Harassed For Days On Her Way To School, Student Publicly Beats Up E-Rickshaw Driver In Unnao
After being allegedly harassed by a man for days, a school student from Unnao in Uttar Pradesh took a stand and publicly beat him up. A video of the incident has gone viral, drawing praise from the internet for her courage.
Police have detained the man under preventive action but the girl did not lodge a formal complaint. In the video, the girl can be seen slapping and hitting the accused with slippers, all the while abusing him. At one point in the video, she is even holding a stone in her hand as she confronts him on a busy street.

According to the police, the incident took place in the Poni Road locality in Unnao. As she thrashes the man holding his collar, a crowd gathers around them. He was later handed over to the police.
Police have identified the man as a water-supply e-rickshaw driver, who is a resident of Brahmanagar in Gangaghat. Reports said the girl was allegedly being harassed for days while on her way to school and even warned the accused to stop. Fed up, she finally confronted him and beat him up in the middle of the road.
Police said the girl did not file an FIR against the man, due to which he was booked under Section 151 (prevention of breach of peace) of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) and a challan was issued to him.

JAMMU: A special NIA court in Jammu framed charges against three Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI), J&K, operatives and a trust on Tuesday, for allegedly raising and utilising funds to further the activities of the proscribed outfit in violation of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), 1967. The accused are Amir Mohammad Shamsi from Rajouri's Rehtal; Abdul Hamid Ganai (alias Abdul Hamid Fayaz) from Shopian's Nadigam, and Pakistan-based Mushtaq Ahmad Mir (alias Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar) from Rajouri's Darhal. Special NIA judge Sandeep Gandotra noted that while disclosure statements recorded before executive magistrates were inadmissible, independent evidence — including statements of trustees and local donors under CrPC Section 164 — substantiated the prosecution's case. The court held that cumulative evidence, including trust deeds, money transfers, and corroborative witness testimonies, justified the framing of charges under IPC Section 120B (criminal conspiracy) and UAPA Sections 10, 13, 20, 22C, 38, and 39. Cops return 347 stolen mobile phones to their owners

Car thief involved in 70 cases arrested
Agency: PTI Last Updated: Mumbai, Aug 6 (PTI) Mumbai Police arrested a 35-year-old man, allegedly involved in more than 70 cases of stealing cars and accessories registered against him in Gujarat and Maharashtra, an official said on Wednesday. The accused is identified as Junaid Yunus Shaikh alias Bambaiyya, a resident of Khar. His interrogation in connection with a car theft case in Wadala revealed his criminal past, officials added. Shaikh was involved in more than 70 cases of stealing cars and accessories registered against him in Gujarat and Maharashtra. Police had examined the footage of over 150 CCTV cameras installed in Wadala to identify the accused who had stolen a Honda City car parked at Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Marg.
