"Percy Jackson and the Olympians" Renewed for Season 3 Ahead of Season 2 Premiere
'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' has been renewed for Season 3 at Disney+ nearly a year before the series' second season premiere.
Disney Branded Television and 20th Television have announced that a third season, based on the Rick Riordan novel 'The Titan's Curse,' is already in the works, with Season 2 of the hit show now set to debut in December 2025. An exact premiere date will be announced in the future.
The second season of 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn and Daniel Diemer. Production recently wrapped in Vancouver.
The news is not altogether surprising, given how well Season 1 of 'Percy Jackson' did on Disney+.
According to Nielsen streaming data, the show was among the top five most-watched original shows across all of streaming when it debuted in December 2023.
Disney had also previously reported that the first episode drew 13.3 million views in its first six days on Disney+ and Hulu, with a view defined as total time watched divided by runtime.
Created by Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, Season 2 of 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' is executive produced by Steinberg and Dan Shotz alongside Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Craig Silverstein, The Gotham Group's Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Bert Salke, The Gotham Group's Jeremy Bell and D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Jason Ensler and Sarah Watson. 20th Television is the studio.

Is "Moon Knight" Season 2 Happening? Here's What We Know
Yara Sameh The possibility of "Moon Knight" season 2 gets addressed by the Marvel Cinematic Universe TV showrunner. Developed for the MCU by Jeremy Slater, "Moon Knight" stars Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector/Moon Knight and Steven Grant/Mr. Knight, two alters of a man with dissociative identity disorder, they are drawn into a mystery involving Egyptian gods. May Calamaway, F. Murray Abraham, and Ethan Hawke round out the ensemble of the show's first season, which ended with the cliffhanger introduction of a third alter, Jack Lockey. Despite Moon Knight Season 1 ending with a cliffhanger mid-credits scene, Marvel Studios and Disney+ have not yet ordered a follow-up season. In a new interview with ComicBook , Slater was asked what needs to happen for season 2 to become a reality on Disney+. The showrunner made it clear that, as much as he hopes to see Isaac back as the titular hero, two people can make Moon Knight season 2 happen: "Talk to Kevin Feige, Talk to Oscar Isaac. I think the ball's really in their court. It's as much or as little Moon Knight as Oscar wants to do. Kevin's the guy with the master plan, and I think when he comes up with a way to really incorporate Moon Knight into there … It's my hope that we're gonna see him again, but I'm as curious as the rest of you guys. "Moon Knight" season 1 was made prior to the restructuring with Marvel Television after the creative overhaul on "Daredevil: Born Again", and Marvel Studios is now focused on making more traditional TV shows that run for multiple seasons. Given how the Moon Knight finale ended, there are seeds planted that could lead into season 2 and beyond. However, based on Slater's comments, it will all be up to Kevin Feige and Isaac in the long run, and they may simply be trying to look at how they could extend Moon Knight for several seasons beyond season 2. What may be holding up Moon Knight season 2 right now is the fact that Marvel Studios is trying to finish The Multiverse Saga, as Phase 6 has only a handful of movies and TV shows lined up for the final chapter. The idea may be to do more with Moon Knight in Phase 7, especially if Feige and Isaac find more organic ways for season 2 to work in terms of stories. Given how much there is to explore with Moon Knight, the journey is most likely not over for him yet. Whether or not that will be in the form of the Moon Knight TV show going forward with more seasons or having Isaac appear in other projects where they can continue to explore Marc, Steven, and Jake Lockley in the MCU, alongside other Marvel players, remains to be seen. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Egypt confirms denial of airspace access to US B-52 bombers News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Sports Neymar Announced for Brazil's Preliminary List for 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Arts & Culture New Archaeological Discovery from 26th Dynasty Uncovered in Karnak Temple Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies
