TORONTO, Aug. 19, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Mount Logan Capital Inc. (Cboe Canada: MLC) ('Mount Logan' or the 'Company') announced today that, further to the joint news release of the Company and 180 Degree Capital Corp. ('180 Degree Capital') on August 18, 2025 announcing revised terms of the proposed business combination to combine Mount Logan and 180 Degree Capital under a new publicly traded company ('New Mount Logan') to be listed on Nasdaq (the 'Business Combination'), Mount Logan has filed with the securities regulatory authorities in Canada a supplement (the 'Supplement') to its management information circular dated July 11, 2025 (the 'Information Circular'). The Information Circular was prepared in connection with a special meeting of shareholders of the Company to be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) via live audio webcast and called for the purpose of considering and voting in respect of the various resolutions necessary to complete the Business Combination (the 'Meeting'). The Information Circular forms part of the joint proxy statement/prospectus of Mount Logan, 180 Degree Capital and Yukon New Parent, Inc. dated July 11, 2025.
Given the limited amount of time between the date of the Supplement and the date of the Meeting, the Company has determined to extend the requirement to deliver proxies in connection with the Meeting from 10:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) on August 20, 2025, to 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on August 21, 2025.

(the "Company" or "Horizon") (TSXV: HPL) is pleased to announce that it has delivered an Amended and Restated Undertaking (the " Amended Undertaking") to the Executive Director of the Alberta Securities Commission (" ASC") in connection with the Company's final short form base shelf prospectus dated May 22, 2025 (the " Base Shelf Prospectus"). The Amended Undertaking replaces and supersedes the undertaking originally provided on April 29, 2025. The amendment was requested by Horizon to accommodate closing of its previously announced offering led by Haywood Securities Inc. Canada's main stock index ended trading on a positive note Wednesday, as investors turned their attention to the upcoming annual symposium hosted by the US Federal Reserve, hoping for clues about future monetary policy. Within the TSX, energy stocks led the gains, while industrials, mining, and technology shares saw the steepest losses. In the US, stock markets showed mixed performance. The NASDAQ fell sharply, weighed down by a broad-based decline in tech stocks for the second consecutive day. Investors also digested a varied set of retail earnings reports and awaited the release of the Federal Reserve's latest meeting minutes. The Canadian dollar traded for 72.05 cents US compared to 72.16 cents US on Tuesday. US crude futures traded $0.79 higher at US$63.14 a barrel, and the Brent contract rose US$1.23 to US$67.02 a barrel. The price of gold was up US$33.21 to US$3,348.82. In world markets, the Nikkei was down 657.74 points to ¥42,888.55, the Hang Seng was up 43.04 points to HK$25,165.94, the FTSE was up 98.92 points to ₤9,288.14, and the DAX was down 146.10 points to €24,276.97.
