LEGO launches four new Fortnite sets for children and older builders
The sets come with exclusive Fortnite digital bonus content
The LEGO Group has unveiled the latest additions to its LEGO Fortnite physical product range. The four new sets include: LEGO Fortnite Peely & Sparkplug's Camp, LEGO Fortnite Durrr Burger Restaurant and LEGO Fortnite Klombo which will all be available to purchase from June 1 and the LEGO Fortnite Mecha Team Leader that is available for pre-order from April and available to purchase from August 1.
The new sets will allow builders to recreate even more of their favourite characters and moments from LEGO Fortnite Odyssey and Fortnite. This announcement follows on from the first-ever release of LEGO Fortnite physical sets last year.
The first product in this latest launch is the LEGO Fortnite Peely & Sparkplug's Camp. This 250-piece set is inspired by some of the first challenges you meet in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, with builders aged 7+ able to recreate the campfire, ruins and workbench settings, with Peely, Sparkplug minifigures, as well as Supply Llama, wolf and skeleton figures also included.
Gaming fans will be able to unlock the Sparkplug Outfit in the LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite games by scanning the QR code on the cover of the building instructions.
The LEGO Fortnite Durrr Burger Restaurant is a 546-piece set which allows builders to construct one of LEGO Fortnite's gameplay locations.
Builders aged 10+ will be able to recreate all the action with four minifigure characters included in the set, such as Beach Bomber, Beef Boss and Grimey. There's also an extra for fans, with the set unlocking the Beef Boss Outfit in the LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite games.
The third set announced, LEGO Fortnite Klombo will allow builders 10+ to befriend one of LEGO Fortnite's characters. Fitted with movable legs, an opening mouth and rotating tail, as well as including a small Klomberry bush with detachable Klomberries, this is an 1,084-piece model.
The set also features minifigures of Island Adventure Peely and Oro and includes a digital bonus allowing builders to redeem the Island Adventure Peely Outfit in the LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite games.
Completing the new releases is a set for older builders, the LEGO Fortnite Mecha Team Leader. The 2,503-piece model offers fans an immersive project based on the character that saved the Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 1 Island.

Xbox cloud gaming could get 'more affordable, more accessible' options, claims Microsoft rep

Xbox is looking to make its cloud gaming service more accessible to players, with a new, more affordable way to access the feature potentially on the way Xbox seems to be setting its sights on gamers who favour cloud-based play, as a spokesperson hints at a more affordable way to engage with the online game streaming system. ‌ Microsoft appears eager to transform everything into an Xbox, but they've overlooked the fact that when everything is an Xbox, nothing is. The firm's enthusiasm to offer all gamers the opportunity to play its games, regardless of their hardware, is audacious. ‌ However, speculation is rife that this could lead them to exit the hardware market entirely, even with the impending launch of the ROG Xbox Ally, as unveiled during this year's summer showcase season. It's a challenging path to tread, but credit where it's due, the company has made significant strides in accessibility. ‌ Perhaps its most underappreciated feature is its cloud gaming system. This provides Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers access to a plethora of games playable on mobiles, smart TVs and PCs via the internet, without any hardware restrictions. This even extends to recent AAA games, which are available without needing a console. It's an incredibly enticing proposition, and while it may not be the most seamless way to play, it opens up a new world for many gamers who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity to experience many new titles. But it appears Microsoft is poised to roll out a fresh initiative to bring the feature to more gamers, as it prepares for a simpler, more user-friendly way of accessing the newest titles. Cloud comes at a price During a recent podcast appearance, an Xbox representative has hinted that the firm might be moving towards a new service offering players cloud gaming at a more budget-friendly cost. Speaking on the official Xbox podcast, Microsoft's Next Generation VP Jason Ronald has revealed that numerous Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers utilise the service's cloud functionality, and suggested there could soon be an alternative way for gamers to access it beyond the rather pricey subscription. 'One of the things we see is there's a lot of players who use Game Pass Ultimate to access the cloud, whether that's the primary way they play, or an additional way to play on the go,' he says. 'I think for us, it really opens up the opportunity to make it much more affordable, and make it more accessible to players. Whether that's going into new regions, or new ways to actually access the cloud.' It's a fascinating proposal, particularly as Microsoft pushes to transform 'everything' into an Xbox, with cloud gaming becoming a massive component of their business approach. A more budget-friendly, easily-accessible subscription to Xbox Game Pass' cloud titles, or even a straightforward way of accessing purchased games through the online platform, would be warmly welcomed in homes that don't actually possess an Xbox console, yet remain eager to dive into the latest generation of gaming. We'll need to wait and discover what this "much more affordable" method of playing via the cloud actually entails, but whatever form it takes, it has the potential to give Xbox an even greater advantage over its cloud gaming rivals. If you're passionate about video games but don't actually own a console, it appears Microsoft could soon make your life considerably simpler.

