Who is Ghattamaneni Jaya Krishna? Meet Mahesh Babu's nephew debuting with RX 100 director Ajay Bhupathi
Ghattamaneni Jaya Krishna is the son of Mahesh Babu 's elder brother, the late actor Ramesh Babu. Ramesh had made his debut as a lead in Telugu cinema in 1987 after a brief stint as a child artist.
Making his debut with the film Samrat, Ramesh Babu went on to appear in 15 films as a lead actor, including titles like Bazaar Rowdy, Mugguru Kodukulu, and more. However, after playing a supporting role in 1997's Encounter, he retired from acting.
He later transitioned into production in 1999, beginning his behind-the-scenes journey as an executive producer on Amitabh Bachchan 's starrer Sooryavansham.
Moving forward, Ramesh Babu went on to produce and present four films featuring his younger brother Mahesh Babu in the lead: Arjun, Athidhi, Dookudu, and Aagadu. Though he stepped away from the limelight for a while, the actor-producer sadly passed away at the age of 56 on January 8, 2022, due to liver disease.
Now, years later, his son and Mahesh Babu's nephew, Ghattamaneni Jaya Krishna, is all set to make his debut in Telugu cinema under the direction of Ajay Bhupathi. According to a report by The Economic Times, Jaya Krishna has been undergoing intensive acting training in the USA.
With multiple reports suggesting he reviewed various scripts, it appears he has chosen Ajay Bhupathi to helm his launch project.

For those unaware, Ajay Bhupathi is a Telugu-language filmmaker who made his directorial debut with the romantic thriller RX 100, starring Kartikeya and Payal Rajput. Following its success, he went on to direct Maha Samudram in 2021 and most recently helmed Mangalavaaram in 2023.
An erotic psychological thriller, Mangalavaaram features an ensemble cast including Payal Rajput, Nandita Swetha, Priyadarshi Pulikonda, Divya Pillai, and others. The film is currently available for streaming on JioHotstar.

The plot revolved around an upcoming batting prodigy, Anina Dixit, who lost her right hand in an unfortunate accident right before her international debut. However, things took a turn when a failed test cricketer, Padam Singh Sodhi, gave her new hope to become a bowler and started training her with unconventional techniques. The duo started training as they aim to make Anina qualify and make it into the Indian Women's Team within 10 months. Alongside Saiyami Kher, the film also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Angad Bedi, Shivendra Singh Dungarpur and Ivanka Das, among others, in prominent roles. According to media reports, the actor is set to collaborate with director Jithu Madhavan, best known for Romancham. The shoot is expected to begin at the end of 2025 and the actor is likely to play a police officer. Suriya's Next Film Karuppu: Suriya's upcoming film Karuppu teaser has been released. The film was announced in June this year. The teaser opens with power power-packed avatar of Suriya. The scene keeps on shifting. It is set against the village carnival. A voiceover adds gravitas, as Suriya makes a compelling entrance. On July 22, Suriya shared the poster and wrote, 'See you tomorrow." Fans immediately reacted to the poster and praised his look. In June, the first poster for Karuppu was released. It was visually intense, immersed in a striking blood-red hue, setting a powerful and ominous tone. At the center is actor Suriya, silhouetted against the red mist, holding a large machete in a commanding pose. His stance conveys confrontation, strength, and possibly vengeance. War 2 Box Office Collection Day 5: Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR-starrer sees sharp fall, crosses ₹180 crore
War 2 Box Office Collection Day 5: Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's film War 2 is heading close to the ₹ 200 crore mark at the box office in India. While the film has witnessed a decline in earnings on Monday, it has managed to cross the ₹ 180 crore mark. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, War 2 has minted ₹ 8.50 crore net on day 5 in India. The total earnings of War 2 are 183.25 crore net in India as of now. War 2 released on 14 August in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The theatrical occupancy for War 2 saw a decline owing to the first working weekday. It had an overall 13.59% Hindi occupancy on Monday. The occupancy was: Delhi NCR held the highest screenings for War 2 (Hindi in all formats) with 1,244 shows. It is followed by Mumbai with 856 shows and Ahmedabad with 606 shows. Surat and Pune also recorded a strong number of screenings for War 2 compared to other metro cities. On the other hand, War 2 saw about 19.82% occupancy among the Tamil audience on Monday. The occupancy in theatres was: For the Tamil version of War 2, Chennai recorded the highest with 80 shows. All regions across the Tamil belt registered screenings in double digits only. Meanwhile, the Telugu version of War 2 registered about 18.99% occupancy on August 18. The occupancy was: The Telugu shows of War 2 recorded the highest in Hyderabad with 371 shows, followed by Vizag-Visakhapatnam with 125 shows. The rest of the Telugu belt recorded screenings in double digits. On day 4, War 2's India Net Collection was ₹ 174.75 crore while the Worldwide Collection was ₹ 268.25 crore. On the same day, the film's Overseas Collection was ₹ 60 crore. On day 4, War 2's India Gross Collection was ₹ 208.25 crore. War 2 is directed by Ayan Mukerji. It is clashing with Rajinikanth's Coolie at the ticket window.
