Verizon is the latest US carrier to launch a comms platform for connected vehicles
It's been a few years since AT&T and T-Mobile announced they have started testing their own V2X platforms with major business customers like Honda and Ford. Verizon is only now introducing its first commercial vehicle-to-everything platform, also known as V2X.
The first users of Verizon 's V2X platform are iconic car manufacturer Volkswagen, the Arizona Commerce Authority, the Delaware Department of Transportation and Rutgers University. In a press release, Verizon explains that its so-called Edge Transportation Exchange, a mobile-network vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication platform for connected devices, allows cars to communicate and share key data with each other, pedestrians, and connected roadway infrastructure such as traffic lights, almost in real time.

Besides that, Verizon 's V2X platform can also serve as an API-driven platform for collaborations between automakers, technology developers, and municipal governments, which can leverage the platform's technology to scale their existing connected solutions or come up with new ones for road-user safety.

For non-tech savvy, Verizon 's V2X platform acts as an ecosystem enabler, offering automakers, technology developers, and governments a foundation for the creation of intelligent transportation use cases such as vulnerable road user awareness, roadway and weather condition alerts, and intersection traffic-signal information to help improve traffic efficiency and make road use safer.According to Verizon , the newly launched V2X platform combines its 5G and LTE mobile networks, Verizon 5G Edge mobile edge compute, and geolocation technology enhanced with Verizon Hyper Precise Location. Additionally, the platform takes advantage of a virtual architecture that reduces the need for expensive physical roadside radio units.
Verizon hopes that the data and communication capabilities from its combined technologies and environments will contribute to a smooth mobile network-based V2X ecosystem that business customers can take advantage of for short- and long-term innovation. Apple's hidden AirPods Pro 3 code in iOS 26 Beta tells us when to expect it to arrive
The next version of the AirPods Pro could feature new health features such as the ability to track the user's heart rate and temperature. The one question that everyone wants to know is that with Apple reported to be looking at adding cameras to its AirPods, could we see that in AirPods Pro 3 ? Unfortunately, if the latter model is released this year, it will probably not include a camera. In fact, TF International's Hall of Fame Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says not to expect major changes to AirPods until next year. Steve Moser discovered code about the AirPods Pro 3 in the iOS 26 Beta 1 release. | Image credit-X Kuo says that in 2026 Apple will start building its wireless earbuds with an infrared camera similar to what is used for Face ID. The camera could allow users to enable some kind of in-air gesture controls allowing users to control the device through hand gestures. The camera could also allow AirPods to give users an AI experience similar to Visual Intelligence. This could allow users to hear more about a restaurant they are standing in front of, or hear about a landmark that they are looking at. In other words, the AirPods camera could help to give a user contextual information through the earbud. I really can't see Apple releasing an AirPods Pro 3 this year and coming back next year with an AirPods Pro 4 with a camera. The AirPods Pro 2 was released in 2022 so if we do get a sequel this year, a version with a camera might not show up until 2028. Perhaps that's not a bad thing for Apple. Even though a Visual Intelligence feature for AirPods Pro could be dynamite, the extra time could help the tech giant perfect it. Considering the delays and underwhelming response to Apple Intelligence, Apple's best bet is to roll out the AirPods Pro 3 this year with no camera and come back in 2028 with the AirPods Pro 4 featuring a camera and Visual Intelligence. Unlike those guys that Tim pays millions of dollars to each year for advice like this, he is getting my plan for nothing.

Motorola Razr+ 2025 in for review
We did the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra review, and the Razr 2025 review is underway. Now it's time to welcome the third and final member of the series - the Razr+ 2025, which is exclusive to North America and doesn't have a global version unlike its siblings. Motorola Razr+ 2025 This one sits in the middle of the pack, below the Ultra, above the vanilla. Indeed, it packs some superior specs to the regular Razr 2025 in most categories. The SoC is a more powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with more RAM (12GB vs 8GB). It lacks an ultrawide but offers a 50MP 2x zoom instead. Both displays are better - the inner one has 165Hz refresh rate, while the cover screen is larger at 4 inches vs 3.6 inches. Where the Razr+ 2025 is below its counterparts is in the battery capacity - it's 4,000mAh vs the 4,500mAh on the vanilla and 4,700mAh on the Ultra. Our Razr+ 2025 features the Mocha Mousse paint job. There're also Hot Pink, Peach Fuzz, Spring Green, and Midnight Blue versions. There's a single 12/256GB config to choose from, and it ships with a USB-C cable. The Razr+ 2025 is $799 at the time of this article - down from $999. We've said it time and time again, but Motorola is truly in a league of its own when it comes to phone colors. The Razr+ 2025 looks unique. It feels great too, with a very grippy leather-like finish on the back panel. The hinge is perfectly weighed - not too firm, but it's not soft and vague. Top marks on hardware! Motorola Razr+ 2025 in Mocha Mousse There's also something to be said of Motorola's take on Android. Some of us would go as far as calling it the best Android skin there is, thanks to pixel-perfect scaling throughout the OS, and lovely visuals. On the other hand we need to mention a gripe we have with the Razr+ 2025. Its display came in a Neutral color profile by default, and it's lifeless - very desaturated and dull. Not a big issue, though - you can put the screen in a Vivid mode to rectify this. Interestingly, the Razr 2025 came in Vivid by default. Our review is underway so stay tuned!
