What to Expect From Bravo's Nepo Baby Reality Show
Bravo is making a big bet on the Gen Z offspring of some of the most famous stars from its 'Real Housewives' franchise. The network released a trailer this week for 'Next Gen NYC,' a show that will follow the lives of four young reality scions and their influencer peers as they navigate work, life and love in Manhattan.
For the reality connoisseurs among us, try to imagine 'Rich Kids of Beverly Hills' meets 'NYC Prep.'
For everyone else, here's a primer.
Who's on the show?
The cast features the offspring of four 'Real Housewives': Ariana Biermann and Riley Burruss, the daughters of the former 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' stars Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Kandi Burruss; Brooks Marks, the son of the 'Real Housewives of Salt Lake City' favorite Meredith Marks; and Gia Giudice, the daughter of the 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' legend Teresa Giudice.
The rest of the cast is made up of a handful of influencers and so-called nepo babies, including Ava Dash, a daughter of the record executive Damon Dash and the fashion designer Rachel Roy; Emira D'Spain, a model and influencer who will be Bravo's first full-time trans cast member; Georgia McCann, a creative strategist Bravo describes as 'New York's ultimate Gen Z It girl'; Charlie Zakkour, a crypto trader and club kid; Hudson McLeroy, Ms. Biermann's on-again, off-again boyfriend and the heir to the fast-food chain Zaxby's; and Shai Fruchter, an assistant at the Wall Group.
What kind of drama can be expected?
'Next Gen NYC' looks relatively restrained compared with the high-stakes drama on some of the editions of 'Real Housewives.' (Legal battles! Shocking divorces! Physical altercations!) But the show has teased Ms. Dash and Ms. Biermann feuding over fashion, and Ms. Biermann cursing out Mr. Marks as Ms. Giudice deadpans, 'This is so stupid.'
There's also the drama inherent to being a young New York transplant, such as Ms. Biermann declaring she's 'absolutely petrified' riding the subway, or Ms. Burruss accidentally tossing her phone into the Hudson River.
Will there be any 'Real Housewives' cameos?
According to Bravo, there will be plenty — and that's probably what they're counting on to boost audience numbers. All of the Housewives whose children appear on the show are slated to make appearances. In the trailer, which was released this week, viewers get a glimpse into Mr. Marks's 'tumultuous work relationship' with his mother and at Ms. Zolciak-Biermann balking at a $14,000 night out. Seth Marks, the husband of Ms. Marks and father of Brooks, also factors heavily into the trailer, asking his son awkward questions about his sex life and saying he's attached to his mother 'like a little baby kangaroo.'
Will it be worth watching?
Honestly, this series feels like a deep cut. People who are not Bravo obsessives should approach with caution. But for those who can rattle off every Housewife by memory, the show premieres June 3 at 9 p.m. Eastern time on Bravo and will be available on Peacock the following day.

New Yorker Who Lived Downstairs From Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz for 10 Years Reveals What Actors Were Really Like as ‘Neighbors'
A New York influencer who once lived in the same building as Hollywood couple Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz has opened up about what it was really like to be 'neighbors' with the A-list actors. Ilana Wiles, a content creator who has earned close to 500,000 TikTok followers by sharing candid 'day in the life of a New York City mom' clips on the platform, revealed the identity of her famous former neighbors in a recent video that was posted as part of the popular 'holy airball' trend. The viral trend, which was inspired by a basketball-themed meme, sees TikTokers hitting back at common misconceptions about their life, family, or careers—usually in a bid to reveal something impressive about their background. Videos posted as part of the trend typically begin with the content creator revealing a simple fact about themselves alongside a photo. In Wiles' case, she wrote: 'Told them my upstairs neighbor was a celebrity,' while posting an image of herself posing in her kitchen. That fact is then followed up with a stranger's less-than-impressed response to that statement. 'So like, one of the Housewives?' Wiles wrote in her video—joking that people always assumed the star she was referring to was a member of the Bravo cast. Then, finally, the truth about the fact is revealed, with Wiles sharing that her neighbors were of a more high-brow Hollywood class, sharing an image of Craig and Weisz with the hashtag #holyairball. In the caption of her clip, the TikTok star shared some further details about her living situation when she was neighbors with the A-list couple. 'For the record, neither of us live there anymore but they were our upstairs neighbors for 10 years!' she wrote. 