Lazaryny: Gaza children starving as Israel persistently denies access to food

Gaza's children are starving due to the deliberate starvation policy pursued by Israel, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said on Friday, as the occupier has continued to close the crossings to the Strip and prevent the entry of food and other essentials since March 2.
"In Gaza, children are starving," Philippe Lazaryny added in statements via the X platform.
"The Israeli government continues to block the entry of food and other essentials. This is a man-made, politically motivated starvation."
Earlier Friday, the United Nations World Food Program announced that its food stocks in Gaza had completely run out due to the blockade.
Lazaryny also explained that the tightened blockade imposed by Israel since March 2nd is nearing its second month.
He concluded by saying that this continues while "calls for the entry of supplies fall on deaf ears."

No party has claimed responsibility for these attacks, which have contributed to deepening the climate of daily terror among the population. In areas controlled by armed gangs, the report documented killings of civilians by members of armed gangs, whether during raids or through direct gunfire. It also highlighted cases of torture leading to death inside gang-run detention centers, amid a lack of accountability and independent oversight. In areas controlled by the al-Jolani gang, the report documented deaths under torture in official detention centers, amid a systematic denial of justice and detainees' legal rights. Instances of direct killings carried out by groups loyal to the al-Jolani gang were also documented in the post-collapse phase, reflecting the continued unchecked retaliatory violence. The report stated: "Despite its declining territorial control, ISIS continues to carry out assassinations and liquidations of its opponents, targeting individuals and various areas, exacerbating human losses and strengthening the presence of its active cells." It added: "The Israeli enemy also launched airstrikes on targets inside Syria following the fall of the regime, but some of these strikes resulted in the deaths of civilians, casualties documented by the report as part of cross-border operations." The report added: In northeastern Syria, repeated Turkish attacks on SDF-controlled areas have killed a number of civilians, including women and children, in clear violation of the laws of armed conflict. Gaza – Saba: Al-Qassam Brigades on Sunday showed footage, as part of the "Stones of David" series of operations, of a D9 military bulldozer being targeted with a Yasin 105 missile.
