, the veteran actress who has given Bollywood cinematic gems like no other, recently sat with us for a candid cup of conversation. Her movie 'Tapasya' recently completed 49 years, and the actress melted rocks with her tears in the movie.
However, in her exclusive chat with us, she confessed not liking the 'rone-dhone vale roles.'
'I did Kabhi Kabhie and Tapasya almost simultaneously. But I enjoyed Kabhi Kabhie a lot more. But I've to admit that Tapasya was an iconic film,' he said.
In the movie, Rakhee's character sacrificed everything for her family. This is something that a lot of people believe is disappearing from society. Thus, when we asked Rakhee if she would do a role like this again in the current day and age, she said, 'Why not? There are thousands of women all across India and the world who look after their families without complaining.
It may be fashionable to put oneself above the family in some sections.
Not all women, or for that matter, men, think that way. And that's fine.'
Despite the sacrifices, Rakhee's character was not a pushover. Shedding light on the same, she said, 'Not at all! She chose the life that she did. I don't think anyone has the right to judge an individual's choices.'
Then drawing comparison with real life and society, the actress added, 'I feel there is too much slotting.