'I only have nice things to say.' The building in which Craig, Weisz, and Wiles once lived is located on East 10th Street in the East Village. The 'James Bond' star and his wife owned a $6 million penthouse unit for seven years, before selling it in 2019. According to records, the couple, who began dating in 2010, purchased the three-bedroom dwelling in October 2012, then listed it for sale in May 2019 for $6.5 million—just $500,000 more than they had bought it for. They accepted an offer of $6 million in August of that same year. Meanwhile, Wiles and her family lived in a rented unit two floors down, which was last leased for $11,000 a month, according to records. After selling their penthouse in 2019, Craig and Weisz moved to Brooklyn, where they bought a brownstone property in Cobble Hill in 2018. The couple paid $6.75 million for the six-bedroom dwelling with 6,600 square feet of living space. The home was located on 'one of Cobble Hill's most beloved blocks,' the original listing stated. 'This is one of Cobble Hill's largest homes in an ideal location,' the description went on, noting that the dwelling had undergone an extensive renovation in 2011, which saw it outfitted with an elevator, among other updates. The home had been damaged in a fire and required extensive work when it was purchased by the couple. Listing images at the time showed that the property had several unfinished rooms, including a stunning living space with private elevator access and an outdoor terrace. The bones of the home were still awe-inspiring. Several of the rooms boasted fireplaces and enormous windows. SUPERMAN's $700 Million Stakes: What's Riding on DC Studios' Big Bet — GeekTyrant
With Superman flying into theaters this July, this movie is DC Studios' proving ground. A new report from The Wrap reveals the film's massive $225 million budget and what it'll take for James Gunn's DCU relaunch to survive its maiden flight. According to insiders, the break-even line hovers around $500 million globally, but for Warner Bros. Discovery, expectations soar much higher. One talent agent told The Wrap, 'While release dates are important, I don't think the challenge is Jurassic World: Rebirth or any other film. The challenge is almost entirely a question of if Superman resonates with today's audience. Did they successfully update an Eisenhower-era character so the 2025 Gen Z audience can identify with him?' It's a fair question. Superman may be iconic, but that doesn't guarantee modern relevance. The agent continued, 'The simple brand recognition of Superman will probably take them to or close to $500 million worldwide, but anything above that will be because the audience identifies with the title character.' Another source suggested $500 million could still result in a modest profit, but modest won't cut it for Warner Bros. Discovery. David Zaslav is betting the house on DC, Harry Potter, and The Lord of the Rings to pull the studio out of its financial rut. Superman needs to make closer to $700 million to hit that 'win' status in the eyes of the studio brass. And if it falls short? Things get murky. While shows like Peacemaker Season 2, Lanterns , and Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow are still moving forward, 2027 and beyond is another story. Plans are already shifting, Sgt. Rock is reportedly dead in the water, partly due to unpredictable UK weather, and partly due to… well, lack of audience interest. An unnamed source put it bluntly: ''Supergirl' is a much safer bet than, say, Sgt. Rock , which despite a good package, is a property with zero awareness in the greater landscape. There are better superheroes ripe for adaptation in the DC library.' DC's strategy now seems reactive. A studio insider confirmed: 'Outside of anything Batman-related, DC will most likely wait to react to how Superman performs before deciding on which superhero from their library to tackle next. Greenlighting Supergirl may seem risky, but it extends the new universe they are trying to establish and shows a commitment to the larger brand.' Still, Batman can't carry this universe on his cowl alone. The Batman: Part II remains in development, and The Brave and the Bold is creeping forward at a snail's pace. Rumors already hint at a World's Finest movie that would team Superman and Batman, which would be an undeniable crowd-pleaser that also echoes the trajectory of the DCEU post-Man of Steel. It's unlikely Gunn and Peter Safran would be ousted after just one stumble, but the next couple of years will demand a careful balancing act as they make bold creative choices with lesser-known characters like Booster Gold and Swamp Thing, while still delivering some surefire hits. Superman is the litmus test for whether audiences are ready to believe in the DCU again. If it works, it'll give the new era a solid foundation. If it doesn't, we may be watching another rebuild in real-time. July 11 is coming fast. Let's see if the world is ready to believe a man can fly again.
