Arab Finance: The exchange rate of the US dollar to Egyptian pound maintained its value under the EGP 50 mark on Tuesday, reaching EGP 49.76 for purchasing and EGP 49.86 for selling at Banque Misr at 2:05 PM.
At the National Bank of Egypt (NBE), the US dollar recorded EGP 49.76 for buying and EGP 49.86 for selling at 2:14 pm.
Meanwhile, the exchange rate hit EGP 49.75 for purchasing and EGP 49.85 for selling at the Commercial International Bank Egypt (CIB).

Egypt: Foodico's profits rise 32.87% YoY in Q1 2025

Arab Finance: Ismailia National Food Industries (Foodico) saw a 32.87% year-on-year (YoY) increase in its net profits after tax during the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, according to the audited financial statement on May 29th. Foodico achieved net profits after tax of EGP 42.433 million in the three-month period ended March 31st this year, compared to EGP 31.936 million in the corresponding period a year earlier. Net sales hit EGP 122.858 million in Q1 2025, up from EGP 78.082 million in Q1 2024. Foodico is an Egypt-based company engaged in the food industry. Egypt: United for Housing's Q1 consolidated profit up 203.71% YoY

Arab Finance: United Company for Housing and Development (UNIT) posted a 203.71% year-on-year (YoY) increase in consolidated net profit attributable to the parent company for the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, according to the consolidated financial statement filed to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on May 29th. Consolidated net profit excluding minority interest amounted to EGP 37.380 million in Q1 2025, compared to a profit of EGP 12.307 million in Q1 2024. Sales and revenues hit EGP 60.159 million, down from EGP 138.997 million. As per the standalone financial statement, the company recorded a net profit after tax of EGP 37.072 million in the January-March period this year, up from EGP 11.364 million in Q1 2024. United for Housing is an Egypt-based company that operates in the housing and real estate investment sector. The company is primarily engaged in real estate investment activities in Alexandria and other governorates.
