Kane scores as Bayern thump Spurs in pre-season friendly
The England captain then had a chance to double Bayern's lead two minutes later when Joao Palhinha, who joined Spurs from Bayern on a season-long loan on Sunday, gave away a penalty.
Kane however slipped, blasting his shot well over the bar. It was the first time Kane failed to convert a spot kick since his miss in the 2022 World Cup quarter-final defeat to France.
Kingsley Coman added the home side's second with a superb curling shot from the edge of the box with 61 minutes gone.
Bayern teenagers Lennart Karl and Jonah Kusi-Asare both scored in the dying stages to complete the one-sided victory.
Kane joined Bayern in a 100 million euro (£87 million) transfer from Spurs in the summer of 2023.
The match was the Europa League winners' last chance to fine tune before next Wednesday's UEFA Super Cup clash with European champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Spurs have had a mixed bag under new coach Thomas Frank this pre-season, beating London rivals Arsenal along with Reading, while being held to draws with Newcastle, Luton Town and Wycombe.

Salah criticises UEFA for 'Palestinian Pele' tribute: 'Tell us how he died'
Obeid, 41, was killed on Wednesday when Israeli forces "targeted people waiting for humanitarian aid in the southern Gaza Strip", the Palestinian Football Association (PFA) said in a statement. Europe's football governing body UEFA posted on X: "Farewell to Suleiman al-Obeid, the 'Palestinian Pele'. A talent who gave hope to countless children, even in the darkest of times." Egyptian striker Salah responded by posting: "Can you tell us how he died, where, and why?" Born in Gaza City, Obeid was married and had five children. He played 24 international matches for team Palestine. In October 2023, Salah called on "world leaders to come together" to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza to "prevent further slaughter of innocent souls". Since the start of the Gaza war, triggered by Palestinian militant group Hamas's October 2023 attack on Israel, 662 people from the sport and scouting sector have been killed, including 321 in the football community, according to the PFA. Salah, who was the Premier League top scorer last season, is due to line up for Liverpool on Sunday in the Community Shield at Wembley against Crystal Palace, the traditional curtain-raiser to the English football season.

Teen darts sensation Littler wins first World Series crown of year
England's Littler, who became the youngest darts world champion aged just 17 in January, swept past the Belgian 8-4 in Wollongong, south of Sydney, on Saturday night. He also took care of Damon Heta and Stephen Bunting en route in the year's sixth World Series event. "It feels great," said the world number two after avenging his defeat to Gerwyn Price in last year's Australian final. "Obviously it hadn't gone to plan on the World Series circuit this year, but there's plenty of opportunities to win and I've finally picked up that trophy. "I cannot wait for Auckland now," he added of the penultimate World Series tournament next weekend in New Zealand. Littler became a national phenomenon in England with his shock run to the World Darts Championship final in 2024 before being defeated by top-ranked Luke Humphries. It inspired a boom for the sport, with Littler coming above British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and King Charles in Google's most searched for people of 2024 in the UK. His victory over Michael van Gerwen to lift the world championship title this year only added to the teen star's aura.
