha played a pivotal role in the Stonewall Riots of 1969, a watershed moment for LGBTQ+ rights. Her presence at the uprising—widely regarded as the spark that ignited modern Pride movements—was marked by defiance and solidarity. At a time when queer individuals were criminalized and marginalized, Johnson stood on the frontline, embodying the fight against systemic oppression. Her courage underpinned a broader struggle for freedom, reminding the world that Black queer voices are an integral part of social progress. Beyond Stonewall, Johnson co-founded the Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries (STAR) alongside Sylvia Rivera. This organization provided shelter and support to homeless LGBTQ+ youth, particularly trans people of color. NFL head coach rankings: Sean McVay clearly best of NFC West
PFN ranked NFL head coaches. We look at where the four NFC West coaches stack up. NFL training camps begin at the end of next month and the NFL season is still more than two months away, which means we have lots of time to rank players, positions, coaches, and we can create lists and projections. Pro Football Network ranked all 32 head coaches entering 2025. While have seen Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon's overall ranking, how does he compare to the rest of the NFC West? Below are the rankings of the four head coaches in the division. NFL head coach rankings: NFC West Analysis Having McVay and Shanahan as No. 1 and No. 2 make sense. They have both made two Super Bowls, although McVay has a title. McVay has six playoff appearances and four division titles. Shanahan has four playoff appearances and three division titles. The ranking for Macdonald and Gannon are more interesting. Macdonald had a 10-win Seahawks team in his first season. Gannon is 12-22 in two years but has the Cardinals in a much better spot than when he was hired. Macdonald's Seahawks also swept Gannon's Cardinals in 2024, so it makes sense to rank them that way. Can Gannon overtake Macdonald in 2025? That's what we will wait on. The other rankings won't change.