When is the next Fortnite update? Release date for update 37.10 and what to expect

The next Fortnite update is set to arrive sooner rather than later, and with it will come a few bug fixes to ensure the game continues to run smoothly. Here's what you need to know about Fortnite update 37.10. Fortnite is gearing up for the first update of its new season, promising significant bug fixes (not the type you're imagining), and a handful of fresh quests to keep players engaged. ‌ We're currently in the midst of the bug takeover in Fortnite, and things are shaping up nicely. It's often challenging to predict how successful a season will be from its initial weeks, but with the previous season offering the Super Battle Pass and the Blitz Royale mode, it certainly has high standards to meet. ‌ So far, we've been fortunate – the Shock 'N Awesome Battle Pass is brimming with cosmetics that players are eager to get their hands on, and the official debut of the Mighty Morpin' Power Rangers has resulted in a massive island takeover, with Tokusatsu heroes battling each other in unplanned moments of outfit coordination. It's been enjoyable so far, and although the Bug Queen may not be remembered as one of the game's better bosses, we're still having a blast. ‌ However, change is already looming, with a new Fortnite update rapidly approaching to ensure the game is equipped with the necessary files to continue progressing. So, when is the next Fortnite update? Here's what you need to know. When is the next Fortnite update? The forthcoming Fortnite update is scheduled for Tuesday, 26 August at 1am PDT / 4am EDT / 9am BST. This date has been confirmed by a tweet from leaker @Hypex, and the time is an estimation based on the start times of previous server shutdowns, like for update 36.30 and the 36.20 downtime. We can expect more downtime to accommodate this update into the game, anticipated to last between two and three hours. This will take the launch up update 37.10 to around 4am PDT / 7am EDT / 12pm BST. What's new in the next Fortnite update? At present, not much is known about the first update of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4, especially as the update that came before it delivered so much new content in one fell swoop – but there are a few snippets we can glean thanks to a few leakers in the Fortnite community. Here's what we know about Fortnite update 37.10: via @FortniteStatus via @iFireMonkey ‌ via @ShiinaBR via @Hypex There's not a lot that we know about the incoming gameplay changes to the update, but this certainly indicates that Fortnite is going to become a little easier to use with a new demo and thin client to get stuck into. If you're holding out for the new Kai Cenat Icon skin, you're going to have to wait until 37.20, but maybe it'll be worth the wait if rumours of the new 'companion' cosmetic item arriving at the same time are to be believed.

Roblox parent petition calls for CEO to resign with over 100,000 signatures

The controversy around Roblox has accelerated via petitions, lawsuits, and investigations, as concerns grow around its child safety protocols. Roblox is be one of the biggest games in the world, alongside Fortnite and Minecraft, but it is also the most controversial. The online gaming platform has been frequently accused of exploiting children, while a report last year dubbed it an 'X-rated paedophile hellscape', following an investigation. Roblox has denied all the claims levelled against it, but the game is facing a new wave of problems which have snowballed over the past week. Legal issues for Roblox began with Louisiana attorney general Liz Murrill, who filed a lawsuit against the Roblox Corporation on August 14, 2025. The lawsuit claims the platform facilitates 'the distribution of child sexual abuse material and the sexual exploitation of Louisiana's children'. 'It's basically open season for sex predators on this app,' Murrill said during a press conference. 'Roblox is violating Louisiana law, and that's why we've filed this lawsuit.' The lawsuit is looking to prohibit Roblox Corporation from 'engaging in any activity in violation of [the] Louisiana Unfair Trade Practices Act', and to ensure 'Roblox has adequate safety features' to protect children on the platform. Roblox issued a lengthy statement to address the 'erroneous claims and misconceptions' around the platform, in response to the lawsuit. Delivered to your inbox every Saturday morning. 🚨 BREAKING: Today I'm suing Roblox – the #1 gaming site for children and teens – and a breeding ground for sex to Roblox's lack of safety protocols, it endangers the safety of the children of Louisiana. Roblox is overrun with harmful content and child predators… — Attorney General Liz Murrill (@AGLizMurrill) August 14, 2025 'Every day, tens of millions of people around the world use Roblox to learn STEM skills, play, and imagine and have a safe experience on our platform,' the statement reads. 'Any assertion that Roblox would intentionally put our users at risk of exploitation is simply untrue. 'No system is perfect and bad actors adapt to evade detection, including efforts to take users to other platforms, where safety standards and moderation practices may differ. We continuously work to block those efforts and to enhance our moderation approaches to promote a safe and enjoyable environment for all users.' However, this lawsuit isn't the only problem facing Roblox. A petition created by MrMhGaming has called for Roblox Corporation CEO, David Baszuki, to resign. At the time of writing, it has racked up over 112,000 signatures. 'Roblox is supposed to be a safe and creative space for children,' the petition reads. 'But under the leadership of CEO David Baszucki, that safety has been repeatedly compromised. 'Instead of prioritising the protection of young users, Roblox Corporation continues to allow harmful and exploitative behaviour to thrive on its platform — with little accountability or transparency.' The situation has attracted the attention of famous investigators too. As confirmed on X, journalist Chris Hansen, who is best known for hosting the hidden camera reality series To Catch A Predator, is investigating the scandal around Roblox. More Trending 'You may have heard that my streaming crime network TruBlu and I are investigating the exploitation of children on the popular gaming platform, Roblox,' Hansen said. 'It's absolutely true and we're deep into it. I've already interviewed law enforcement investigators and victims of this horrible activity.' He added: 'Will Roblox actually say anything about it? Will it make any changes? We're going to do our best to hold them accountable.' Launched in 2006, Roblox is a free-to-play platform primarily driven by user-created content and in-game purchases. It grew in popularity in the late 2010s, but concerns around its content moderation have led to it being banned in several countries, including Turkey, China, and Jordan.
