Swansea City will seek to stop the rot in the Championship as they head to Ashton Gate to face Bristol City on Sunday (12:00 GMT).

Hometown Hero – Jackson Colton, Lincoln
PROVIDENCE, RI (WPRI) — This week's Cardi's Furniture & Mattresses Hometown Sports Hero is Jackson Colton. The Lincoln Senior recorded 11 kills in the Division II Volleyball State Championship game, helping Lincoln sweep the Pawtucket Co-Op Team, and complete a perfect season. It was the Lions second Division II Title in three seasons and the second in school history and it helped validate Colton's decision to give up Basketball to pursue Volleyball full-time. 'I started out as a basketball player too and Jackson, like me, just found his passion more here,' said Lions Head Coach Lyndsey Larson. 'But he's a great athlete in general, and this year he's just led our team not only on the court, but emotionally. He's a monumental player in the growth and progress of Lincoln Volleyball.' His second Championship, in his Senior season, just a little sweeter. 'I mean Coach said it before we got here today, winning this one would be special because this is with my guys, this is my class,' Colton said. 'I feel a tight bond with them, so I mean I have to go with this one. It might also be recency bias, but you know being the underdog in my Sophomore year was also awesome, but this was definitely the one.' Jackson will continue his career at Wheaton College. The Lyons will open their first Varsity season under Head Coach Scott Reslow next Winter. Reslow was one of the winningest coaches in College Volleyball at Johnson and Wales before the Wildcats decided to drop their program in 2020. Continued focus on Volleyball should bring Colton more success at the next level. 'I mean I'm so excited getting the privilege to play at the college level. Forever I thought I was going to do it with Basketball but making the transition over to Volleyball. getting to play with a great Coach in Coach Reslow, a new program I truly believe in as well as getting to play with my Setter, he's coming with me to Wheaton. Reuniting with him, keeping the dynamic duo together, it's just amazing, the best feeling.' 'He's gotten so much better in just a year playing Club Volleyball, I mean the skies the limit for Jackson,' Larson said. 'He's going places.' Sporting pioneer honoured with Welsh sporting accolade
Matthew Evans was inducted into the Wales Sports Hall of Fame and received the Lord Brooke Award for Outstanding Contribution to Welsh Sport (Image: Matthew Evans) A Pembrokeshire sporting pioneer has been honoured with one of the highest accolades in Welsh sport. Matthew Evans, founder of the Long Course Weekend and co-founder of Ironman Wales, was officially inducted into the Wales Sports Hall of Fame. Advertisement He was also presented with the Lord Brooke Award for Outstanding Contribution to Welsh Sport during the ceremony at St Brides Hotel in Saundersfoot. Mr Evans said: "To be inducted into the Wales Sports Hall of Fame with the Lord Brooke Award is truly humbling." He began this journey in 2010 with the first Long Course Weekend, with Ironman Wales starting in 2011. Mr Evans added: "Since then, we've developed world-class sporting events across Wales and around the globe — a journey made possible only through the support of an incredible team." The award recognises the broad impact of Mr Evans' work on Welsh sport, tourism, and the nation's global reputation. Advertisement His events have generated millions in economic benefits, drawn thousands of visitors to Wales, and helped position the country as a leader in endurance sport. Arne Slot gave telling response to Thomas Frank compliment as Tottenham appointment nears
Tottenham is closing in on the appointment of Thomas Frank as the club's new manager after parting ways with Ange Postecoglou last week. 'They (Tottenham) have always been a certain brand of football for me and have a certain identity," Slot said. "I think Ange Postecoglou gives them that identity back completely. Ange is doing great work over there. I hope this is seen a bit more. I also hope, hope, hope that he wins a trophy. 'I'm completely a fan of his team for the Europa League because people always talk about trophies and that it's so important. For his brand of football and his style, it is so much more important and if he can combine that with winning something that would be so good for football in general because people can stop talking about it's too attacking or whatever. How on earth can you play too [much] attacking football?'
