Currently enjoying an overseas jaunt, comedian Anthony 'Lehmo' Lehmann's holiday has been interrupted by an alarming medical emergency.
The 55-year-old shared on Monday that he had been sent by doctors to hospital during a stopover in Milan, Italy, with a case of acute appendicitis.
Lehmann later posted a cheerful selfie in which the Triple M favourite could be seen showing off a peace sign while he posed in a smock in what appears to be a treatment centre.
Pictured without a shirt, ultra sound monitors could be sign fixed on his chest.
'Did not have this on the original travel itinerary!' the star of ABC's Utopia joked in the caption and added, 'On the upside, the emergency ward is the one place I've seen no other tourists!'
From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop.
He also created his own humorous 'news story' for his Instagram health update.
'Headline: I'm doing the okay!' he began.
He continued, 'Sub headline: Karma arrives on a freight train after Lehmo complains about prices in Venice!!
'Story: Severe stomach pain started two days ago and was getting worse. Arrived in Milan and got a doctor to the hotel room.
'He sent me to emergency with my passport and a note from him. Arrived at emergency at 4:30pm.
He later explained that only two and hours later doctors had diagnosed his symptoms as acute appendicitis at 8pm.
Lehmann received surgery later night, in which doctors removed his appendix.
'It's now 4:30am and I'll be here for at least today. I'm feeling a little sore and but generally good,' he said.
'I have received extraordinary care here in Milan! Despite the language barrier, every single health care professional I've dealt with has had a smile on their face, filled me with confidence and done an incredible job. Grazie Italy.'
Lehmann, who has been a regular guest panelist on network comedy shows, like Have You Been Paying Attention?, is know for his cheeky outbursts.
And back in 2017 he shocked hosts of The Project when he declared he 'loved' Donald Trump.
Up until then Lehmann has been a vocal critic of Donald Trump during and after the businessman's successful campaign to become the President of America.
Much to the amusement of Waleed Aly, Dylan Alcott and Gorgi Coghlan, Anthony's shock statement was a slip of the tongue - protesting that he meant to say he loved Alec Baldwin's impression of the now-President.
He said: 'I love Donald Trump. Sorry, Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump.'
Best known for his stints as a radio celebrity hosting on Melbourne's Gold and ABC Sports, Lehmann won fans for his portrayal as a slippery political flack in the popular Working Dog comedy Utopia.

Ex-Man United boss Erik ten Hag meets Robbie Williams after attending the popstar's gig in Amsterdam as he enjoys his summer before starting work at Bayer Leverkusen

Former Man United boss Erik ten Hag reunited with Robbie Williams after attending the popstar's latest gig in Amsterdam. Ten Hag was back at the Johan Cruyff ArenA on Sunday night, the venue he had called home as manager of Ajax from 2018 to 2022. The stadium had been the latest stop on Williams' Britpop tour across Europe, with Ten Hag among the attendees. Ten Hag met Williams backstage following the gig, with the singer sharing a photo of them on Instagram. 'Two incredible nights in Amsterdam… that was fun. All the love, Rob,' Williams posted with nine images from his stop in the Netherlands. Accompanying the picture with Ten Hag, Williams also showed where his football loyalties lie by posing next to a banner in honour of his local club Port Vale, which read 'The Valiants, Port Vale, Est. 1876'. It was not the first time Ten Hag had come across Williams, with the 'Angles' singer having previously visited Man United during the Dutchman's time as manager. Williams had been given a tour of Man United's Carrington training ground in 2022 by Harry Maguire. The defender, who is friends with Williams, also organised for the star to meet members of the squad during their pre-season tour in Los Angeles last summer. Ten Hag is joining some final time off before returning to management, after being sacked by Man United last season. He was dismissed from Old Trafford in October with Man United lying 14th in the Premier League after winning just four of their opening 14 matches. His departure came despite the club triggering a one-year contract extension last summer. Ten Hag's extension followed him leading the club to the FA Cup, having also won the Carabao Cup in his first full season in charge. He was appointed as manager of Bayer Leverkusen on a two-year deal last month, with the Dutchman succeeding Xabi Alonso as boss after his move to Real Madrid.

Why Cities Flood review — a sober look at the growing dangers of water

It's a case of how you take your disaster documentaries. A sober BBC1 film recounting the devastating flash floods in Valencia last year set in a wider picture of climate change? Or a jaunty Netflix film, out the same day, recounting a cruise ship with no power, no loos and 4,000 passengers needing the lavatory? One of these films is likely to become a watercooler hit on social media. I think we can guess which. But while the latter, titled Trainwreck: Poop Cruise, is hardly short of its horrors, Why Cities Flood: Spain's Deadly Disaster was something with troubling things for all of us to consider, and harrowing in a more tragic sense altogether.

Eva Longoria, 50, is every inch the doting mother as she spends quality time with her son Santiago, 7, on the beach in Marbella

Eva Longoria looked every inch the doting mother as she spent quality time with her son, Santiago Enrique Bastón, during a beach outing in Marbella on Monday. The American actress, 50, cut a laid-back figure in a white crop top as she and her family enjoyed some downtime to mark Saint John's Eve (Noche de San Juan). The Spanish festival, which celebrates the summer solstice, is known for its fiery traditions - including beach bonfires, fire-jumping, and midnight swims. Showing off her toned tummy, Eva paired her white crop top with low-rise, beige baggy trousers for a relaxed yet stylish look. Meanwhile, her son Santiago, seven, looked adorable in a white polo top and shorts as he larked around on the beach. Eva welcomed her son with her husband, José Antonio Bastón, on June 19, 2018. The former Desperate Housewives star married the businessman, who is also a father to three other children from his first marriage, in 2016. Earlier this month, Eva slammed 'un-American' ICE deportations that have led to riots in Los Angeles as she spoke from France, where she was shooting for a TV show. The city imposed a curfew across its riot-ravaged downtown in an effort to end pro-migrant protests, which gripped the city for five days. From 8pm Tuesday 10th through to 6am Wednesday 11th, swathes of the city were under a strict lockdown as officers fought to regain control and stamp out widespread violence and destruction. She spoke about the issue to her 10.6million Instagram followers in an extended clip earlier this month, admitting that while she was not physically in Los Angeles, her heart was with everyone impacted by the ongoing events. Eva - who played the role of Gabrielle Solis on 180 episodes of the popular ABC series Desperate Housewives from 2004–2012 - said the events were 'hard to witness from afar.' 'I can't imagine what it's like to be in Los Angeles right now,' she shared. 'I can't believe it's happening in Austin, Texas. I can't believe it's happening all over the country. 'And the comments and people's reactions to it is really so surprising to me because it is un-American.' The Mexican-American star said she was in a state of shock watching the events unfold, saying it went against the basic tenets America's forefathers laid out. 'We all can agree nobody wants criminals in our country, nobody wants rapists, nobody wants drug dealers, nobody wants bad actors in our country - that's not what's happening,' said the Golden Globe-nominated actress. Eva said that President Donald Trump was overreaching in his actions and had not stayed true to his campaign promise to deport only criminals. 'These roundups are happening in birthday parties, in elementary graduations, Home Depots - those are not criminals,' she added.
