Officials reported local emergency responders are aware of the burn, and a control line has been set in place. During the burn, the public won't be able to access the park, and it'll stay closed overnight to monitor any hot spots. Once the area is deemed safe, it'll reopen.
The tree canopy won't be impacted by the burn, and officials said the completion of the project ultimately depends on weather.
