Joey O'Brien warns ‘there are two halves to go' as he hails Shelbourne's historic win over Rijeka in Europa League

The League of Ireland champions can guarantee Conference League football next week 'STILL OPEN' Joey O'Brien warns 'there are two halves to go' as he hails Shelbourne's historic win over Rijeka in Europa League JOEY O'BRIEN hailed a 'big result' after Shelbourne shocked Rijeka in the Europa League qualifiers. The Reds came from behind away from home to upset the Croatian league and cup holders. Niko Jankovic opened the scoring for the Croats from the spot but headers from Sam Bone and John Martin sealed a famous victory on the road. And Reds boss O'Brien said: 'We don't play opposition in our league as good as that. 'It was obviously going to be a really difficult game. But as I said to the boys, European football has four halves of football. 'There's two halves to go. We have a small advantage but it's two halves done and there are two halves to go. Advertisement 'Everything is still open. I still don't think we're favourites to go through. Obviously, it's a big result for us. But it's only two halves done. We have a small advantage. I still think they're the favourites. But it's a home leg for us. 'We have a good record at home and it's all to play for.' And O'Brien still thinks his side can show more ahead of next Tuesday's second leg. He explained: 'I didn't really like us in the first half in our own possession. Real Betis vs Como friendly descends into chaos with ex-Premier League ace SLAPPING opponent and punches thrown

A so-called friendly between Real Betis and Como descended into chaos as players from both sides threw wild punches at one another. Cesc Fabregas' Serie A side won the clash 3-2, but not before trying to go 12 rounds with their rivals after a stunning brawl erupted at the end of the first half. Former West Ham star Pablo Fornals was at the centre of the fracas as he exchanged blows with Máximo Perrone. The rivals were seen squaring up to one another before they got involved in a shoving match. However, he was unable to do so as Betis and Como players rushed over to intervene, before many of them also ended up in grappling matches of their own while trying to diffuse the situation. There was one unfortunately ludicrous moment in the melee as Cucho Hernandez came flying in to try and land a punch on a rival, only to punch his own team-mate, Natan, in the face instead. Fornals avoided being sent off despite landing the first blow, with the same lack of punishment also going to Hernandez following his attempted flying punch. In the aftermath, ex-Arsenal star Hector Bellerin tried to speak to the referee to get the situation under control. In a rarely seen move, Bellerin's red card was REVERSED before the end of the first half. Both teams are now at risk of retrospective punishment.
